Faktor yang berasal dari peserta didik adalah motivasi, daya intelegensi, dan konsentrasi. Dari ketiga faktor tersebut motivasi seringkali menjadi aspek yang paling diabaikan dari strategi pembelajaran. Pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik berbasis masalah dirasa mampu menumbuhkan motivasi belajar. Pendekatan saintifik (scientific approach) adalah salah satu model pembelajaran yang dalam prosesnya memuat kaidah-kaidah keilmuan, mulai dari pengumpulan data dengan observasi, menanya, melakukan eksperimen, mengolah informasi atau data, hingga mengomunikasikan dengan tujuan memberikan ruang pada peserta didik secara luas untuk melakukan eksplorasi dan elaborasi materi pembelajaran, serta mampu mengaktualisasikan kemampuan melalui kegiatan pembelajaran yang telah dirancang oleh pendidik. Artikel ini berisi uraian kegiatan pembelajaran pada mahasiswa dengan tujuan memberikan pemaparan mengenai tahapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis masalah dalam menumbuhkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Pembelajaran Mekanika Tanah dengan Pendekatan Saintifik Berbasis Masalah dapat dilakukan dengan dan tanpa kegiatan praktikum. Meski tanpa praktikum, tahapan yang dilakukan tetap mengacu pada lima tahapan dasar yakni mengamati, menanya, mengumpulkan informasi, menalar, dan mengkomunikasi. This study used descriptive methods, while the data analysis carried out in the hypothesis research was Pearson's product moment correlation with data collection tools, namely a questionnaire for Variable X (Influence of Quantum Teaching Learning Model) and Variable Y (Student Character Building) The statistical test used in this research is using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation statistical test. From the test results obtained correlation test (r) 0.96 with a determination test of 92% and to determine whether or not the correlation coefficient is significant at the real level (α) = 0.05, the \"t\" test is held. From the test results obtained tcount > ttable (3.19 > 1.67), then the hypothesis is accepted. The sample in this study were all 32 students of class 11A22, 32 students at Quality Berastagi University, PGSD study program. Data on the level of students' motivation and perceptions were obtained through a questionnaire, while data on mathematics learning achievement was obtained from the results of the mathematics test on the subject of cubes and blocks. From the research results obtained information that the learning motivation of 37.5% of students included in the low category. Students' perception of mathematics is 34.4% of students in the medium category. While the average student achievement shows a pretty good achievement, as many as 37.5% of students. The influence of students' motivation and perceptions of mathematics on student achievement in mathematics is indicated by a coefficient of determination of 0.76. This shows that the percentage of the contribution of the influence of students' motivation and perception on mathematics to mathematics learning achievement is 76%. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode experiment. Dengan pelaksanaan latihan yaitu tip indan under the basket shoot. \u0000Populasi adalah seluruh siswa putra ekstrakulikuler Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Medan Tahun 2020 yang berjumlah12 orang. Jumlah sampel 10 orang diperoleh dengan teknik purposive random sampling, selanjutnya dibagi menjadi dua kelompok dengan teknik matching pairing yaitu kelompok latihan tip indan under the basket shoot.Instrumen penelitian untuk pengumpulan data dengan tes dan pengukuran yaitu tes vertical jump untuk mengetahui power otot tungkai. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 6 (enam) minggu dengan latihan 3 (tiga) kali dalam seminggu. Untuk melihat pengaruh masing masing variabel bebas maupun terikat digunakan perhitungan statistic uji- t berpasangan dan uji t tidak berpasangan. \u0000Analisis hipotesis pertama dari data pre-test dan data post-test peningkatan power otot tungkai dalam permainan bola basket pada kelompok latihan tip in diperoleh thitung sebesar 2,76 serta ttabel sebesar 2,13 dengan =0,05 (t hitung > t tabel) berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Jadi, latihan tip in berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan power otot tungkai dalam permainan bola basket Pada Siswa putra Ekstrakurikuler Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Medan Tahun 2020. \u0000Analisis hipotesis kedua dari data pre-test dan data post-test peningkatan power otot tungkai dalam permainan bola basket pada kelompok latihan under the basket shoot diperoleh thitung sebesar 2,52 serta ttabel sebesar 2,13 dengan =0,05 (t hitung > t tabel) berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Involves analytical arithmetic operations. The transition from high school to university level is a learning process that is quite difficult if it is not accompanied by the right understanding. Understanding the concept of chemical materials obtained from high school, when studied at the university level, different meanings are obtained. This different understanding is what we often call misconceptions. Therefore, to find out the misconceptions that occur in students is a necessity and need for lecturers or teachers, so that they can be used as guidelines and guidance to deal with these misconceptions. This study was conducted to identify the percentage level of difficulty and general chemistry misconceptions for students of mathematics education at the University of HKBP Nommensen, using a random sampling technique. This research was carried out in 5 stages, namely (1). Creating a four-tier test diagnostic instrument; (2) Judgment of instruments by experts; (3) Data collection and interviews (4). Data processing and analysis, (5). Conclusion. Based on the results of data analysis and identification results in this study, the category of student conceptions in the Acid-Base solution material is the percentage of students who experience several categories of conception, namely understanding concepts, understanding partially, misconceptions, not understanding concepts and cannot be coded. The percentage of these categories is as follows; 24% of students fall into the category of understanding concepts, 32% of students fall into the category of partial understanding, 11% of students fall into the category of misconceptions, 30% of students fall into the category of not understanding concepts and 2% of students fall into the category of not being able to code, which means that not all students answered all the questions in the four-tier diagnostic test instrument. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Kalkulus II dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran matematika Knisley (MPMK), yang diukur dari nilai tes dan motivasi belajar. Tahapan dalam setiap siklus dilakukan sesuai dengan apa yang dinyatakan oleh Kemmis dan Mc Taggar yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan/evaluasi dan refleksi. Keberhasilan penerapan model ini ditentukan oleh perolehan nilai rata-rata tes/ujian berbobot minimum B, dengan ketuntasan belajar lebih besar atau sama dengan 75%. Pada akhir siklus nilai rata-rata mahasiswa meningkat dari 57,6 (pretest) menjadi 78,5 dan ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 41,6% (pretes) menjadi 90%. Motivasi belajar mahasiswa berada pada kategori tinggi sebesar 90%. Pencapaian ini diduga karena mahasiswa diberi ruang yang besar untuk mengeksplorasi kemampuan yang memicu peningkatan motivasi belajar mandiri. \u0000Kata kunci: hasil belajar, motivasi, model pembelajaran matematika Knisley, \u0000 \u0000Abstract \u0000This research is a classroom action research in the calculus course, which is carried out in two cycles. The study aimed to improve student learning outcomes in the Calculus II course by applying the Knisley mathematics learning model, which was measured by test scores and learning motivation. The stages in each cycle are carried out according to Kemmis and Mc Taggar’s model, namely planning, action, observation/evaluation, and reflection. The success of the MPMK application is determined by an average score achievement of the test/exam with a minimum weight of B and learning completeness greater than or equal to 75%. At the end of the cycle, the average score of the students increased from 57.6 (pretest) to 78.5, and learning completeness increased from 41.6% (pretest) to 90%. Student learning motivation is in the high category of 90%. Ruang lingkup penelitian merupakan kajian kritik sastra yaitu kajian semiotika. Pembatasan masalah dalam penelitian yaitu penulis mengambil semua aspek semiotika pada jenis tanda seperti ikon, indeks, dan simbol. Sumber data ada dua yaitu sumber data primer dan sumber data sekunder. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik hermeneutik dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis teks.
