However, while we know the impact of these studies on academia by analyzing their citation score in different indexing outlets, little is known about their impact on social networks. The current study aims to measure the impact of the top 100 vaccination papers on social networks. An Altmetrics analysis is conducted to measure the Altmetrics attention scores of the paper. We retrieved the data through the Web of Science and Scopus. The researchers selected Altmetric.com as a tool to obtain social media and mainstream internet outlet counts. The findings of the study revealed that there is a significant correlation between the citations and Altmetric indicators. Our findings indicate that Twitter and Mendeley represent the most contributes social networks in the final AAS in almost all journals included in the study. The study’s findings have confirmed that COVID-19 vaccination papers have gained many citations and attention on social networks.The study’s main limitation is that it only measured the Altmetrics score for the top 100 papers. Hence, while the current paper gave us insight into the performance of vaccination papers on the social web, there is a need to conduct further studies covering a larger sample.","PeriodicalId":302120,"journal":{"name":"2021 22nd International Arab Conference on Information Technology (ACIT)","volume":"110 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133297607","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The new proposed system allows a video classification network to run on edge devices to alert the homeowner of any significant events happening in front of their home without any other input, such as the button being pressed. The key aspect of the new proposed system is the creation of a doorbell dataset that can provide researchers with a set of videos that is large enough to properly train a network that is ready to be implemented on a user’s doorstep. The paper also identifies advances that could be realized with a proper dataset available to train a video CNN, such as real time event notifications and automatic video sorting.","PeriodicalId":302120,"journal":{"name":"2021 22nd International Arab Conference on Information Technology (ACIT)","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130939081","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has thus become essential to understand the nature and the weight of the factors that influence it and to foresee its future changes in order to ensure good governance, improve hospital management of material and financial resources and therefore be ready to face emergency situations such as the ongoing global pandemic. Using Python programming language, different supervised machine learning algorithms, were tested on a dataset extracted from digital medical records of hospitalized patients in the infectious diseases department at Sfax university hospital (Tunisia). Different models for predicting the hospitalization cost of a patient upon admission were created and evaluated after having processed and analyzed the collected data. This dataset initially comprised 542 observations and 136 variables including 36 quantitative ones and 100 dummy variables. Two variable selection methods were applied and subgroups of independent variables with different semantic meanings were also used. Despite few shortcomings such as missing data, the most precise of the different tested prediction models was that of 15th degree multiple linear regression. Regressors were the season of the period of hospitalization, suspected diagnosis and patient characteristics such as gender. When applied in reality, this tool would make it possible to predict the hospitalization cost and therefore forecast precise budgets. However, technical improvements remain to be made in order to optimize the quality of this tool and other algorithms could be tested to further broaden this study. The generalization of the implementation and use of well-developed digital medical records would allow the production of more complete databases from which better prediction models could be generated.","PeriodicalId":302120,"journal":{"name":"2021 22nd International Arab Conference on Information Technology (ACIT)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123841916","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many organizations have well developed information privacy protection mechanisms in place but there are still many organizations that fail to proactively prepare themselves in terms of a rigid organizational information privacy protection program. The same applies for individuals who lack the required knowledge to proactively protect their personal information from being compromised and therefore fall victims to data breaches. For organizations, a data breach can cost the organization millions in terms of recovery expenses and operational interruptions and can cause serious reputational damage to individuals.The objective of this study is to use an honors project presented by the School of Computing at the University of South Africa (UNISA) to promote information privacy protection awareness. This is by means of creating a pre questionnaire for different contexts for organizations and individuals to elicit their current level of understanding regarding information privacy protection awareness. This will serve as a preliminary step for the development of an artefact to promote information privacy protection awareness and the subsequent evaluation of the artefact by means of a post questionnaire. The creation of pre questionnaires will also serve as guidance to students who experience difficulties in their literature review and identifying a suitable context for their study.","PeriodicalId":302120,"journal":{"name":"2021 22nd International Arab Conference on Information Technology (ACIT)","volume":"126 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116204173","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Also, Riva is mainly a facilitated approach that relies heavily on interactions with stakeholders to determine the key entities that constitute the foundation of modeling a BPA-of-interest, especially in its early stages. Accordingly, Riva is not considered an independent approach (without heavy interaction with stakeholders), nor is it applied to support the derivation of generalized BPA models from multiple heterogeneous sources. Furthermore, while deriving business processes from the identified Riva entities, Riva is anticipated to identify and model Case Processes (CPs), Case Management Processes (CMPs), and Case Strategy Processes (CSPs) and their interrelationships. However, the Riva approach proposed in the literature mainly supports modeling CPs, CMPs, and their interrelationships, and lacks the support of modeling the CSPs, nor their related relationships. To address the limitations mentioned above, this paper presents an adaptation to the Riva-BPA modeling approach that enables modeling of a generalized BPA from multiple heterogeneous sources. In addition, this adaptation facilitates the identification of business processes not only based on the direct interaction with stakeholders but also by utilizing independent elicitation techniques of entities. Moreover, this paper extends Riva to model the corresponding CSPs and their related relationships. The proposed adaptation has been evaluated by experts in the domains of business process modeling and software engineering.","PeriodicalId":302120,"journal":{"name":"2021 22nd International Arab Conference on Information Technology (ACIT)","volume":"239 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116707615","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, due to the continuous information growth in current organizations and the increasing needs for scalability and performance, specially while handling a very huge amount of data that generated by various new generation real time applications or social networking sites that could be unstructured or semi-structured data, poses a set of challenges to the existing RDBMS Vendors. Such challenges have created a need for adaptation alternative technologies in the field of data storage and manipulation. NoSQL technology is the alternative category of Database Management Systems that have been emerged as the solution to the ever-growing data requirements. In this paper, the advantages and the limitations of relational databases we will be presented. The NoSQL data model, types of NOSQL data stores, characteristics of each data store, advantages and disadvantages of NoSQL over RDBMS will also be discussed. The paper helps the interest users to take a review of the different database model solutions, which can serve as a base for selecting the proper database model that can satisfy their application requirements.","PeriodicalId":302120,"journal":{"name":"2021 22nd International Arab Conference on Information Technology (ACIT)","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129351103","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

During its early stages, Riva relies heavily on brainstorming the EBEs from stakeholders. However, it does not provide a systematic process for deriving generalized BPA models from multiple heterogeneous sources. Furthermore, when deriving processes from the identified Riva-EBEs, Riva identifies Case Processes (CPs), Case Management Processes (CMPs), and Case Strategy Processes (CSPs). However, the Riva literature mainly supports modelling the CPs, CMPs, and the relationships between them. It does not focus on modelling the CSPs nor their related relationships. Accordingly, Riva has been semantically-enriched by the srBPA ontology component. But this semantic enrichment was limited to the original aspects of Riva and does not address the raised issues. This paper presents an adaptation to the semantic enrichment of Riva (an adapted srBPA ontology) to include the semantic representation of the CSPs and their related relationships, in addition to supporting the representation of BPA concepts and resolving semantic heterogeneity resulting from electing the EBEs from multiple heterogeneous sources. The proposed adapted ontology has been evaluated by checking its consistency, completeness, and redundancy.","PeriodicalId":302120,"journal":{"name":"2021 22nd International Arab Conference on Information Technology (ACIT)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130228126","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The coordinator's major responsibility is to keep the network's nodes in sync. Leader election algorithms can tackle this problem by converting the system from an unstable state in which all nodes are in the same state to a stable one in which one node is the coordinator and all other nodes in the network are aware of it.A new algorithm for replacing a failed honeycomb torus network coordinator with a fresh one is presented in this research. Honeycomb coordinates and network nodes placements are used in the proposed approach to direct election messages. Connection sequences are also used to define the message source and destination for one or more pathways. Concurrency and synchronization are taken into account by the new algorithm. The algorithm ensures that the problem will be solved in less than or equal O (n1.5) messages and O (n0.5) steps.","PeriodicalId":302120,"journal":{"name":"2021 22nd International Arab Conference on Information Technology (ACIT)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130276054","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
