The study was carried out to determine the challenges facing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in adopting effective financial accounting reporting in Nigeria and to ascertain the contribution of poor credit facilities to inadequate accounting records in SMEs in Nigeria. Survey methods and time series data were used, and data were collected with questionnaires and the CBN statistical bulletin. The generated data were analyzed with a simple percentage table. The study found that the challenges facing SMEs in the preparation and presentation of financial reports are inadequate accounting books and records, manpower, the accounting system, and not running their transactions through the banking system. The study recommends, among others, that since keeping proper books of account and preparing financial records can only be done by professional accountants, the two main bodies in Nigeria, ICAN and ANAN, should encourage their members to offer free professional service to SMEs in Nigeria.","PeriodicalId":286633,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Studies in Economics and Public Sector Management","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136231647","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Findings revealed that in the two periods, cereal production was mainly influenced positively by land under cereal production and agricultural raw materials import. Also, while arable land impacted positively on cereal production in the second period, both food importation and rural population growth adversely impacted on its production. The study therefore contends that for cereal production to improve in Nigeria, land under cereal cultivation should be improved. Furthermore, while there is need to encourage the importation of more agricultural inputs in the short-run, the long-run target should be geared towards sourcing the inputs locally. It is equally the view of the study that while it is pertinent to modernize agricultural practice so that the rural inhabitants can embrace farming, excessive cereal importation should be checked to encourage local production.","PeriodicalId":286633,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Studies in Economics and Public Sector Management","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136231652","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study accepted the cross-sectional survey design. The study population comprised of all senior staff selected from all twenty-two (22) banks in Rivers State, Nigeria; and the sample size of 120 senior staff were sampled using the Krejcie and Morgan sample determination table. Data collections were done using the structured closed-ended questionnaire based on the sample of the study and retrieved for analysis. Analysis of collected data were done using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and presented using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPPS) version 20. The findings show a significant relationship between the four dimensions of employee conflict management. (Conflict identification, regulatory control, conflict displacement and mediation) and two measures of criterion variable organisational productivity – profit and market patronage. Therefore, the study recommended that, management of the sector should ensure the application of the dimensions stated in this study as it enhances effective organisational productivity.","PeriodicalId":286633,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Studies in Economics and Public Sector Management","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136231045","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We have investigated the crucial role that institutional quality plays in diminishing the prevalence of undernourishment through financial inclusion in sub-Saharan Africa. With a time, scope of 18 years and a cross-sectional scope of 29 SSA nations, we used the system generalized Methods of Moments (system-GMM) in a panel data setting for our analysis. For the linear system-GMM, we discovered a strong positive self-replicating effect of prevalence of undernourishment, diverse effects of financial inclusion, and an unremarkable role of institutions. However, in the context of a nonlinear system-GMM method, the role of institutions strengthens the impact of financial inclusion. Therefore, we stressed the need for relevant authorities to develop informed policy alternatives that are based on instantaneous surveillance of changes in prevalence of undernourishment in the SSA region.","PeriodicalId":286633,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Studies in Economics and Public Sector Management","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136231646","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The capacity of a firm to innovate and bring about transformations will determine the degree to which the firm will enter the industry and the economy. However, evidence from literature has shown that DMBs' performance has been slow, due to inability to maintain competitive advantage, decline in productivity, low profitability, and reduced stakeholder satisfaction, which are suggestively due to insufficient s management innovation practices. Extant studies have attempted to elucidate on the challenges of DMBs and the attendant supposed solutions, conversely, most of the extant research focus on developed countries than developing countries, such as Nigeria. Hence, the study examined the effect of management innovation dimensions such as management structure, culture, and practices on performance of listed DMBs in Nigeria. Survey research design was adopted. The population was 403 directors and top-level management staff of listed DMBs in Nigeria. A sample size of 341 was determined using Cochran’s formula. Simple random sampling technique was adopted. A validated questionnaire was adopted for data collection. Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficients for the constructs ranged from 0.74 to 0.98. The response rate was 85%. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential (multiple) statistics. Findings revealed that management innovation dimensions had significant effect on performance of listed DMBs in Nigeria (Adj.R2 = 0. 812; F (4,335) = 366.910, p < 0.05). The objective of the study is to examine the dimensions of ecopreneurship, including eco-innovation, eco-production, green supply chain management, waste management, and eco-marketing, and their influence on organizational performance. The study also explores the moderating effects of environmental commitment and government regulations on this relationship. The study adopts a positivist research philosophy and employs a quantitative research approach. The study population consists of 438 employees from four paint manufacturing companies listed on the Nigerian Exchange, namely CAP Plc, Berger Paints Plc, Meyer Paint Plc, and Premier Paints Plc. Questionnaires were used as the primary data collection method, and a pilot study was conducted to validate the questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical methods, including multiple regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis. The findings of the study indicate that eco-marketing has a positive and significant effect on the organizational performance of quoted paint manufacturing companies in Nigeria (β = 0.466, t = 5.195, p < 0.05). Eco-innovation (β = 0.082, t = 0.748, p>0.05) and waste management (β = 0.057, t = 0.511, p>0.05) show positive but insignificant effects, while eco-production (β = -0.136, t = -1.093, p>0.05) and green supply chain management (β = -0.051, t = -0.447, p>0.05) exhibit negative but insignificant effects on organizational performance. The overall relationship between ecopreneurship dimensions and organizational performance is positive but relatively low, with the dimensions accounting for only 9.5% of the variations in organizational performance. An environmental commitment was found to moderate the relationship between ecopreneurship and organizational performance. In conclusion, the study highlights the importance of adopting ecopreneurial practices, particularly eco-marketing, to enhance the organizational performance of quoted paint manufacturing companies in Nigeria. It emphasizes the need for a strong commitment to environmental sustainability within organizations and suggests the integration of environmentally friendly production processes. Regulators and policymakers are encouraged to formulate and enforce policies that promote ecopreneurship practices in order to ensure environmental protection and enhance organisational performance.","PeriodicalId":286633,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Studies in Economics and Public Sector Management","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136231048","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
