The multi-polarized antenna system of the UHF/RFID for using moving vehicles is composed of multiple micro-strip antenna combinations connecting by the RF combiner and diversity unit. From the measurement results it can be seen that the multipath fading occurred in LOS (line-of-sight)/NLOS(non-line-of-sight) short-range radio wave propagation environment is markedly reduced by using the proposed multi-polarized antenna system.","PeriodicalId":296445,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123143485","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, under the gray distributing characteristics of a degraded image, we can get the optimal normal distribution. Second, the gray mean of the sky distribution can be obtained according to the optimal normal distribution. At the same time, to use the gray histogram segments this original image, and we can obtain the iso-depth neighborhoods. Last, employing the model lists equations, and the values of normalized radiance can be gotten. Thereby, the overcast of degraded images can be cleared. Experiments show the method can effectively improve degraded images in bad weather.","PeriodicalId":296445,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127208283","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is necessary to develop new techniques to accommodate the peculiarities of the combined spatial and temporal information that take their outset in existing techniques and minimally extend them. Interpretation of real world phenomena in a process perspective is the core of this model. Processes highly correlate with signal transmission. So, the management of such processes raises new signal manipulation issues. The issues are process progressions and interactions between temporal and spatio-temporal, spatial and spatio-temporal processes during signal transmission. To this end, a new modeling approach, which is based upon π - Calculus, to represent and manipulation these signal transmission is proposed. The representation model consists in describing how a signal evolves in the course of time and space. We associate semantics of π - Calculus also to this description. Concerning the manipulation, five different situations in spatio-temporal process are discussed. Some important future works also reports on this ongoing research.","PeriodicalId":296445,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126067575","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method uses FFT algorithm to implement time-domain correlation, then introduces non-coherent integration and Tong multiple trials to improve the detection ability. Based on the analysis of acquisition time, we have come to the conclusion that there are optimum parameters, and then the means of looking for the optimum parameters is discussed. The conclusion is testified by simulations in which the acquisition time is not same among different parameters decisions. We record the parameters decision with the least acquisition time and find it is same as the decision which is made by the means of computing optimum parameters, so the efficiency of that means is proved.","PeriodicalId":296445,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125305155","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Software has been compiled to simulate BeiDou-2 (BD-2) constellation with 12 satellites and GPS constellation. Based on 27 stations of Crustal Moment Observation Network of China, satellite visibility, dilution of precision (DOP), and availability of BD-2, GPS and integrated BD-2/GPS are calculated and analyzed in detail. Simulation results reveal that the visibility of BD-2 is superior to that of GPS and the variation of DOP of the former is more stable in China. The system availability of BD-2 is superior to that of GPS. And the integrated BD-2/GPS system is superior to any single system in all respects of positioning performance. Without other aided technical measures, GPS is insufficient for the requirement of availability of the required navigation performance (RNP), and BD-2 and integrated BD-2/GPS can meet the requirement of RNP under some conditions.","PeriodicalId":296445,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"170 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126781088","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The network of VANET composed mainly of moving vehicles and fixed Road Site Units (RSU). Because it is expensive to establish RSUs, the number of RSUs is too less to cover all area such as suburbs. In other words, the resources of RSUs are more sparse and precious than vehicles. In order to promote the utility of RSUs, we propose a novel mechanism to arise the efficiency of communication between vehicle and RSU (Vehicle to Infrastructure, V2I). In this paper, the mechanism that we proposed is called “Dispersion Sorting Mechanism (DSM)”. In DSM, each vehicle can calculate their priority of communication individually and reduce the time to compete and obtain the channel. On the other hand, we consider the leaving vehicles from the coverage of communication and adjust their priorities of communication appropriately too.","PeriodicalId":296445,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122677509","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
