This specific social group is extremely vulnerable and in dire need of protection and a variety of assistance. This is especially relevant due to the growing number of refugees and internally displaced persons in the Russian Federation. Refugee adaptation is inextricably linked to the host community's level of tolerance. The specificity of the host country and the form in which the dominant culture influences visitors is a powerful factor which contributes to the successful adaptation of refugees. In this regard, it is extremely important to form a tolerant environment in which young schoolchildren and students – children of refugees, adapting to the new conditions of the host culture. The object of the study was schoolchildren and students living in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan. To study the tolerance of young people, as well as to study the social attitudes of schoolchildren and students towards refugees, the following methods were used: the questionnaire “Tolerance Index” (G.U. Soldatova, O.A. Kravtsova, O.E. Khukhlaev, L.A. Shaygerova); the “Attribution of Qualities” technique (D. Katz, K. Braley); author's questionnaire (including a bipolar quality scale and questions aimed at identifying socio-demographic characteristics). The average level of tolerance in schoolchildren and students was revealed, significant differences between the groups were not found. The data indicates that half of the students and schoolchildren believe that refugees should be helped no more than everyone else, since locals also have problems. The image of a refugee in modern youth was revealed. It is shown that negative qualities prevail in the image of a refugee: fear, aggressiveness, arrogance, suspicion, anxiety. Among the positive characteristics, the respondents note strength and resilience. Most of the respondents use emotions as a description of the qualities attributed to refugees, which may indicate the assumption that schoolchildren and students think that refugees often experience the following emotions: fear, fear, sadness, anger. On the one hand, it seems important to conduct further research aimed at studying the image of a refugee among modern youth. The problem is considered on the example of multinational Republic of Tatarstan, which is characterized by intensive interethnic interactions with a low level of conflict on ethnic, national or confessional grounds. The scientific-theoretical analysis of the concept of “ethnic identity” was carried out. The author’s definition of ethnic identity as a dynamic and multidimensional formation, which characterizes the feeling (implicit component) and awareness (explicit component) of a person as a member of a certain ethnic group/community, formed in the framework of socio-psychological approach, was taken as a theoretical basis of the research. The materials are compared and the conclusions of published research on the problem of ethnic identity formation in the population of the Republic of Tatarstan are analyzed critically. The conclusions about the specifics of the process of ethnic identity formation in the representatives of the Republic of Tatarstan have been made. The psychological and pedagogical conditions, contributing to the low interethnic conflict in the analyzed region with the high intensity of interethnic interactions were revealed and systematized. Such conditions include: maintaining an attitude of open interaction and openness to change in society; creating conditions for true bilingualism; creating conditions for free worship and dialogue of faiths; creating conditions for representatives of different ethnic groups to realize active attitudes related not only to strengthening culture, but also to business development, social charity and patronage of the arts. Psychological and pedagogical conditions must be implemented at all levels: regional, at the level of institutions and collectives, and at the level of family upbringing. Recently, the problem of psychologi-cal safety of the personality of students has been in the area of increased attention. There is more and more scientific research aimed at studying various aspects of this phenomenon. One of these aspects is to ensure the psychological safety of the individual in different periods of training. The most psychologically difficult period is the period of adaptation of the child to the educational process. The presented article is devoted to the study of this aspect. Four hundred first-graders with a high level of anxiety, which was determined during the control diagnostics, took part in the work. The work used empirical methods and methods of mathematical statistics. At the formative stage of the work, all first-graders were divided into four groups: con-trol and three experimental. In each of the experimental groups with children, psychological correction of one of the play therapy techniques was carried out: non-directive, directive, and integrative, respectively. Upon completion of the formative stage of the study, a control diagno-sis of the level of anxiety in first-graders in the control and all experimental groups was carried out. The results of studying the dynamics of the level of anxiety as a leading element of the struc-ture of the psychological safety of a person after psychological correction made it possible to identify the most effective techniques of the method of play therapy. The data obtained allow us to speak about the presence of statistically significant differences in the experimental group, where play therapy of the integrative type was used. The results of the level of anxiety in first-graders in the experimental group, where psychological correction was carried out by the method of non-directive play therapy, demonstrate less significant differences. This undoubtedly leads to a gradual decrease in the level of mathematical training of students. The purpose of the article is to consider the possibilities of using interdisciplinary connections of mathematical analysis and analytical geometry in the educational process for students of mathematical specialties of the Institute of Secondary professional eduation. The article discusses the methods: 1) the implementation of interdisciplinary connections and 2) mathematical modeling. We believe that these methods will help to increase the level of motivation to study mathematical analysis among students. In particular, we consider the problems of calculating integrals using higher-order curves: ellipses, astroids, cardioids. In this regard, we use the following concepts in mathematical models from analytical geometry: Cartesian coordinate system, polar coordinate system, types of higher-order curves, their analytical expressions and images. Based on these facts, applications of certain integrals in geometric and physical problems can be carried out in the following sequence: a) first of all, students get acquainted with the curve, its analytical representation in the Cartesian and (or) polar coordinate system, its graph is constructed; b) historical information about this curve is given; c) specific tasks are proposed in which it is possible to trace the intersubject connections of analytical geometry and mathematical analysis. Main results of the work: 1) identification of intersubject connections of analytical geometry and mathematical analysis; 2) development of a methodology for the application of certain integrals in problems using higher-order curves. The theoretical significance of the study is to identify the possibilities of using intersubject connections of analytical geometry and mathematical analysis. In these conditions, proper professional self-determination of young people is important. Schoolchildren have not formed the skill of orientation among the specialties. They lack knowledge about the requirements for a particular profession, often they cannot competently assess their personal qualities and abilities, they are guided by the opinion of their parents or the prestige of their future profession. As a result, they go to study at those universities and technical schools that do not correspond to their orientation and interests. It is only during the course of training that students begin to understand that they do not have the necessary abilities that the profession they receive presents to them. However, both teachers and parents of these students insist on further education and obtaining a diploma, instead of helping them choose another specialty. An educational institution, as a rule, is not interested in students going to another educational institution, as this leads to a decrease in its financial security. Psychology, characterizing a mature personality, notes that one of the main criteria of maturity is professional competence in a particular field, not excluding changes in the trajectory of the choice of specialties throughout life. For this reason, researchers believe that professional activity is not a choice for the rest of life and may vary from the stages of personality formation. In many language learning contexts, the textbook is as much an integral part of the school environment as the teacher and students themselves. The textbook itself is usually supplemented by at least a workbook and a DVD. In addition to the textbook, the student is expected to use a variety of teacher-provided handouts in the classroom, and in the digital age will also use a laptop or interactive whiteboard. Therefore, among the professional community, questions have long been raised and continue to be raised about the extent to which educational materials should determine the content of teaching a foreign language, and about the extent to which such ready-made materials really contribute to the creation of an environment of authentic communication. In this context, Thornbury published an article in 2000 challenging the very use of teaching materials in language classes. This is how the term Dogme appeared, which began to be used in the field of teaching foreign languages. He suggested that a foreign language should be taught in the form of authentic communication with minimal reliance on such means as textbooks and the use of information and communication technologies. In such an environment, the students themselves and the teacher are the ones who create the language. Since its inception, the Dogme method has been used by many practicing English teachers around the world. However, it also drew significant criticism from many teachers. The material of the reports of the participants of the International Scientific Conference «Tikhonov Readings» explores how the educational process is carried out, identifying problems arising during studies. An analysis of foreign pedagogical experience in the school and academic systems reveals trends in language teaching methods. In the context of multilingual education and international cooperation, knowledge of a foreign language is a sign of success and competitiveness. Participants of the educational process emphasize the importance of learning Russian, which has the status of an official language used on a par with the native language (in Kazakhstan), the language of interethnic communication (in Moldova), the de facto second native language (in Uzbekistan). The absence of native language teachers and the social exclusion of the population are mentioned among the problems encountered in implementing the educational process in a non-linguistic environment in Iran and Iraq, despite a high interest in learning Russian. Knowing the characteristics of the native language of students and teaching taking into account the grammatical features of their language system helps to eliminate the interference that occurs when mastering a new language and makes it difficult to study it. As a result of an analysis of the best practices of the participants of the educational process, it is possible to discern a tendency to adopt a communicative and activity approach in teaching of Russian as a foreign language, which is to bring the teaching process to the conditions of real communication as close as possible. The use of information and communication technologies plays an active role in the classes, which help to visualize the learning process, convey acoustic features of speech to native speakers, develop critical thinking, and communication skills of trainees.
