The historical stages, mechanisms of development, special structural and organizational characteristics of the CSDP, and its tools for implementing the tasks that envisage involvement of the third of countries in the cooperation are considered. The experience of Ukraine’s involvement in EU peacekeeping operations as well as operation of EU civil missions in Ukraine is analyzed. Special attention is paid to the engagement of Ukraine in EU Security and Defense Policy after the conclusion of the Association Agreement in 2014. Enhanced cooperation in different forms after Russia launched its war on Ukraine in 2022 is the focus of attention, particularly the strengthening of political and economic sanctions imposed by the EU on Russia, provision of humanitarian and financial assistance to Ukraine, weapons exports, cybersecurity guarantees, and prospects for the introduction of a military mission. Certain benefits of such a cooperation for the EU and its CSDP are identified as well.","PeriodicalId":285421,"journal":{"name":"Language Culture Politics International Journal","volume":"35 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139245946","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the important tasks of ensuring environmental safety is to guarantee a population's livelihood in a technogenically safe and ecologically clean world. This is why concern about the state of the environment grows every year, and the need to integrate environmental policy with security measures remains a priority for world leaders. In the leading states of the world, such as the USA, Germany, Great Britain and France, environmental safety is considered as one of the main areas of environmental policy implementation. In particular,a \"Green Deal\" is currently being implemented in the European Union which will help the EU become the world's first climate-neutral continent by 2050. It is important that the Ukrainian state faces not the simple, but the obvious and important task of ensuring and restoring its environmental security. In order to transform environmental safety to high standards and become an example of a country that can rebuild its environmental sector in a post-war period, Ukraine needs to develop the following priority directions in the environmental sector: reforming state management in the field of environmental protection, compliance with climate policy, effective waste management, reasonable use of natural resources, and conservation of natural ecosystems and biodiversity. With the introduction of such reforms as part of a comprehensive climate policy, including ecological safety, reform of the regulation of industrial pollution, effective waste management, the rational use of natural resources, ecological management so as to preserve the landscape and biological diversity, effective state management in the field of environmental protection, environmental control and establishing legal responsibility thereof, and comprehensive environmental monitoring, Ukraine will be able to transform its environmental safety to high standards and become an example of a country that was able to rebuild its environmental sector in a post-war period.","PeriodicalId":285421,"journal":{"name":"Language Culture Politics International Journal","volume":"3 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139245417","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is especially felt in the conditions of war, as the enemy constantly changes the forms and methods of destructive influence, resorting to hybrid techniques. This is why media literacy needs to use new mechanisms for its improvement and dissemination. The ability to resist and oppose the information attacks of an enemy will depend on the consciousness and awareness of each individual and society as a whole. This article sheds light on this problem. It is also indicated that disinformation campaigns are becoming more and more widespread and pose a serious threat to critical infrastructure and democratic processes in the state. It is important to understand these tactics and methods are used by actors to spread misinformation and false narratives to manipulate audiences. By recognizing these strategies, individuals, organizations, and governments can take steps to mitigate the impact of disinformation campaigns. This is why increased public awareness can play a crucial role in combating misinformation and fostering a more informed and engaged society. The study of media literacy as a form of countering the disinformation of the Russian Federation in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war is especially important. The Russian Federation is waging a war against Ukraine on the basis of lies, provocations, and falsifications, and therefore informational aggression is perhaps the most important method of this war. The goal of Russia's large-scale information war against Ukraine is to restore its informational influence on the Ukrainian information space. It was for this purpose that the contained analysis of the state of media literacy in Ukraine in the conditions of the current full-scale war is carried out, strategies to overcome these negative trends are proposed, and Ukraine's current efforts to increase the level of media literacy of its population are characterized.","PeriodicalId":285421,"journal":{"name":"Language Culture Politics International Journal","volume":"45 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139245983","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But it is the shorter of the two, stretching a mere thirty-eight miles (62 kilometres) from the coast of the Dee Estuary to the environs of Old Oswestry, an Iron Age fortress in Shropshire, England. Although Wat's Dyke is now dated to the early ninth century (some decades later than Offa's Dyke), its name has remained obscure. A solution is yet possible. It can be related to the legendary Germanic hero Wade, who figures in Old and Middle English verse (including that of Chaucer), Old Norse, Middle High German, and even (as 'Wat') medieval Welsh. Wat's Dyke thus has unexpected links with poetry in Wales and beyond. There is another surprise: for Wade will be the mysterious warrior appearing on Maen Achwyfan, a tenth-century cross near Whitford, a Welsh village neighbouring the Dyke. The arguments for all this can be set out in four parts. We start with accounts of Wat's Dyke; move on to Chaucer and others on Wade; discuss the 'Wat' praised by Welsh bards; and end with Wade as the hero of both Maen Achwyfan and a lost monument to the west of it at Meliden (near Prestatyn) recorded by Edward Lhuyd (1660-1709), pioneer Oxford archaeologist. Plenty to say, then, on the past (Celtic, Anglo-Saxon, Scandinavian) of this region, where north-east Wales borders the English counties of Cheshire and Shropshire.","PeriodicalId":285421,"journal":{"name":"Language Culture Politics International Journal","volume":"73 4 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139245603","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Specifically, it looks how the person’s ability to build a family and fulfill their purpose can be enabled or inhibited by their government’s actions. The article proposes building a framework based on the Personalism found in John Paul II’s work Love and Responsibility, as the basis for an approach that governments can look towards in the effort to take citizen-based actions internationally and domestically. This will ensure the State’s people are respected and their dignity upheld. Without considering the person in these processes, it is possible to overlook them in politics, and so put them at risk for abuse.","PeriodicalId":285421,"journal":{"name":"Language Culture Politics International Journal","volume":"35 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139243579","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has been proven that due to their complexity, paradoxical nature, and the variability of language expressions metaphors are effectively used to deliver universal truth in poetic discourse, namely in bard song lyrics and singing poetry. The analysis is based on the material of Leonard Cohen’s posthumous album “Thanks for The Dance”. The well-known features of active metaphors such as clarity and communicative power are opposed to unique paradoxical and mirroring metaphors used by the author to impose multiple levels of metaphor recognition in poetics song discourses. The metaphorical coding of poetry is achieved through establishing an intercode agreement between the recipients and the poet.","PeriodicalId":285421,"journal":{"name":"Language Culture Politics International Journal","volume":"60 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139246199","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Harmonious functioning of the contemporary world depends, to much extent, on human coexistence and communication both on the micro and macro scale. In the case of the macro scale contacts, the English language has been sanctioned an international means of communication. The examination of the Internet resources with reference to higher education language programs of studies as well as programs offered by some language schools, shows that the teaching/learning process is mainly concentrated on developing students’ linguistic competence. The Polish reality of practical English application in a variety of situations shows that the language user’s knowledge, when limited to the linguistic sphere only, is not sufficient. Therefore, the aim of the present paper is to turn the reader’s attention to the need of verification of educational policy, adopted by many higher education institutions, and expand the offered programs of studies by courses directing the teaching/learning process at the functional approach. Hence, the suggested in the present discussion approach would rely on giving priority to the development of communicative competence, instead of linguistic. Therefore, in the course of the discussion there appears a suggestion of designing an optimal program of studies in the form of “trivium” based on three pillars: comparative studies, discourse analysis, and translation studies.","PeriodicalId":285421,"journal":{"name":"Language Culture Politics International Journal","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123942431","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
