In this study, four statistical fusion methods are presented for a mixture of Gaussians noise. These four methods are the minimum variance approach, the maximum kurtosis approach, the minimum kurtosis approach, and the minimum mean absolute error approach. Preliminary numerical simulations demonstrate that the maximum kurtosis method shows the worst fusion performance, while the rest three methods shows equivalent better fusion performance.","PeriodicalId":294566,"journal":{"name":"2009 IITA International Conference on Control, Automation and Systems Engineering (case 2009)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-07-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114617824","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A better removal performance in a SMBR could be achieved to treat food wastewater. The removal efficiencies in MBR were obtained worked with HRT at 10h, DO at 2.5mg/L and pH at 7.8, respectively. During the whole experimental period, the SMBR effluent COD and color varied in the range 35-50mg/L and 20-30 degrees, respectively. In this way, the effluent met the national first grade discharge standard steadily and avoided the nonsynchronous degradation of COD and color. The membrane fouling was investigated by analysis of the images and the SEM. The chemical cleaning of the membrane with a 5% solution of HCl can removal most of the fouling pollutants. When the membrane was regenerated with a 1% solution of NaOH, membrane fouling was diminished. After treatment with both two cleaning agents, the membrane maintained its flux within a range of 0.08 to 0.09 m3/ (m2/d).","PeriodicalId":294566,"journal":{"name":"2009 IITA International Conference on Control, Automation and Systems Engineering (case 2009)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-07-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127694079","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The new coder supports full scalability of spatial resolution, SNR quality and temporal in a flexible and simple method. Instead of common-used but complex MCTF-based scheme the new coder integrates smartly several optimized and improved technologies, i.e. so-called Hierarchical-B-Picture-Like, DWT, successive multi-level quantization, and SPIHT. The proposed coder can produce embedded bitstream satisfying various requirements of bandwidth, resolution and SNR of terminals over error-prone network. This paper presents the mathematical definition of cylindricity tolerance and mathematical model for cylindricity error evaluation. An intelligent evaluation method is provided for the evaluation of cylindricity error in this paper and the innovation can be stated as follows. Firstly, instead of considering partial components of the directional vector only, this algorithm proposed takes all the components of directional vector of the axis of cylinder into consideration. Secondly, for making the genetic algorithm converge fast, an improved genetic algorithm with uniform initial population was proposed to find the optimization of the error of cylindricity. The proposed algorithm is efficient and easy to code, and the experiment results indicate its effectiveness.","PeriodicalId":294566,"journal":{"name":"2009 IITA International Conference on Control, Automation and Systems Engineering (case 2009)","volume":"94 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-07-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133630694","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The wireless links in an ad hoc network are highly error prone and may go down frequently because of node mobility, interference, channel fading, and the lack of infrastructure, it is very difficult and challenging to implement voice transmission over multi-hop wireless networks. In this research, to maximize the performance of multi-hop wireless networks during voice transmission we choose some parameters and methodological approaches e.g. Since voice applications consume more energy than typical applications, we designed the ad hoc and adaptive control model to simulate our scheme.","PeriodicalId":294566,"journal":{"name":"2009 IITA International Conference on Control, Automation and Systems Engineering (case 2009)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-07-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131306039","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To eliminate the internal congestion within the switching fabric, by taking buffers into the internal links, this paper proposes an alternative Fully Buffered three-stage Clos switching fabric—FBC, which not only provides perfect throughput performance, but also exhibits better delay performance in heavy load by storing cells at the internal buffers. To employ an efficient and simple scheduling process, we provide a scheduling algorithm for FBC which is named Distributed Round-Robin Scheduling algorithm(DRRS). This algorithm takes advantages of high-efficiency of round-robin and is distributed in implementation, which makes the DRRS prone to implement in hardware. At last,the simulation results prove that DRRS is more effective.","PeriodicalId":294566,"journal":{"name":"2009 IITA International Conference on Control, Automation and Systems Engineering (case 2009)","volume":"171 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-07-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131908939","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
