ADASs work by judging the surrounding situation with the sensor data in a vehicle, but it will be possible to carry out autonomous navigation more easily by integrating the sensor data information through communication with other vehicles. To make this ultimate goal, previous routing protocols proposed for vehicle ad-hoc network can be applied to ADASs. However, the protocols are not only very diverse, but differ in their specialized strength part depending on the aim. It is inevitable to classify the pros and cons of the protocols to the aim in order to find suitable protocols for ADASs. In this paper, we analyze these various routing protocols, and examine appropriate protocols for ADAS services.","PeriodicalId":284480,"journal":{"name":"2017 Ninth International Conference on Ubiquitous and Future Networks (ICUFN)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127062512","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, Flying Ad hoc Networks (FANETs), ad-hoc networks for Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS), increase the coverage and ability to transmit/receive data in an extended range. For these reasons, a UAS promise new application areas for military and specific missions, such as search and rescue operations, target detection and attacks. However, due to three dimensional mobility with high speed and dynamic topology changes of UAVs in the air, a stable connection between UAV and Ground Control Station (GCS) for data exchange in ad-hoc mode is one of the biggest issues in FANET. The energy consumption is also an important issue, which ensures sufficient flight time of UAVs to perform assigned missions from a GCS. In this paper, we introduce the cluster head selection algorithms for FANET to achieve stable connection of UAS and reduction of energy consumption. Finally, the cluster head selection techniques which are suitable for mission-oriented FANET environments are discussed.","PeriodicalId":284480,"journal":{"name":"2017 Ninth International Conference on Ubiquitous and Future Networks (ICUFN)","volume":"54 24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129218186","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Especially, measurement-based spectrum database (MSD) can achieve highly efficient spectrum sharing by utilizing statistics of the received power transmitted from a primary user (PU). However, the accuracy of the statistics deteriorates when local bias of the observation point in the square mesh or short range power value variation due to the influence of terrain and buildings. In this paper, we propose a method to determine the subject area of statistics by using the mesh clustering. Simulation results show that the error between the measured value and the statistics which is got by the proposed method is smaller than the conventional method even if only a small amount of data is stored on the spectrum database.","PeriodicalId":284480,"journal":{"name":"2017 Ninth International Conference on Ubiquitous and Future Networks (ICUFN)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127335971","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For trust management, many P2P resource sharing services adopt feedback-based reputation system. Since peers in services have their social relationship in the community, reputation includes not only trust related to services but also subjective social trust which causes bias of reputation. In this paper, we propose the method that objectifies feedback-based trust by removing social trust from rating points. We conduct simulation and verify the proposed method can objectify feedback-based trust preciously with optimized parameters by using lambda square discrepancy measure.","PeriodicalId":284480,"journal":{"name":"2017 Ninth International Conference on Ubiquitous and Future Networks (ICUFN)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127549673","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed scheme first allocates transmit powers of transmitting nodes considering the interference constraint given by the primary system. Then, the best transmitting and receiving relay pair is selected based on max-max relay selection criterion. It is evaluated through simulations in terms of the average end-to-end rate, compared with the state-of-the art half-duplex relay selection scheme for CR networks. The results show that the proposed scheme can achieve almost the double rate by removing a half-duplex limitation. In addition, the effects of number of relays and buffer size are also provided.","PeriodicalId":284480,"journal":{"name":"2017 Ninth International Conference on Ubiquitous and Future Networks (ICUFN)","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124832120","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

NFV virtualizes the service and network functions operated on hardware in order to enable the quick building of services with low costs. Service chaining (SFC) aimed at particular network services has appeared with the advance in NFV, and this refers to the technology of successively abstracting service functions. The present study concerns the research of a dynamic service chaining plan that dynamically creates service chains through reinforcement learning by considering the nodes where service functions operate to enable efficient service chaining in an NFV environment and also by considering the consumption of resources like the CPU, memory, and network usage of service functions.","PeriodicalId":284480,"journal":{"name":"2017 Ninth International Conference on Ubiquitous and Future Networks (ICUFN)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125289252","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Spiking neural networks have a high computational power due to the implicit employment of various parameters such as input times and values in addition to neuron threshold, synaptic delays, and weights in their structures. On the other hand, smart environment techniques are emergent science in this decade. Intelligent systems represented by spiking neural network models and smart environments represented by sensors readings are utilized in this research for clustering users' activities during some period of time. A new learning algorithm for spiking neural network based on adaptation of the internal neuron threshold is proposed. Threshold adaptation is employed to help a spiking neuron to fire the lowest number of output spikes and to preserve all information of the input spike train on the same time. Simulations show that the clustering algorithm has encouraging results.","PeriodicalId":284480,"journal":{"name":"2017 Ninth International Conference on Ubiquitous and Future Networks (ICUFN)","volume":"116 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115344011","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
