Contrasting to the traditional approaches, which merely involved the interest of most users (e. g. most visited videos on Youtube), this paper proposes a novel video representing method based on individual interest model which is formed by collecting and analyzing user behaviors. Furthermore, this model can be extended into group interest model by introducing multi-dimension homo-interest sequence. Experiment results from 100 user cases and database of 25 videos show the effectiveness of our method.","PeriodicalId":296445,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122716124","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, we apply the learning automata techniques to enable a cognitive radio to learn and make decision on channel selection from a set of available channels. The set of randomly available frequency channels is modeled as an unknown environment. As practical networks are usually non-stationary, we propose an adaptive algorithm that enables the cognitive radio to monitor changes in the radio environment and always select the optimal channel after a long run.","PeriodicalId":296445,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122498592","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Attack based validate method is an accurate method and has an intuitive effect of the vulnerability discovery. It is suitable for the IMS network’s safety test before on-line. IMS vulnerabilities are imported by IMS businesses. Attack based vulnerability validation process requires accessing to sensitive information and IMS signaling and the other conditions which will be detailed in this paper. In addition, the paper also describes how to support the vulnerability sequence verification. Experiment shows that IMS-VVP comply with features that IMS-based vulnerability validate tool requires. And it is also loaded with rich examples of attack instances which can correctly and effectively validate IMS network’s vulnerability.","PeriodicalId":296445,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129830940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First of all, the threshold S(T) of the laser stripe is computed by host computer unnecessarily in real time. Second the laser stripe is determined in real time. At last the central line of the laser stripe is detected by templates in real time. The fast algorithm was successfully implemented using VC6.0, then simulated successfully programming with Verilog HDL on the “Verilog XL” software which is developed by CANDENCE corporation. The fast algorithm is implemented by FPGA designed as pipelined architecture. The average time of processing every pixel in each step is less than 74ns. The results of emulation and synthesis show that extracting laser line from a frame of standard PAL video image is completed within 40ms. The advantages of the fast algorithm include easy computing, less data throughput, and fast implementation, etc. It reduces greatly information redundancy.","PeriodicalId":296445,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130372668","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, an improved method based on tone reservation method for PAPR reduction was proposed. To improve PAPR reduction performance, the more appropriate magnitude of the time domain PAPR reduction signals was found by the proposed method. Simulation in single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) system demonstrates that PAPR reduction performance of the proposed method is better than that of the original approach when several PAPR reduction subcarriers were used.","PeriodicalId":296445,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126786210","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When radio signals are transmitted, diffraction, attenuation, multi-path and scattering are often very serious. All the problems make the WSN system difficult to reach the set bit error rate when transmitting images. V-MIMO, which makes every node of the WSN work together, is adopted in the paper. In order to improve the system capability and reliability, virtual multi-antennas receive- diversity-aided method is also used in the paper. What’s more, considering the peculiarity of transmission underground coal mines, the paper uses OFDM wireless transmission to take further advantage of MIMO and improve the reliability in data transmission. So it is possible for the WSN system to transmit image signals underground coal mines.","PeriodicalId":296445,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"149 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126922802","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The correlation between the two bit-level extrinsic information increased as the performance improved by the iterative decoding. In this way, the new method reflects a more reasonable solution for symbol-level decoding of duo-binary turbo codes. Simulation results showed that the proposal criterion was able to reduce the average iterative decoding number with a good error performance as compared to conventional criteria.","PeriodicalId":296445,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129227835","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
