This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 10 dan 4 Malang with total partistipan as many as 136 students. The research design used was nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Data on students' critical thinking skills were obtained from the results of the essay test, and the results were analyzed by Anacova technique. The results showed that Ricosre had an effect on students' critical thinking. Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran Ricosre terhadap  keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. The research design used a quasi-experimental design without pre-test. Experiment class learned with Problem Posing by using WhatsApp learning model while the control class learned with Problem Posing learning model. Instruments measuring cognitive learning outcomes in the form of objective tests are 25 questions and motivation questionnaire with total 34 statements. The results showed that there are differences in motivation and cognitive achievement among students that learned with Problem Posing- WhatsApp learning model with group of students with Problem Posing model. Students that learned with Problem Posing by using WhatsApp learning model has an average of 79.67 and a motivation for cognitive achievement of 79.25, while the group of students that learned with Problem Posing learning model has an average of 73.89 and motivation for learning outcomes cognitive at 71.74. Key Words: problem posing learning model, WhatsApp , motivation, cognitive learning outcomes, stoichiometry Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbedaan motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan model Problem Posing- WhatsApp dengan yang dibelajarkan model Problem Posing pada materi stoikiometri. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan rancangan eksperimental semu tanpa pre tes. Instrumen pengukuran hasil belajar kognitif berupa tes objektif berjumlah 25 soal dan angket motivasi berjumlah 34 pernyataan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedaan  motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif antara kedua kelas. Siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model Problem Posing - WhatsApp memiliki rata-rata motivasi sebesar 79,67 dan hasil belajar kognitif sebesar 79,25, sedangkan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model Problem Posing memiliki rata-rata motivasi sebesar 73,89 dan hasil belajar kognitif sebesar 71,74. This research was conducted in SMA Bina Bangsa Surabaya in Odd Semester of Academic Year 2015-2016. This research is qualitative research which was done by employing reading speed test and comprehension test of biology concept. The subject of this research was 41 students of X-MIA class in SMA Bina Bangsa Surabaya. The data were analyzed by employing descriptive qualitative. The results showed an increase in average reading speed of 481 wpm, with an average understanding of the concept of 73%. Key Words : speed reading, biology conceptual understanding, reading speed Abstrak : Metode speed reading membantu siswa untuk belajar secara efektif, efisien, dan mandiri dalam memahami suatu bacaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kecepatan membaca dan pemahaman konsep biologi siswa dengan menerapkan metode  speed reading . Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Bina Bangsa Surabaya pada semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2015-2016. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang dilakukan dengan uji kecepatan membaca dan uji pemahaman konsep biologi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 41 siswa kelas X-MIA SMA Bina Bangsa Surabaya. Data tersebut dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan rata-rata kecepatan membaca 481 kpm, dengan rata-rata pemahaman konsep 73%. The first one was used to identify student misconception in the mass balance topic at macroscopic, sub-microscopic and symbolic levels. The second design aims to correct the misconceptions discovered by using the POE strategy. After three weeks the delayed test was done to find out the concept improvement using POE strategy. This design was also used to determine the effectiveness of POE strategies to achieve the aims. The results showed misconception on mass balance material with an average of 32.97%. The average POE effectiveness of 76.02% with high effectiveness criteria and retention of understanding with POE strategy after 2 weeks on average was 91.27% with very good criteria. Key Words : misconception, mass balance, POE, industrial chemistry, two-tier test Abstrak : Penelitian deskriptif dan pra eksperimen bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa dalam neraca massa pada tingkat makroskopik, sub-mikroskopik dan simbolik. Sedangkan rancangan pra eksperimental bertujuan untuk memperbaiki miskonsepsi yang ditemukan dengan menggunakan strategi POE. Rancangan pra-eksperimental juga digunakan untuk mengetahui keefektifan strategi POE dalam memperbaiki miskonsepsi siswa pada materi neraca massa. Setelah tiga minggu dilakukan delayed test untuk mengetahui perbaikan konsep dengan strategi POE. Rancangan pra-eksperimental (pre-experimental) yang digunakan adalah modifikasi model one group pretest-posttest design dengan satu macam perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi miskonsepsi pada materi neraca massa dengan rata-rata 32.97%. Selain itu didapatkan efektifitas POE rata-rata 76.02% dengan kriteria efektivitas tinggi dan retensi hasil remidi dengan strategi POE setelah 2 minggu rata-rata adalah 91.27% dengan kriteria sangat baik. This study is a quasi-experiment with balanced control group design . The subject of this study was XI Graders of IPA 1 and IPA 3. The results of this study indicate that lab-work learning assisted with Vee Diagram could motivate more the students as well as generating students high-order thinking skills than lecturing-demonstration learning method. The research subjects consisted of 37 XI grade students from each experimental class and the control class. Instruments test in the form of 5 description questions to measure problem-solving abilities and performance questionnaires to measure ICT literacy skills. The results of the manova statistical test showed that the value of wilks lamda has Sig. (0.005) < (0.05). This shows that discovery learning assisted by moodle influences ICT problem solving and literacy ICT skills. Key Words : problem-solving skills, ICT literacy, discovery learning, moodle Abstrak : Penelitian ini memiliki desain mixed method explanatory yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pembelajaran discovery berbantuan moodle terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan literasi ICT siswa SMA Negeri 1 Purwoharjo. Subjek penelitan terdiri atas 37 siswa kelas XI dari masing-masing kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen test berupa 5 soal uraian untuk mengukur ke-mampuan pemecahan masalah dan angket performen untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi ICT. Hasil dari uji statistik manova didapatkan nilai wilks lamda sebesar Sig. (0,005) < (0,05). Hal tersebut menunjuk-kan bahwa pembelajaran discovery berbantuan moodle berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan literasi ICT. The instrument was developed by Treagust model which has three stages of defining content; obtain information; development of diagnostic tests. A total of 100 students were subjected. All question items consist of 15 items have been classified as valid, with result of reliability analysis equal to 0.717, average test of power difference 0.45, all item problem is in range 0.35–0.67 at level of difficulty, construct validity r = 0.531, N = 100, p = 0.000. False negative content validity test is 6.47% and false positive is 9.07%. Based on the analysis result, this instrument is feasible to identify student misconception. Key Words : human reproduction system, misconception, three-tier test, student Abstrak : Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan instrumen three-tier test sistem reproduksi manusia dalam mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa. Instrumen dikembangkan dengan model Treagust yang memiliki tiga tahapan yaitu mendefinisikan konten; memperoleh informasi; pengembangan tes diagnostik. Sebanyak 100 siswa dijadikan subjek. Seluruh item soal terdiri 15 butir soal tergolong valid, dengan hasil analisis realibilitas sebesar 0.717, rerata uji daya beda 0.45, semua item soal berada pada rentangan 0.35–0.67 pada tingkat kesukaran, validitas konstruknya r = 0.531, N = 100, p = 0.000. Uji validitas konten persentase false negative sebesar 6.47% dan false positive sebesar 9.07%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis maka instrumen layak untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa. The purpose of this research was to investigate the RICOSRE learning model potency in learning outcomes gap on different academic ability. The current study was design as a quasi-experiment with pre-test post-test non-equivalent control group design. Based on data analysis, RICOSRE learning model is able to improve cognitive learning outcomes, so, the students’ learning outcomes gap in school with different academic ability is getting closer. Key Words : cognitive learning outcome, RICOSRE learning model, academic ability Abstrak : Hasil belajar adalah kemampuan siswa setelah menerima pengalaman belajar. Faktanya masih terjadi kesenjangan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Kesenjangan ini dapat diperkecil dengan model pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui potensi model pembelajaran RICOSRE dalam mempersempit kesenjangan hasil belajar kognitif pada siswa dengan kemampuan akademik berbeda. Desain penelitian menggunakan kuasi ekperimen dengan pre-test-post-test non equivalen control group design. Berdasarkan analisis data, model pembelajaran RICOSRE mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dengan kemampuan akademik rendah dan tinggi, sehingga kesenjangan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada sekolah dengan kemampuan akademik berbeda semakin kecil. This study used a quasi-experimental design with pretest and posttest control group design. The study used 10 multiple choices with open-ended questions. The data were analyzed using ANCOVA. The results showed that higher order thinking skills of students learned by inquiry learning with distributed scaffolding better than the control class. Every inquiry stage which integration with scaffolding train student to organize prior knowledge with new knowledge. Further research can deepen qualitatively about the thinking process of students in learning Physics with distributed scaffolding. Key Words : higher order thinking skills (HOTS), distributed scaffolding, inquiry Abstrak : Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji pengaruh scaffolding terdistribusi dalam pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS) siswa, pada pokok bahasan optik geometri. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan pretest and posttest control group design . Instrumen penelitian untuk mengukur HOTS berbentuk pilihan ganda beralasan sebanyak 10 soal. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan Ancova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran inkuiri disertai scaffolding terdistribusi lebih baik dari pada kelas kontrol. Setiap tahapan inkuiri yang terintegarasi bersama scaffolding melatih siswa untuk berpikir pemecahan masalah yang komplek. Penelitian lanjutan dapat memperdalam secara kualitatif tentang proses berpikir siswa dalam pembelajaran Fisika dengan scaffolding terdistribusi.
