It is well known that proverbs are mostly closely related to the external factors of human life. Paremias react realistically to phenomena, reflect an ethnic worldview, and express philosophical, aesthetic, and religiously pragmatic folk views. Purpose. The aim of the study is to determine the features of the expression of the oppositional concepts “baylyk-baylyk”, “kedeilik-yarlylyk” in Kazakh and Tatar paroemias. Materials and methods. In the research work, a detailed analysis of proverbs and sayings of the Kazakh and Tatar languages containing units of lexical and semantic groups “baylyk-baylyk”, “kedeilik-yarlylyk” was carried out. The following research methods are used in the work: conceptual, diachronic analyses, methods of comparative linguoculturological analysis. Results. The concepts “baylyk-baylyk”, “kedeilik-yarlylyk” in the Kazakh and Tatar paremiological system represent both universal and specific features of the linguistic world pictures of the two peoples through various ethnospecific images. As a result of the study, it was revealed that these concepts in the paremias serve as a reflection not only of the material situation, but also of the spiritual state of a person. A brief dialogue with the use of paremias is instructive in nature and often asserts the priority of moral values over material goods. {"title":"THE 14TH INFANTRY DIVISION OF THE SOUTH-EASTERN FRONT IN OCTOBER-DECEMBER 1919","authors":"S. V. Gnido","doi":"10.12731/2077-1770-2023-15-3-14-33","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.12731/2077-1770-2023-15-3-14-33","url":null,"abstract":"Purpose. The purpose of the article is to investigate the general nature and the main content of combat operations of the 14th Infantry Division, as well as the party-political work of its command to fulfill the combat tasks in the period from September 1919, when the division joined the newly formed Southeastern Front of the Red Army, and up to the forcing of the Don and the beginning of active combat operations on its right bank (December 1919). Method and methodology. The general methodological approach to the research is based on the basic principles and methods of scientific and historical cognition. The priority scientific methods in this study were the general scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, classification, analogy, as well as methods of historical analysis (descriptive, comparative-historical, logical, retrospective, method of frontal analysis of archival materials). Results. The results of the research showed that the 14th Division of the 9th Army of the Southeastern Front was able to recover from its almost complete defeat in early October 1919. It continued to fulfill the tasks on its section of the front. In the life of the division there was a place for party-political work. Going on the offensive to the Khoper River, the division with its actions restrained the enemy forces. Having accomplished the task, the division from the beginning of December went on the active offensive to the Don River. Having forded the Don River, the division continued the offensive on the right bank. Purpose. The article is devoted to the study of the implementation of the value aspect of the concept IDENTITY opposition in Russian linguistic culture. Materials and methods. The material for this study was the article of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin On the historical unity of Russians and Ukrainians. July, 12, 2021; interview with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation S.V. Lavrov; Internet publication of the Russian journalist I.A. Yakovenko Disintegration of the Russian Federation: Scenarios and Prospects; speeches of state and political figures of Russia in the television political show Evening with Vladimir Solovyov. When writing the article, the following methods were used: lexical-semantic, comparative-contrastive, discursive, contextual analysis. Results. In the course of the study the specifics of the differentiated objectification of the concept IDENTITY in the Russian language were analyzed; various theoretical approaches to the substantiation of the oppositional nature of the language implementation of the concept under study were systematized; the factual interdependence of the studied concept with the category “linguistic consciousness” was established; an integrative feature of the implementation of the concept IDENTITY in the Russian language space was revealed; the indicative characteristic of the concept IDENTITY in the composition of the subjects of the opposition CREATION ‒ DESTRUCTION was described. Practical implications. The topic of synonymy in the Even language has been insufficiently studied so far. The relevance of the study lies primarily in the fact that semantic synonyms have not yet received sufficient coverage in the Even language, while they play an important role in the development of the lexical system of the language. The purpose of the study is to identify the characteristics of the functioning of synonyms in the Even language, which is of value in typological comparative studies of both related and unrelated languages. The novelty is that for the first time in the Even language, semantic synonyms by shades of values are considered on the basis of analysis. Materials and methods. As a source of research, artistic and folklore works, the Even-Russian Dictionary by V.A. Robbek, M.E. Robbek. When studying semantic synonyms of the Even language, the methods of continuous sampling and linguistic analysis was used. Results. Based on the analysis of semantic synonyms in the Even language, it was revealed that they differ in shades of meaning and introduce an additional concept into the disclosure of the expressed reality, being stylistically neutral. Shades of meaning are expressed in the degree of manifestation of the feature, in the scope of the covered phenomena, actions, in abstractness and specificity, in additional meaning. Semantic synonymy is characteristic of parts of speech such as the noun, adjective, verb, adverb. Practical implications. Yakhina’s novel My Children. The question of the linguistic personality as an object of linguistics continues to remain one of the most pressing, since the linguistic personality in the conditions of intercultural communication, with a certain set of skills require a comprehensive and integrative approach. There is still no single concept of understanding the linguistic personality with theoretical and methodological positions. However, it is obvious that the variety of positions on this linguistic object allows one to refer to various kinds of material: in particular, modern Russian novel. The novel My Children represents relevant and valuable material for study if it is considered from the perspective of the anthropocentric paradigm of linguistics. This is due to the presence in the novel of a large number of linguistic personalities, interesting both in their verbal-semantic component, as well as in their cognitive and pragmatic ones. The relevance of the chosen topic is also motivated by the linguistic personality of the writer Guzel Yakhina herself, who is a bilingual philologist, which cannot but be reflected in the language of her works. In the article, a specific example of the description and analysis of a certain level of a character’s linguistic personality is presented. The material included over 1000 examples of various subsystems and different levels of linguistic units related to the characteristics of the phenomenon of linguistic personality. Considering various philosophical approaches that have determined the understanding of the logic of historical development, the authors analyze the cognitive potential of each of them and outline ways to form a unified methodological basis for an adequate and comprehensive study of the history of our country. Objective: to determine the role of the philosophy of history in historical knowledge and to identify conceptual approaches that can become the methodological basis for the formation of a new view of the history of Russia. Method and methodology of the work: dialectical, historical and comparative research methods were used. Results: During the analysis of the existing philosophical approaches, the most productive ones were identified, which can become the basis for forming a new methodological basis for studying the History of Russia. The paper presents the results of the analysis of The Guardian news articles devoted to Covid-19 pandemic in the period of 2020-2022. Materials and methods. The news articles of The Guardian newspaper devoted to coronavirus issues were selected as the research materials. The methods of semantic and discourse analysis, partial sampling, as well as descriptive method were used in the study. Results. The article provides a detailed semantic and discursive analysis of the lexical means used in the texts. The analysis results reveal the most typical lexical means, providing such features as informativeness and expressiveness. The article provides a detailed description of functioning of expressive means in the total number of 2658 units. Practical implications. The processes of neologization underlying the Spanish language policy are analyzed. It is shown how, in the conditions of the dominant role of the English language, the national languages of Spain resist external pressure in the form of Anglicisms. Purpose. The purpose of the study is a theoretical and practical study of the influence of factors of linguistic globalization on the official languages of Spain. Materials and methods. The texts of modern periodicals of Spain (El País, El Mundo, El ABC, LA Vanguardia) and the data of the explanatory dictionary of the Spanish Academy (Diccionario Real Academia Española) served as practical material for the study. To achieve the purpose of the study, the following methods were applied: analysis of scientific literature, continuous sampling method, method dictionary definitions, descriptive method. Results. As a result of the study, it was revealed that Spanish national languages, influenced by the factors of linguistic globalization and the English language dominating in the international arena, are changing the familiar picture of the world in all spheres of life of modern Spanish society. The analysis of the data obtained showed that the Spanish language policy is not effective enough in the context of the current processes of linguistic globalization. Despite the active resistance to foreign-language borrowings and neologisms of foreign origin, Spanish language policy institutes do not have time to develop appropriate traditional equivalents. Practical implications. Purpose. The identification and analysis of the means of creating the image of the «natural man» in the novel «The Life of Pi» by Y. Martel. The work uses such research methods as the analysis of theoretical literature on the problem of research, the method of continuous sampling, the method of linguostylistic analysis, corpus analysis of text, comparative-comparative analysis. Results: The results of the study showed that with the help of a set of explicit linguistic and stylistic means Y. Martel creates an image of a “natural man” who relies on human reason in everything and in a difficult situation is guided by common sense rather than emotions and feelings and proceeds to fulfil the primary tasks necessary for survival. Ensuring social sustainability requires effective interdisciplinary cooperation based on a modern evolutionary-synergetic picture of the world. Objective. To formulate the concept of social system sustainability within the framework of evolutionary-synergetic paradigm. Materials and Methods. The philosophical and methodological analysis of the works of foreign and domestic authors in the field of social philosophy, sociology and synergetics was carried out. Results. The notions of sustainability in synthetic evolution of G. Spencer are considered. The role of division of labor in ensuring the social sustainability from the position of the concept of social solidarity of E. Durkheim is revealed. The mechanism of ensuring the sustainability of civilizations in the theory of historical evolution A. Toynbee is described. The prevailing role of sociocultural metaevolution in increasing of adaptive sustainability of society is noted. The paper analyzes the principles of the antifragile strategy proposed by N.N. Taleb to increase sustainability in conditions of nonlinearity and uncertainty.The applicability of synergetic methodology to the study of the problem of social sustainability is substantiated. The role of personality in the formation of a sustainable social system in the synergetic concept of S.P. Kurdyumov and E.N. Knyazeva is established. Discussion. The problem of the balance between chaos and order in sustainable society, as well as the mechanisms of self-organization of the social system in the studies of the Russian school of synergetics is considered.
