Penelitian menggunakan model eksperimen dengan desain control pre-post group dengan purposive sampling . Penelitian mengambil empat kelas yaitu dua kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen dan dua kelas sebagai kelas kontrol. Pada analisis data penelitian terbagi menjadi dua yaitu analisis data sebelum dan sesudah penelitian. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh peningkatan gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,44 dan peningkatan gain kelas kontrol sebesar 0,19. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran inkuiri berbasis proyek mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemandirian belajar siswa. The aims of this research are to know increase students’ self-learning to the application of project based learning. Studies using experimental models with pre-post design control group with purposive sampling. This study conducted in fou classes, two classes as the experimental class and another two as the class control. In the analysis of research data is divided into two data analysis before and after the research. From the research results obtained by increasing the gain of 0. 44 experimental class and increase control class gain of 0. 19 . BTL model or meaning learning is developed to train life skill. One of the skill that has to be mastered by students is thinking skill. The aim of the research is developing BTL model to develop creative thinking skill and student’s character at heat subject and to know the developmentcreative thinking skill and also student’s character of responsibility, discipline, curiousity, and communicative. The research’s subject is VII H students of SMP N 3 Semarang at academic year of 2012/2013. This study is a research and development of quasi-experimental design type design pre-test and post-test one group.Validation product test is done by supervisor. Products produced are learning instrument, such as syllabus, lesson plan with integration of character value, work sheet arranged by creative thinking skill’s aspects and assessment sheet. Design of this research is Pre-Experiment with One-Group Pretest-Posttest. Sampling was done by purposive sampling. The methods of data collection in this research are documentation, test and observation. Assessment of psychomotor, affective and activities were done by direct observation with observation sheet. Students cognitive are measured by pretest and posttest results. Gain analysis showed that the average of students activities are increased in the high category. Psychomotor and affective are increased in the high category but students cognitive are increased in the medium category. Data diperoleh melalui tes tertulis dan wawancara. Responden penelitian terdiri atas 76 mahasiswa semester 2 yang belum mendapat mata kuliah termodinamika dan 67 mahasiswa semester 6 yang telah mendapat mata kuliah termodinamika. Mahasiswa diberi tiga pertanyaan mengenai temperatur, kalor, dan hukum pertama termodinamika. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) dalam pemikiran mahasiswa terdapat konsepsi alternatif pada materi temperatur, kalor, dan hukum pertama termodinamika; (2) konsepsi alternatif yang terjadi pada mahasiswa semester 2 disebabkan oleh faktor pembelajaran, intuisi, kerangka teori spesifik, apresiasi konseptual, dan pemahaman kurang mendalam; (3) konsepsi alternatif yang terjadi pada mahasiswa semester 6 disebabkan oleh fragmentasi, intuisi, kerangka teori spesifik, apresiasi konseptual, dan pemahaman kurang mendalam. The purposes of this research are to explore kind of alternative conceptions of physics students on thermodynamics’ concepts and to explore the factors that due to these alternative conceptions. In this research, we used written test and interview. Respondents consisted of 76 students of second semester were not passing yet thermodynamics subject and 67 students of sixth semester passing thermodynamics subject. Students were given three question about temperatur, heat, and the first law of thermodynamics. Empowering learning science with a focus on the development of a scientific  attitude (responsibility, honesty, cooperation, self-confidence, curiosity, and creative) is an alternative way of integrated elements of character and increase student achievement. This aims of research to implement an integrated character education in learning science with Holistic learning model to cultivate scientific attitude and improve student achievement. Subjects were elementary school third grade students Patemon 01 Elementary School year 2012/2013. This research used classroom action research design that consist of three cycles. Data collected by using documentation, observation sheets, and test method. The results of data analysis showed an increase in scientific attitudes and student achievement. Barium ferit dan karet alam yang difabrikasi dengan komposisi (1-x) barium ferit + (x) karet alam; 0,2 ≤ x ≤ 0,5. Pencampuran dilakukan pada suhu ruang. Campuran tersebut dicetak dengan tekanan sebesar 3 Ton. Sampel diuji mekanik untuk menentukan kerapatan dan keelastisitasan. Sampel dengan komposisi 50% barium ferit memiliki daya tarik yang besar yaitu diberi beban sampai 1,332 kg, namun memiliki kerapatan yang kecil yaitu 1,79 x 10 -2 (kg/m 3 ). Hal ini disebabkan karena semakin besar bahan pengikatnya, maka kekuatan mekaniknya akan semakin kuat. Semakin banyak barium ferit yang digunakan maka nilai magnet remanen akan semakin besar. Komposisi 80% barium ferit memiliki nilai magnet remanen yang paling baik yaitu 0,79 (kG) dan memiliki nilai koersifitas (Hc) lebih dari 200 Oe. Ini membuktikan bahwa magnet yang dibuat termasuk magnet keras. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti dan memberi gambaran bagaimana keterampilan dasar mengukur mahasiswa pendidikan fisika FMIPA Universitas Negeri Semarang menggunakan alat ukur panjang non digital, massa digital dan non digital, waktu digital dan non digital. Dengan melakukan survey pada mahasiswa yang telah dianggap terampil dengan ditunjukan dengan nilai praktikum yang baik peneliti melakukan pengambilan data rata-rata, dan data tersebuat digunakan untuk membandingkan mahasiswa semester 1 yang digunakan sebagai sampel pada penelitian ini. Pada pengukuran massa digital (neraca digital) diperoleh data dari 80 mahasiswa dalam praktikum yaitu pada kompetensi terdapat 51,9%  mahasiswa yang terampil, dan 48,1% mahasiswa tidak terampil. Pada pengukuran massa non digital (neraca triple beam balance) diperoleh data dari 80 mahasiswa dalam praktikum yaitu pada kompetensi terdapat 59,6% mahasiswa yang terampil, dan 40,4% mahasiswa tidak terampil. Pada Pengukuran panjang non digital (mistar) diperoleh data dari 80 mahasiswa terdapat pada kompetensi 65,4% mahasiswa yang terampil, dan 44,6% mahasiswa tidak terampil. Pada pengukuran panjang non digital (jangka sorong) diperoleh data dari 80 mahasiswa dalam praktikum yaitu pada kompetensi terdapat 61,5% mahasiswa yang terampil dan 48,5% mahasiswa tidak terampil. Pada pengukuran panjang non digital (micrometer) diperoleh data dari 80 mahasiswa dalam praktikum yaitu pada kompetensi terdapat 47,8% mahasiswa yang terampil terampil dan 52,2 % mahasiswa tidak terampil. Pada pengukuran waktu digital (stopwatch digital) diperoleh data dari 80 mahasiswa dalam praktikum yaitu pada kompetensi terdapat 70,5% mahasiswa yang terampil dan 29,5 % mahasiswa tidak terampil. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan bertanya siswa dan mengetahui apakah hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VIII MTs NU Ungaran melalui pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan pendekatan inkuiri lebih baik daripada pembelajaran diskusi-informasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan posttest-only control design. Data penelitian didapatkan melalui tes dan lembar observasi. Sedangkan analisis statistik menggunakan uji t terhadap data posttest diperoleh = 3,092 dengan harga  = 1,981 pada α = 5% dan dk = 78. Karena , diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa hasil belajar siswa kelompok eksperimen melalui pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan pendekatan inkuiri lebih baik dari pembelajaran kelompok kontrol dengan metode diskusi-informasi. Learning is still centered on the low ability of teachers to ask students.
