This has had an impact on the way of understanding and transiting borders, in some conflictive cases they have put aside political differences, in order to have a better global competitive position, seeking new ways of dialogue, pacts and reopening, through development of connectivity projects that articulate the territory. Central America is no exception, where neighbors Nicaragua and Costa Rica plan independent transoceanic trade crossings just 50km from each other, with their border line in the middle of their proposals. This would double the services and cause a natural impact. Therefore, it is pertinent to propose a unified and collaborative project that achieves an articulation of the systems and breaks with the segregation generated by the border transnational cohesion from the infrastructural systems. \u0000  \u0000Keywords: Infrastructure, border, integration, canals. \u0000Topic: Analysis and territorial project.\u0000 Los avances tecnológicos, la inmediatez por la accesibilidad, la velocidad y la conectividad, han modificado la noción del tiempo y la manera en cómo percibimos el espacio. Esto ha repercutido en la manera de entender y transitar las fronteras, en algunos casos conflictivos han dejado de lado las diferencias políticas, con el fin de tener una mejor posición global competitiva, buscando nuevas vías de diálogo, pactos y reaperturas, por medio del desarrollo de proyectos de conectividad que articulan el territorio. Centroamérica no es la excepción, donde los vecinos Nicaragua y Costa Rica plantan pasos comerciales transoceánicos independientes a tan sólo 50km entre ellos, con su línea fronteriza en medio de sus propuestas. Esto duplicaría los servicios y provocaría un impacto natural. (1910-1940)","authors":"Valeria Gruschetsky, Ana Gómez Pintus","doi":"10.5821/siiu.10031","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5821/siiu.10031","url":null,"abstract":"In this work we propose to historically analyze the material and symbolic construction of the north bank in the suburban area of ​​the city of Buenos Aires (the coastal path that goes from the vicinity of the Nuñez neighborhood to the town of Tigre) from the spaces for circulation. The investigation will take as a starting point the paved road - or at least some of its sections - that linked the Capital with El Tigre-, inaugurated by the Governor of the Province of Buenos Aires, Mr. Ignacio Darío Irigoyen and Minister Etcheverry as part of the works that were carried out for the celebrations of the Centennial of the May Revolution in 1910. In this way, we are interested in accounting for the existence of a link between the city and the northern suburb that was defined during the first decades of the century XX. How did this waterfront take shape in relation to mobility practices? What type of activities characterized the localities that made it up? What kind of image was built on that territory? In the 1920s, a project arises to build a coastal avenue to join the Capital with the town of Tigre, considering the topography of the land, the link with the river and the popularity that it was acquiring as a relatively close place of relaxation and recreation. to the capital.Although this project did not materialize in a coastal avenue, we consider it a relevant element when thinking about the image built on the riverside towns of the north of Buenos Aires. Now, in terms of connectivity, the space for the “good circulation” of automobiles was made on a trace some 20/25 blocks away from the coast that was only consolidated between the decades of 1950-1960 with the construction of the North access, branch Tiger. This text finds itself on the premise that play allows players to understand and use an environment in new and unforeseen ways, assigning new meanings and interpretations to the city and said environment. Thus, this text supports itself on the study of games performed in public spaces, a hide-and-seek session and conversations held with Pokémon Go users. Taking these studies into account, unique and different kinds of living and experiencing a place during a play session can be identified. This new urban pattern segregates populations through enclosures, leads to the privatization of security and the transformation of public space. The proliferation of the city model of gated communities and shopping centers generates an urban disarticulation and shows an important planning issue. Therefore, guidelines and strategies for the urban articulation of the gated communities of a city part in Bogotá are proposed, which are based on a planimetrical analysis of the study area. Suba was chosen to carry out the study, because it is one of the localities with the largest agglomeration of gated communities in the city and, therefore, an ideal case study for this global urban phenomenon. \u0000Keywords: Gated communities, residential enclaves, urban patterns, urban tissue\u0000 Hoy en día más de un tercio de los hogares de Bogotá vive en conjuntos cerrados. Desde el año 2000, esta es la forma predominante de construcción de vivienda formal en la ciudad. Este nuevo patrón urbano segrega las poblaciones, privatiza la seguridad y transforma negativamente el espacio público. La proliferación del modelo de ciudad de conjuntos cerrados y centros comerciales genera, además, una desarticulación urbana que evidencia un creciente problema de planificación. En este estudio se proponen estrategias para enfrentar esta problemática, a partir de un análisis planimétrico de un área objeto de estudio en la ciudad de Bogotá. Thus, ecosystem services are essential but urban planning is not adequately evaluating this potential. The coexistence of planning and these considerations allows identifying the land that, having a greater ecosystem contribution, lack adequate protection by planning. This allow their anthropization and, therefore, making that territory and its inhabitants less resilient. The Community of Madrid is taken as a study case, obtaining a cartography that identifies and delimits the different ecosystems. This is possible thanks to the spatial integration of qualitative data on land cover and its environmental characteristics. With this study seeks its greater preservation, evaluating its state by analyzing the main pressures and links between its conditions, quality, and biodiversity, and how it affects the ability of the ecosystem to provide its services. \u0000Keywords: Resilience, ecosystem services, territory, ecosystem vulnerability\u0000 Diversos estudios recogen la necesidad de que la planificación territorial tenga como prioridad el bienestar y la salud de las personas. Para ello, los servicios ecosistémicos son indispensables pero la urbanística no está evaluando adecuadamente esta potencialidad. La convivencia del planeamiento y estas consideraciones permite identificar suelos que, teniendo un mayor aporte ecosistémico carezcan de una protección adecuada por el planeamiento, permitiendo su antropización y, por ende, haciendo menos resiliente ese territorio y a sus habitantes. This makes it possible to live in places far from the cities, where they lead a more peaceful, healthy and affordable life. It is here where the phenomenon of depopulation has an opportunity to reverse the demographic drain, with the promotion of innovations capable of forming an economic fabric strong enough to make life in the villages sustainable. This article analyzes the role of Public Management, as one of the innovation variables achieved in the research. The case study is Gordoncillo, where the Public Administration promoted a viticultural project for the recovery of the Prieto Picudo grape, an autochthonous species on the way to extinction. The methodology used is the analysis of Public Management as an innovative element, which will make up the new post-COVID rural map. \u0000Keywords: Peoples, post-pandemic, innovative management, sustainable development.\u0000 Como consecuencia de los cambios producidos por la actual pandemia, muchas de nuestras actividades cotidianas, migraron al sistema digital. The research studied two neighborhoods in Santiago de Chile, their heritage values, ​​and urban imaginations. The hypothesis was proposed that these express the tension between the tangible and the perception of the city at different scales and would be key to articulating architectural projects that solve problems in their communities. Some triggering questions were: What is the relationship between the real (tangible) and the imagined (perception)? What is the role of urban design for the construction of communities and places? \u0000A series of reading operations are proposed, which describe the mobile and static areas where conjectures and images rest on two neighborhoods to work with students: World Musicians - Chile Population, in San Joaquín, and San Eugenio in the Central Station district - Santiago. Se propuso la hipótesis de que éstos expresan la tensión entre lo tangible y la percepción de la ciudad a diferentes escalas, y serían claves para articular proyectos arquitectónicos que resuelvan problemas de sus comunidades. Here, the real estate logics proliferate and create a dual urban expansion: vertical/horizontal. That expansion contributes to increase spatial injustices, traffic congestion and individual travels. Transport Oriented Development (TOD) proposes some tools to plan both: land use and transport, although the urban policies are very complex. The work makes a diagnosis of the growth model in Santa Fe Area (Argentina) and its possible consequences in the use of private cars and the inefficiency of public transport. The objective of the presentation is to implement a quantitative evaluation by using STANDARD DOT v. 3.0, in order to offer alternatives for a sustainable development. Based on that methodology, the paper studies the area of an inactive railway station to analyse its strengths and weaknesses in the preliminary results of this presentation. \u0000  \u0000Keywords: urban development, public transport, spatial injustices, quantitative evaluation \u0000Topic: Spatial Justice and Territorial Planning\u0000 Las dinámicas capitalistas inciden peculiarmente en ciudades intermedias latinoamericanas. Aquí proliferan lógicas inmobiliarias tendientes a una expansión urbana dual: vertical/horizontal. Ésta contribuye a incrementar las injusticias espaciales, la congestión del tráfico y los desplazamientos individuales. El Desarrollo Orientado al Transporte (DOT) propone herramientas para planificar conjuntamente los usos del suelo y el transporte, aunque resultan políticas urbanas de compleja implementación. El trabajo realiza un diagnóstico del modelo de crecimiento en el Gran Santa Fe (Argentina) y sus posibles secuelas en el aumento del uso del automóvil particular y la ineficiencia del transporte público. El objetivo es implementar, en dicho caso de estudio, una evaluación cuantitativa mediante ESTANDAR DOT v. 3.0, a fin de ofrecer alternativas para un desarrollo sostenible. This research seeks to make clear that both, public space and urban mobility, cannot be confronted as two concepts, but rather, it suggests to face them as a new model to understand what happens between them when they coincide in a tempo-spatial point in the territory and follow the pattern of modal interchange making them potential elements of attraction, exchange, quality and transition around the public transport stations of the L1 of the Urban Electric Train in the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara, México. \u0000Keywords: public space, urban mobility, multimodal interface, stations.  \u0000Topic: Public space and urban project in the contemporary metropolis.\u0000 Recientemente se ha avivado y enriquecido el interés emergente en el estudio del espacio público y sus dimensiones urbanas asociadas a la movilidad; desde Jane Jacobs (1961), Jean Gehl (2010), Wojnarowska (2016), Duivenvoorden, Hartmann, Brinkhuijsen & Hesselmans, (2021) y otros, hasta los más recientes modelos de planificación como la “supermanzana” o la “calle completa” y el urbanismo táctico a manera de una guía intencionada sobre la planificación del espacio público en las ciudades. However, historically, favelas are represented as empty areas on official maps. On the one hand, this situation reinforces the persistent invisibility of these areas, on the other hand, it demonstrates the lack of information for interventions. The traditional topographic surveys in loco or even the surveys generated from aerophotogrammetric refunds are deficient for the representation of the morphological complexity of the favelas. This article aims to analyze the potential and limitations of images captured by drones in favelas for the production of project material for interventions aimed at improving the inhabited environment. Case studies of surveys carried out in the Jardim Colombo and Antonico favelas, both members of the Paraisópolis Complex, the most populous favela in São Paulo, will be analyzed. \u0000Keywords: Slum, Mapping, Segregation, Drone\u0000 Nos últimos trinta anos, as políticas públicas de São Paulo, a mais populosa cidade do Brasil, têm reconhecido as favelas como parte integrante da metrópole. Ainda assim, historicamente, as favelas são representadas como áreas vazias nos mapas oficiais. Por um lado, essa situação reforça a persistente invisibilidade dessas áreas, por outro, demonstra a carência de informações para intervenções. Os levantamentos topográficos tradicionais in loco ou até mesmo os levantamentos gerados a partir de restituições aerofotogramétricas são deficitários para a representação da complexidade morfológica das favelas. Este artigo pretende analisar as potencialidades e limitações das imagens captadas por drones em favelas para a produção de material de projeto de intervenções que tenham como objetivo a melhoria do ambiente habitado.
