Abstract

Aim: This research is to reveal the aggression levels of 103 female football players playing in women's football clubs in Tekirdağ and Kütahya provinces, according to their cigarette and alcohol use. In addition, the aggression levels of the participants were examined according to their age, education, years of doing sports, the environment where they grew up and lived, and where they lived. Method: "Aggression Scale" developed by Kiper (1984) was used to obtain the research data. This scale, developed by Kiper (1984), consists of 30 items with three sub-dimensions: destructive aggression, impulsive aggression and passive aggression. Multi-Frequency Analysis, Independent Sample T-Test, and One-Way Analysis of Variance were applied by using SPSS 21.0 program in data analysis. Results: There is no difference between the aggression attitudes of female football players according to age, education, year of doing sports, the environment where they grew up and lived, and where they live (p>0.05). Conclusion: It has been determined that the aggression scores of female football players who do not smoke and alcohol are higher than those who do. Although it has been scientifically proven that smoking and alcohol use trigger aggression, our results show the opposite.
