It is difficult to detect keyloggers because they run in a hidden mode. In this paper, an immune-inspired dendritic cell algorithm (DCA) was used to detect the existence of keyloggers on an infected host machine. The basis of the detection is facilitated through the correlation (including the timing relationships) between different behaviors such as keylogging, file access and network communication. The results of the experiments show that it is a successful technique for the detection of keyloggers without responding to normally running programs.","PeriodicalId":296445,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122087665","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this article, based on Turbo code and M-ary phase-shift keying (MPSK), an improved PNC method is proposed. More specifically, the transmitting information of each node is encoded by Turbo codes and modulated to an MPSK signal, and the sum-signal of any two MPSK signals corresponds to a unique exclusive OR (XOR) value of the two transmitting information bits, which can be modulated to a unique MPSK signal. Considering the noise existing in wireless relay channels, Turbo code is adopted to ensure the correctness of signals. Moreover, we analyze the transmission energy consumption of the proposed scheme. It is shown by simulation that the enhanced PNC method can reduce half transmission energy in the relay node over the original PNC.","PeriodicalId":296445,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125568928","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve balanced energy consumption, non-uniform distribution methods are proposed as a network infrastructure modeling scheme. However, node transmission distance, which has significant relevance with energy efficiency, is not factored into calculations. Based on a previous non-uniform distribution method, we analyze energy consumptions under different corona width, and then derive a distribution model with optimal average transmission distance. Results demonstrate an efficiency increase of 24% compared to networks with unadjusted corona widths, and the lifetime of the network is prolonged.","PeriodicalId":296445,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129853158","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hou","doi":"10.1109/CMC.2010.279","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/CMC.2010.279","url":null,"abstract":"In this paper, an improved proportionate normalized least mean square (MPNLMS) algorithm incorporating a data selection strategy based on the set-membership concept is introduced. Proportionate adaptive filters can improve the convergence speed for the identification of sparse systems as compared to their conventional counterparts. Set-membership filtering (SMF) combine a bounded error specification on the adaptive filter with the concept of data-reusing. The resulting algorithms have low average computational complexity because coefficient update is not performed at each iteration. Thereafter, the ideas of the partial-update MPNLMS algorithms found in the literature are incorporated in the framework of set-membership filtering, from which data-selective MPNLMS algorithms with partial-update are derived. The resulting algorithm is flexible in the sense that it allows more general tradeoff between speed of convergence and misadjustment while constraining the overall computational complexity. Simulations show good results in terms of reduced number of updates, speed of convergence, and final meansquared error. Objective tests are made using Composite Source Signals(CSS) according to ITU-T recommendation G.168. The performances meet with G.168 well. o and accurately calculate to-be-detected signal frequency.","PeriodicalId":296445,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130589912","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The improved method employs random Doppler frequency wobble for all individual sinusoids based on the original Exact Doppler Spread Method (MEDS), and when the random wobble amplitude is set to be an infinitesimal real value, the autocorrelation (ACF) of inphase (quadrature) components will converge to the ones of reference model exactly. Due to the ACF arithmetic errors of the inphase and quadrature components compensate each other over a determined domain, the ACF of complex waveforms almost the same to the generalized method of MEDS (GMEDS) but with random Doppler frequencies. Simulation results show that the proposed method is useful for the design of simulation models for diversity-combined fading channels, frequency-selective channels, and multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels, moreover, it has close-form and simple expression for model parameters and can be directly used to simulating multiple uncorrelated Rayleigh fading waveforms with low model complexity and low computation costs.","PeriodicalId":296445,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121969763","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
