The objective of this study is to provide tools for driving behaviour identification with the associated risk as regards of handling loss. This study aims to take into account the infrastructure, driver and the vehicle interactions, which are useful to evaluate this risk accurately.We propose in this paper a vehicles trajectories analysis in bend within a suitable Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm framework. At first, we will be interested on vehicle trajectory definition and experimental data acquisition. Then, we will make an experimental trajectories classification in order to determine several classes of trajectories. Afterwards, we will make a vehicle trajectories stability analysis in order to identify safe and unsafe fields of the observed trajectories. Lastly, one will use machine learning methods to predict failure trajectories.","PeriodicalId":308909,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Advances in Computational Tools for Engineering Applications","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131362203","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The antenna is based on a 10mm × 25mm × 1.6mm FR4-epoxy substrate, is microstrip-line fed and has a partial ground plane. The proposed antenna is designed and simulated using the Finite-Element Method (FEM) and the Method of Moments (MoM) for two different switching conditions. The impedance bandwidth, gain, efficiency and radiation patterns of the antenna are demonstrated. It is shown that the antenna is suitable for WiMAX, C-band and X-band operation.","PeriodicalId":308909,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Advances in Computational Tools for Engineering Applications","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116511409","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is acquired by means of a multidimensional unconstrained nonlinear minimization algorithm based upon the Nelder-Mead direct search method. In doing this, we minimize the sum of squared residuals. The best fit is simply achieved by a direct comparison of the experimentally measured cumulative distribution function (CDF) of the recorded data with the set of curves derived from the model of interest. A good minimization can be reached only if the real CDF is accurately estimated. We show, particularly, that the new approach yields the best spiky clutter parameter estimation. The proposed estimator is more efficient than existing estimation methods.","PeriodicalId":308909,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Advances in Computational Tools for Engineering Applications","volume":"148 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123405085","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An error function is constructed based on the even- and odd-mode analysis, impedance, transmission and scattering matrices of the phase shifter, which is a frequency of its geometrical dimensions, such a widths, gaps and lengths of strips. The design procedure also incorporates the specified wide band source and load impedances. The minimization algorithm is used as the combination of the genetic algorithm and conjugate gradient method. It means thinking about quality in terms of all functions of the enterprise and is a start - to - finish process that integrates interrelated functions at all levels. The problem appears by defining the “Total Quality” term. In this paper, Quality is not only meeting customer's requirements, formal and informal, at lowest cost, first time and every time, it includes also the requirements of the environment. This requires the enlargement of traditional TQM concepts and the creation of a new model and framework for Environmentally Conscious TQM (ECTQM) where TQM is within “Design for Environment”.","PeriodicalId":308909,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Advances in Computational Tools for Engineering Applications","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125451357","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method includes an algorithm based on Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy observer to prevent rollover of the vehicle when road adhesion conditions change. To design such observer, we take into account that roll rate can be measured easily by sensor, but roll angle is not measured. The proposed method allows estimating the roll angle and the roll rate from measurable signals such as lateral acceleration yaw rate and the vehicle parameters. Performance and robustness of the estimator are evaluated through numerical simulations, using various scenarios.","PeriodicalId":308909,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Advances in Computational Tools for Engineering Applications","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126590595","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to prove that approach, two different experimental works are done. The first is done using one branch amplifier with variable load impedance and the second using LINC amplifier with Chireix combiner without stubs. Indeed, in the experimental work, an advanced load pull implementation tools is used where a computer controlled tuner is connected at the amplifier output in order to produce the desired load impedance. Also, a series power meter, network analyzer and RF sources were used to accomplish these measurements. The output power and the efficiency obtained from both measurements are compared and very good agreement between them is shown.","PeriodicalId":308909,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Advances in Computational Tools for Engineering Applications","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127897762","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed model evaluates the increase in the inversion layer charge density caused by the high electric field in the pinch-off region near the drain which leads to the kink effect. The charge sheet model is thus a precise evaluation to describe the output characteristics of n-channel poly-Si TFT. Comparison between the model and others results show an excellent agreement taking into account different geometrical and structural parameters such as channel lengths, widths and various grains sizes of polysilicon layer.","PeriodicalId":308909,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Advances in Computational Tools for Engineering Applications","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133132375","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
