Metode penelitian melalui kuasi eksperimen dengan desain kontrol pretes dan postes pada topik bangun ruang terhadap 119 siswa kelas lima di dua sekolah dasar negeri di Karawang. Teknik penentuan sampel melalui purposive sampling. Instrumen melalui tes untuk mengukur SS dan KAM serta non-tes untuk mengobservasi siswa. Secara deskriptif peningkatan SS siswa pada pendekatan CPA lebih tinggi dibandingkan yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional yang dapat diketahui pada n-gain siswa KAM tinggi, sedang dan rendah berturut-turut sebesar 0,514; 0,380; dan 0,316 (sedang), sedangkan kelompok konvensional n-gain siswa KAM tinggi sebesar 0,361 (sedang), KAM sedang dan rendah berurutan 0,135 dan 0,065 (rendah). Secara Inferensial peningkatan SS pada kelompok KAM sedang dan rendah memiliki p-value 0,000 dan 0,001 0,05 artinya tidak berbeda secara signifikan. This study aims to analyze the instructional videos for fifth grade Elementary School. The method used in this research was qualitative descriptive. The data studied were instructional videos about fractional arithmetic operations that were available on the YouTube and ruangguru applications. The data were analyzed based on the characteristics of the audio-visual instructional media, including: 1) Video clarity; 2) Stand-alone aspect; 3) User friendly; 4) Content representation; 5) Visualization with media; 6) Using high resolution quality and 7) Can be used individually or classically. The results of this study indicated that: The content of each video was quite easy to understand and remember. Videos must be accompanied by worksheets so that students take an active role, not just watching. The language used in each video was simple, easy to understand and used common language. The material presented was quite representative and the video contained stimulation regarding arithmetic operations on fractional numbers. The material contained in the video was equipped with the voice of the presenter which was quite clear and there was also text on the video, but there was no animation. Each video used a resolution high enough to produce a clear image and this video could be used on any computer. Videos can be used individually or classically and videos can be viewed anywhere and anytime. Thus, it can be concluded that the five learning videos have almost fulfilled the characteristics of audio-visual instructional media, it's just that additional animations and worksheets are needed so that the videos can be more interesting and students can play an active role.","PeriodicalId":297789,"journal":{"name":"Indonesian Journal of Primary Education","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121394870","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Facts obtained in the field, the learning process is directed at children's ability to memorize information without understanding the information obtained, so that the impact is unable to develop children's ability to think critically and systematically. The purpose of this research is to develop a character-based module for the elementary social studies learning process. This type of research and development uses a 4-D (Four-D) development model which consists of four stages, namely the definition stage, the design stage, the development stage, and the dissemination stage. Online-based learning is a solution during a pandemic. In a COVID-19 pandemic situation character education should not be ignored, especially at the elementary school level. It is because character education is an integral part of education, especially basic education. Elementary school students really need character education for their development needs. Preparing a good generation is the same as instilling prosperity for the future. This study aims to identify the implementation of character education in elementary schools in terms of learning tools; teaching and learning activities; teaching methods; and evaluation. The research method used was descriptive exploratory research. Data was obtained from a survey of elementary school teachers through open and closed questionnaires. The results showed that: the learning tools were designed by adjusting the simplified basic competencies without leaving the Core Competencies (KI) 1 and 2. Learning methods carried out were online, offline, and blended with attention to affective aspects. Learning is designed to instill the values of learning discipline, responsibility in completing tasks, instilling healthy life patterns, honesty, and religious attitudes. Evaluation was done through questionnaires and communication with parents, questionnaires, and rewards. Teachers need to creatively design learning while still considering the character education during the Covid-19 pandemic. Character education during a pandemic will provide a character-based life pattern from an early age anywhere and under any conditions.","PeriodicalId":297789,"journal":{"name":"Indonesian Journal of Primary Education","volume":"154 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131856705","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The approach in this research uses a qualitative research approach with descriptive research methods. The data collection techniques used in this research were observation, interview and documentation. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets of learning activities carried out by the teacher, documentation of learning tools used by teachers and students during learning activities and interview sheets with open answers. The research method is a causal approach implemented in V students in Cikaret 1 Elementary School, Bogor. Based on the calculation results of the regression equation analysis shows there is a positive influence between the two variables, this means that if the variable X rises if the variable Y rises. Based on the results of the Product Moment analysis showed a correlation coefficient of 0.77 and a coefficient of determination of 59% means that there is a very high correlation between study habits with student achievement motivation. If the study habits are high, the student achievement motivation will also be high and vice versa. The results of the analysis showed a positive relationship between learning habits variables and achievement motivation variables with the equation = 81.193 + 0.1174X, meaning that if learning habits experience an increase of one unit, then achievement motivation will increase by 0.1174. Furthermore, the correlation coefficient significance test obtained showed that tcount > ttable with tcount = 11,797 while ttable 2,079. The conclusion of this study is that there is a positive and significant influence on elementary students' learning habits on achievement motivation. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination of 59% means that achievement motivation is influenced by study habits by 59%, while 41% of achievement motivation is influenced by other factors. meaning that if learning habits experience an increase of one unit, then achievement motivation will increase by 0.1174.
