The set of controlling speeches consists of BACKWARD, FORWARD, HOLD ON, LANDING, MOVE UP, MOVE DOWN, TAKE OFF, TURN LEFT and TURN RIGHT are trained the SVM. The feature extraction of speech used in this study comprises of “fundamental frequency”, “Energy”, and Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficient”. For performance evaluation, a set of features are used to test the SVM-based system developed by MATLAB. The results show that the average percentage of accuracy of the controlling speeches are 22.22, 46.67, 97.78 and 95.56 for fundamental frequency, energy, Mel frequency cepstral coefficient and all features, respectively. In addition, the interface of SVM-based system and DRONE is developed in practical use.","PeriodicalId":300460,"journal":{"name":"2014 Third ICT International Student Project Conference (ICT-ISPC)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115012228","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our HRM portal connects HR personnel with prospect applicants to create web society for publishing, searching, retrieving, submitting and monitoring HR application process. The application is designed and implemented based on two main concepts of responsive and dynamic web design. With the responsive web design concept, the portal provides applicants with intuitive application process and project information with optimal viewing experience on any device. The dynamic web design concept for the back-end system provides HR personnel with management abilities through the overall application process and project information effectively.","PeriodicalId":300460,"journal":{"name":"2014 Third ICT International Student Project Conference (ICT-ISPC)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123295442","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since the dictionaries which are suitable for the visually impaired are still scarce, we propose Braille Dict as a helpful application for the blind and the visually impaired to get the highest benefit in studying English and improve their quality of life. Braille Dict is an Android application on the smartphone which allows the blind and the visually impaired input English words via a Braille keyboard on the screen. Unlike other approaches, new effective method of inputting six-dot Braille is used to remarkably fasten the performance. Then, the word will be searched from the database and translated into Thai. Importantly, this application will speak all texts for user mainly by using a Text-to-Speech engine which would significantly provide a convenience to the visually impaired.","PeriodicalId":300460,"journal":{"name":"2014 Third ICT International Student Project Conference (ICT-ISPC)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134583667","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A user interacts with the game by placing plastic alphabetic characters on a surface and the game responds by projecting graphics on to the surface. The system uses the surface image and converts it to a binary image. Seven Hu's moments are then computed from each contour of each object in the image. These moments are compared with the stored character contours in order to find the most similar character. The recognized alphabetic characters are grouped into a word. If the word matches the projected picture, the user advances to the next word. Experimental results showed that the accuracy of the matching is 84%.","PeriodicalId":300460,"journal":{"name":"2014 Third ICT International Student Project Conference (ICT-ISPC)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114194090","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While it is hard to create a machine translation engine that can perfectly translates a source language (Thai) to a target language (English), as a more manual method the Translation Memory-based method just provides a translation of an input text by listing the translations of sentences that are similar to that input text. In this work, we propose a method to combine the fully automatic machine translation approach and the Translation Memory-based approach. Our proposed computer-assisted translation system retrieves the translation pairs which are similar to the current input and then flexibly modifies some parts in the translations using a dictionary or translations in a corpus. The system we have constructed is comprised of various tools that each has its own specialty function including GIZA++, Lucene, and MongoDB in which each tool's functions in the system are provided. We also show the overall components, process, and the techniques we use in our system.","PeriodicalId":300460,"journal":{"name":"2014 Third ICT International Student Project Conference (ICT-ISPC)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125862517","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
