There are various benefits using virtual classroom such as optimized cost, distance learning, and flexibility which able to access material anytime anywhere. However the difficulty of interaction between instructor and student is a clear disadvantage of current online learning system. In this paper, we present new approach of online learning called web-based interactive virtual classroom that allow students and instructors to communicate with multiple face-to-face video conferences. Equipped with various systems that general virtual classroom must have including presentation tools, online whiteboard, real-time video and screen sharing. The application also provides more with outstanding interactive features such as quiz system, group system and can be extendable. Experimental results reveal our software work perfectly and provide enough functionality. The integration between improved e-learning and virtual classroom is highly introduced in our final outcome.","PeriodicalId":300460,"journal":{"name":"2014 Third ICT International Student Project Conference (ICT-ISPC)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126843864","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

TRANMEMO allows users to translate a particular text document via a Web browser. Users can edit and revise their translation by comparing the translated documents with the original document provided through the dual panel where two documents are synchronized. TRANMEMO supports the translation consistency by helping users to memorize translation patterns and providing fast search and replace functions where users can search for a word, a phrase or a sentence that they used to translate and replace it with replaceable pattern. The translation patterns are stored in a local database which acts as a personalized dictionary. This personalized dictionary can be used for the translation of other documents.","PeriodicalId":300460,"journal":{"name":"2014 Third ICT International Student Project Conference (ICT-ISPC)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126539989","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of this project is to develop an android application which provides interesting news and events. Moreover, users will be able to manage their event participation, such as reserving their seats in events, registering at the event site, and so on. More importantly, this application uses QR code to provide an easy way to verify participants' identity in an event.","PeriodicalId":300460,"journal":{"name":"2014 Third ICT International Student Project Conference (ICT-ISPC)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114400409","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hardware virtualization reduces the overhead of virtualization and significantly improves the performance, comparing favorably to that of physical machines. However, hardware virtualization is complicated to configure and thus is not widely used. This paper proposes integration of hardware-virtualized network devices into Apache CloudStack to bring the benefits to a larger user base. The proposed mechanism allows virtual machines attached to hardware-virtualized network devices to automatically provision and migrate without any user interactions. Experimental results show that after the initial setup is completed, users can provision new virtual machines without any complicated setup, provisioning, or configuration. The results of a performance evaluation reveal that hardware-virtualized network devices provide higher throughput, lower latency, and lower CPU usage. In addition, we have confirmed that the proposed mechanism has negligible impact on the performance of live migration. These results lead to the positive prospect that hardware virtualization is promising for future cloud data centers.","PeriodicalId":300460,"journal":{"name":"2014 Third ICT International Student Project Conference (ICT-ISPC)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121922645","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Search activities in practice can, however, be conducted by two or more users working together. This is due to the fact that information seeking tasks are complex and often requires multiple users' efforts to collaboratively assess and search for relevant information. In some tasks, there is a large amount of information to search or such information requires human intelligence to judge whether it is relevant to information needs. This paper introduces the development of collaborative search system, named “CoZpace”. CoZpace is a Web-based application, which allows a pair or a group of users to create a collaborative search task. Within the created task, a user can invite and communicate with other members in a group, share search history records, and mark search results considered relevant. We also propose a newly developed feature, called “snapboard”, to support collaborative search activities. With the snapboard, users are allowed to take a snapshot of a part of focused information in a Web site and then share it among collaborators on a display board. A user can mark it as relevant or comment it for further reviews of other collaborators.","PeriodicalId":300460,"journal":{"name":"2014 Third ICT International Student Project Conference (ICT-ISPC)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121733691","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
