Methods : The study having a defining characteristic was held between the dates of January 2017 and June 2017 at an obesity clinic of the department of en docrinology and metabolic diseases of a training hospital. Within the scope of the sample 257 people that applied to the hospital between these dates, and accorded with the boundedness of the study were taken. The data of the study were gathered through face-to-face interview method by using personal information form and self-care agency scale.The data were analyzed using percentages, numbers, Student’s t-test, Mann Whitney U test and Kruskall Wal lis test analysis. Results : Findings: Of the individuals in cluded in the study 81.7% were female, 30.7% of them are in the 51-60 age group. It was found that 78.2% of individuals had chronic disease and 56.4% of them were first degree obese. The overall average of self-care power of the individuals was determined as 100.13± 18.44. No significant difference was found when the overall average of self-care power was compared according to BMI. In the study, it was determined that gender, age group, marital status, income status, regular physician control, physical activity and education have a significant effect on self-care. Conclusion : As a result of this study, it was found that the average self-care agency score of the obese indi viduals included in the study was moderate. The research was conducted in two stages with a total of 800 students from 4 schools between the dates of 25.12.2016 - 31.05.2017. In the first stage, a questionnaire form consisting of 21 questions was applied to all students, and their height and weight measurements were collected. In the second stage, the planned educational intervention was implemented (n = 490) and the height and weight measurements of the students were collected again. The perception of students' body structures changed according to their genders before the intervention (p=.006), however, after the intervention, there was no correlation between the gender of students and their perception of their bodies. In addition, it was determined that the rate of those who stated that they, generally, had a healthy diet after the intervention increased from 38.8% to 52.2%. According to the results obtained from the research conducted, female students, at higher rates, perceive their weight incorrectly than male students. The intervention had little effect on the BMI of the students, while the proportion of those who had a healthy diet, and those who were physically active had increased. Based on the results obtained, it can be said that increasing the number of intervention programs and studies targeting adolescents will be effective in achieving positive results.","PeriodicalId":309117,"journal":{"name":"INTERNATIONAL REFEREED ACADEMIC JOURNAL OF SPORTS","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115809717","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Method: \"Aggression Scale\" developed by Kiper (1984) was used to obtain the research data. This scale, developed by Kiper (1984), consists of 30 items with three sub-dimensions: destructive aggression, impulsive aggression and passive aggression. Multi-Frequency Analysis, Independent Sample T-Test, and One-Way Analysis of Variance were applied by using SPSS 21.0 program in data analysis. Results: There is no difference between the aggression attitudes of female football players according to age, education, year of doing sports, the environment where they grew up and lived, and where they live (p>0.05). Conclusion: It has been determined that the aggression scores of female football players who do not smoke and alcohol are higher than those who do. Around the world, 15-23% of children live with a mentally ill parent. Aim : This review was written to draw attention to the negativity of the children of parents with mental problems. Method : In the literature, studies with parents and children with mental and mental health prob-lems were screened. The studies and the related statistics were evaluated. Results : Five of the 10 most common diseases leading to disability and premature death are men-tal disorders. These; depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, alcoholism and compulsive di-sorders. Children living with parents who have a mental illness face many risks. The probability of suicide associated with these disorders is quite high. It is known that parents’ suicide history may be a risk factor for suicide in childhood. Psychopathology can be detected in some of the parents of the abused children. In addition, children are at risk for psychopathologies that may develop as a result of sexual abuse. Conclusion : In order for children to be able to spend this challenging process in a healthy way, health workers play an important role. Health workers should accept the parenting roles and res-ponsibilities of their patients and the needs of other family members, espe- cially children, and take appropriate approaches. ABSTRACT Definition and Importance : Mental health is the ability of the person to make peace with one-self and with the people around him / her and to make the necessary efforts to ensure continuous balance, order and harmony. Mental problems are characterized by inconsistency, incongruity and insufficiency in different degrees of thought and behavior ( Çam and Engin, 2014). According to the World Health Organization; the prevalence and frequency of mental problems and problematic individuals are increasing. There are 25% of people in the world who have one or more mental and behavioral problems throughout their lives. According to United Nations reports, 450 million people in the world are struggling with a mental or neurological disease. The rate of having a mental disorder should be treated in the United States at a level of 15% and 20% in Turkey. According to the mental health profile results in Turkey, mental illness is seen in 17.2% of the population ( Pine and Peters, 2014). Mental disorders bring psychological, social and economic burden to society. It also increases the risk of physical illness ( WB, WHO and HSPH, 1996). Aim : This review was written to draw attention to the negativity of the children of parents with mental problems. Method: In our current study, plyometric exercises were applied to the participants 2 days a week on different days for 8 weeks. Physical measurement tests, such as height, body weight, body mass index, vertical jump, standing long jump, 30 meters sprint, back and leg strenght were given to the athletes at different times in the training program as pre-test and post-test. The findings obtained from the participants were analyzed with the SPSS 24 statistical package program. It was determined that the results showed normal distribution (2.0>x>-2.0) and the paired sample t test, which is one of the parametric tests, was used. Findings: At the end of the research; In female handball players, it was found that there was a p<0.05 difference in favor of the post-test in body weight, 30 meters sprint and vertical jump tests, and there was a p>0.05 variation in body mass index and standing long jump measurements.
