With the proposed formula, a new algorithm is built to assess the transient stability to rank the power buses in a multi-machine power system, serving the power system expansion planning. The regulations of the AFR and AVR systems affecting the electromechanical transient processes are simulated to calculate the transient energy margin values for the cases of symmetrical/asymmetrical faults occurring in the test power system. Organic and non-organic recyclable waste, which is a large part of the municipal solid waste generated, has caused increasing environmental concerns. The process of recycle is crucial for environmental sustainability. According to estimations from the United States Environmental Protection Agency, around 75 percent of the total waste can be recycled; and we only recycle 25 percent. The rest of the non-recycled waste is land filled and incinerated. By implementing new and novel recycling techniques, we can increase the recycling percentage and preserve natural resources and reuse the byproduct as industrial materials. The present paper presents an inexpensive yet reliable Smart Recycle Bin that based on modern technologies, such as environmental sensors and the LoRaWAn protocol to assist with the recycle process and automate the waste classification process. The proposed system can achieve 94.7% accuracy while it keeps the implementation costs & complexity low, compared to similar projects found in literature.","PeriodicalId":302947,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Electrical, Communication, and Computer Engineering (ICECCE)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127473668","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As well as focusing on building tools for applications in rehabilitation medicine and physical therapy. The neuromuscular system is an important mechanism in human life. In the event that the muscles are stressed or contracted while the subject is recovering, the need for recovery and stimulation tools is an important part of the physical therapy. We designed electrical circuits for automatic control and used an ARDUINO microcontroller to connect analog and digital ports to transmit and receive clinical parameters. The number of voluntary subjects was 20. Each subject remembered to perform 5 stimulation sessions for 10 minutes. Total period that the researcher collects data is approximately 3 months. The trials were based on ethical studies in humans, where trials and researches showed that subjects were 980% satisfied with very few side effects, and subjects had improved muscle development.","PeriodicalId":302947,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Electrical, Communication, and Computer Engineering (ICECCE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131060901","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In initial experimental results, the output values did not reach target values. The three target values are stator nominal current, nominal torque, and nominal rotational speed per minute (rpm) on the nameplate of the actual motor. Therefore, the goal of this research was to determine the optimum values for the six input parameters that contribute to the minimum difference between the output and target values. This was conducted using MATLAB SIMULINK and evaluated using the Grey relational analysis. Two simulated motors are used to optimize inputs for getting output values that are very closed to the target values. The output values of the simulated motor were almost identical (98.5-99%) to the values of targets on the nameplate data on the actual motor in the laboratory. Therefore, the output values of the simulated motor allow us to study motor faults experimentally. Another result is that a new equation was developed during this research work.","PeriodicalId":302947,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Electrical, Communication, and Computer Engineering (ICECCE)","volume":"127 6","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132152831","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The pumping powers and wavelengths, channels allocation, and remote amplifier's Erbium-doped fiber length and position are optimized by taking into account the link's systemic performance aiming to maximize the equalized optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) at the receiver. An iterative algorithm to allow the sequential design of each element of the unrepeatered system independently is proposed, reducing the computational effort and avoiding its convergence to an optimum local solution. Employing the proposed method, an unrepeatered optical link encompassing both distributed Raman amplification and remotely pumped amplifiers was designed, showing an equalized received OSNR improvement of about 0.6 dB in comparison with a straightforward optimization algorithm. In practical applications, the OSNR gain in system performance can be converted into improvements in link reach and capacity.","PeriodicalId":302947,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Electrical, Communication, and Computer Engineering (ICECCE)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130928805","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These signals are generally noisy by other sources, which can therefore lead to a loss of information on BRB fault. This paper proposes a denoising method in order to improve the statistical factor sensitivity (correlation coefficient: CC) and the spectral envelope for the early detection of failure of rotor bars. The proposed method is based on a DWT decomposition using the sliding window (db27) associated with an optimized thresholding operation. First, the DWT is applied to the vibration signals to get the approximations and details. Second, every detail is reconstructed, in order to denoise every reconstructed detail. For the exact choice of reconstructed and denoised detail (recd), a statistical study based on the calculation of the correlation coefficient of each reed is carried out. This coefficient is compared to the threshold coefficient. This condition is met in this paper by recd3 and recd4. A spectral envelope of drecd3 and drecd4 is then applied to detect the harmonics, which characterize BRB faults.","PeriodicalId":302947,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Electrical, Communication, and Computer Engineering (ICECCE)","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130472697","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the difficulties in high-frequency coverage is the outdoor to indoor (O2I) penetration loss for indoor users. An estimation in O2I penetration losses can help operators decide to ensure proper usage of available radio resources in the range of 5G. This paper presents an estimation of the variation pattern of penetration losses with varying frequencies, within 5G supported range, for different building exterior conditions. To mitigate this problem, sources of debris and their pathways to the riverine environment need to be identified and quantified. The scope of this study is to obtain visual information of floating debris which is crucial in developing a robotic platform for riverine management system. Therefore, an object detector using You Only Look Once version 4 (YOLOv4) algorithm is developed to detect floating debris for the riverine monitoring system. The debris detection system is trained on five object classes such as styrofoam, plastic bags, plastic bottle, aluminium can and plastic container. After the first training is conducted, image augmentation technique is implemented to increase training and validation datasets. Finally, the performance of the proposed debris detection system is evaluated based on the highest mean average precision (mAP) weight file, classification accuracy, precision and recall.","PeriodicalId":302947,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Electrical, Communication, and Computer Engineering (ICECCE)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122224959","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
