As an outcome of its former appellation, the “UP Ethnomusicology Archives”, UPCE hosts an ethnomusicological collection of about 2500 hours of recorded music in open reel and cassette tape formats, under the authorship of Jose Maceda whose visionary work of putting together these valuable recorded materials left a treasure for ethnomusicology scholarship and research. Kajian ini menggunakan instrumen soal selidik yang telah disahkan kesahannya serta memperolehi nilai kebolehpercayaan yang baik. Data yang diperolehi dari kajian ini dianalisis berdasarkan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensi melalui ujian-t sampel tak bersandar dengan menggunakan perisian IBM SPSS. Dapatan menunjukkan tahap tinjauan berdasarkan tanggapan guru-guru dalam penggunaan platform Google Classroom adalah tinggi. Dapatan kajian ini juga menunjukkan bahawa tahap tinjauan berdasarkan tanggapan guru lelaki dan guru perempuan dalam penggunaan platform Google Classroom berada pada tahap tinggi, walaupun dapatan kajian turut membuktikan bahawa tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan bagi min tinjauan terhadap tanggapan guru-guru dalam penggunaan platform Google Classroom berdasarkan jantina. Answering these two questions would enable educational game designers to better understand game design principles for developing engaging educational games. This research will delve into the psychological aspects of play and attempt to link those aspects to game design elements. Studying Prensky’s six elements of successful games, the Octalysis gamification framework and the fundamental psychological needs, the paper will then present the findings of an exploratory and confirmatory survey from practicing game designers all around South-East Asia. Pelbagai kajian menunjukkan bahawa pembelajaran berasaskan permainan digital adalah berkesan dalam menggalak keterlibatan, motivasi, minat serta peningkatan pencapaian murid dalam pembelajaran. Di samping itu, pembelajaran berasaskan permainan digital juga mampu menyemai kemahiran abad ke-21 seperti kreativiti, komunikasi, kolaborasi dan kemahiran berfikir aras tinggi (KBAT). Namun demikian, laporan Trends in Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) dan Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) menunjukkan bahawa pencapaian murid Malaysia dalam matematik khususnya yang berkaitan dengan pecahan adalah kurang memuaskan iaitu berada di bawah skor purata antarabangsa. Pembelajaran berasaskan permainan digital yang mengaplikasi Minecraft dilihat mempunyai potensi untuk meningkatkan pencapaian murid dalam pecahan. On a positive note, in 2017, the Ministry of Education of Malaysia implemented a new curriculum by introducing two new secondary school subjects, namely Fundamental of Computer Science and Computer Science. These subjects contain five components of computational thinking called ‘techniques, which are taught to Form 1 and Form 4 students, respectively. Likewise, the Department of Teachers Education of Malaysia also introduced six components of computational thinking in its training programs. In contrast, there is a lack of attention to such a concept given to tertiary education. A preliminary survey was conducted in early 2019, which involved 50 students majoring in 21 educational programs. The findings showed 92% of the respondents had no knowledge regarding the computational thinking skill, signifying an urgent need to determine relevant components that characterize such a skill needed in educational programs, which according to Wing (2006) has numerous components. In this study, the researchers aimed to identify relevant components that characterize the computational thinking skill required for students in learning educational programs. An extensive review of documents published in leading online databases, such as IEEEXplore, Science Direct, and Web of Science, was carried out that yielded 116 articles. Further analysis reduced this number to 29 articles that were related to the characterization of the computational thinking skill with 66 components. Among these components, algorithm, abstraction, and decomposition were the top three components with the highest frequency of being cited in the selected articles, registering percentage points of 9.78%, 7.41%, and 5.35%, respectively. Information technology can transform data analysis in a more concise format, accurate, and in a short time, by using any available office application software which is already installed on the computer. However, even though the management at an operational-level in an organization usually already has the software installed on a computer to support the managing of data, the extent of knowledge and skills to use the software efficiently in decision making is still limited. This study applies the Trialogical Model to implement decision support tools for data analysis of distribution lecturer’s teaching and learning (TnL) hour at IPG Kampus Pendidikan Teknik (IPGKPT) by grade specifications. A literature review using the interpretive paradigm involved the Trialogical Model (includes Monological and Dialogical), which is a knowledge-based model was carried out to run the data analysis using a Microsoft (Ms) Excel spreadsheet with Visual Basic for Application (VBA) and graphical interface. Artikel ini menerangkan kajian mengenai penggunaan peranti input tanpa sentuhan dalam mengembangkan kemahiran metakognitif kanak-kanak dalam persekitaran pembelajaran. Kajian ini menggunakan kajian kes deskriptif dengan seorang kanak-kanak berusia empat tahun menggunakan peranti tanpa sentuhan Leap Motion Controller dengan tiga jenis perisian aplikasi. Kajian ini mengikuti Model Meta Kognitif Pemantauan oleh Flavell yang merangkumi empat kelas fenomena dan hubungannya. Artikel ini menerangkan penemuan dari sesi temu ramah dengan tiga orang guru, rakaman video dan sesi pemerhatian berstruktur. Penemuan menunjukkan bahawa bukan sahaja tahap kemahiran metakognitif untuk kanak-kanak yang terpilih ini meningkat, ia juga menunjukkan peningkatan kemahiran motor halus. Penggunaan peranti input tanpa sentuhan mempunyai kaitan dengan pengalaman kanak-kanak, kesesuaian interaksi dan antara muka aplikasi, dan kemampuan kanak-kanak dalam berlatih dan mengaplikasikan isyarat dan gerakan jari dan tangan. Kesimpulannya, kanak-kanak ini bersedia menggunakan peranti input tanpa sentuhan untuk pembelajaran abad ke-21. Seramai 125 orang guru RBT terlibat sebagai responden dalam kajian ini. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan kebolehpercayaan Alpha Cronbach dan analisis penerokaan faktor (EFA) dengan menggunakan perisian SPSS. Hasil analisis mendapati nilai Alpha Cronbach yang diperoleh adalah 0.879 dan 0.722 untuk kesediaan guru dan kesediaan teknologi masing-masing iaitu kedua-duanya adalah melebihi 0.60. Keputusan daripada EFA menunjukkan empat faktor untuk konstruk kesediaan guru dan kesediaan teknologi dengan nilai Eigen masing-masing melebihi 1.0. Konstruk kesediaan guru mempunyai nilai KMO (Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin) 0.581 > 0.5 menunjukkan item-itemnya mencukupi untuk inter-korelasi dan ujian Bartlett adalah signifikan (Chi Square 3175.802, p <0.05), nilai anti-image (Measure of Sampling Adequancy - MSA) untuk korelasi item melebihi 0.5 dengan hanya satu sahaja item iaitu B12 perlu disisihkan kerana nilai yang diperoleh kurang daripada 0.50 serta nilai jumlah varians yang dijelaskan oleh empat faktor tersebut adalah 57.45 peratus. Konstruk kesediaan teknologi mempunyai nilai KMO 0.731 > 0.5, ujian Bartlett adalah signifikan (Chi Square 1159.461, p <0.05), nilai anti-image (Measure of Sampling Adequacy - MSA) untuk korelasi item melebihi 0.5. Tiada item yang disisihkan dan keempat-empat faktor menyumbang sebanyak 70.12 peratus daripada varians keseluruhan. Rosman, Jamilah Hamid","doi":"10.37134/jictie.vol7.1.6.2020","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.37134/jictie.vol7.1.6.2020","url":null,"abstract":"Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menguji penguasaan konsep pengaturcaraan dalam tajuk algoritma bagi mata pelajaran Asas Sains Komputer (ASK) dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran teradun di sekolah. Pendekatan kuantitatif dengan reka bentuk kuasi eksperimen digunakan dalam kajian ini. Pemilihan subjek kajian dijalankan secara persampelan bertujuan melibatkan 59 murid Tingkatan Satu yang mengambil mata pelajaran ASK di sebuah sekolah di Daerah Kuantan. Sampel ini dibahagikan kepada 29 orang murid untuk kumpulan rawatan dan 30 digunakan murid untuk kumpulan kawalan. Instrumen kajian digunakan adalah soalan peperiksaan akhir tahun 2018. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan inferensi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa kumpulan rawatan memperoleh peningkatan pencapaian yang lebih tinggi secara signifikan berbanding kumpulan kawalan. Kesimpulan daripada kajian menunjukkan kaedah pembelajaran teradun memberikan kesan yang positif terhadap penguasaan konsep pengaturcaraan dalam topik algoritma.
