Culture is shaped by the habit of the people that have the same principle which understand and interact to each other. Therefore, culture of a certain people will show as their identity. In the era of advance science and globalization, local culture may be neglected by people so that the tradition value starts fading. However, there will be certain people that preserve their local wisdom. One of these people is people in Buara Village, Ketangggungan, Brebes. They still practice a tradition which is inherited from the past generation in a wedding ceremony, namely Gogok War. Gogok war is a dance which is performed by two males in a wedding ceremony after the groom and bridesmaid say a promise that they will be together forever. The dance tries to tell people about bad and good behavior. This study belongs to qualitative research which aims to, 1) know the history of Gogok War in wedding ceremony of Buara village people in Ketanggungan, Brebes, 2) know the practice in a more detail process, 3) describe how people in Buara village preserve the Gogok War tradition. The result of the study is expected to increase the knowledge about culture diversity in Indonesia which is still practiced until now in Buara Village. The people of the village still practice the tradition of Gogok War as a way to preserve local culture in the era of globalization and still hold the belief of the tradition from the past generation. This classroom action research was done based on stages developed by Kemmis and Taggart. The design is classified into four stages namely planning, action, observation and reflexion. The subjects of the research are students of X MIPA2 SMA N 1 Kalibawang totally 30 students. This research was conducted in two cycles in which each cycle has two meeting. The object of this research is the ability to read and write the biography text. The collecting data uses assessment manual, test of learning outcome, field note and document of activities. Technique of data analysis was done by qualitative descriptive and the result of the score was analyzed quantitatively. The result of the research shows that there is an improvement in the learning process of reading biography text. It is shown by the improvement of the student’s activity, enthusiasm and selfconfidence during the learning process. The improvement also occurs in the outcome of the learning outcome of reading biography text from cycle I to cycle II. The learning outcome of reading biography texts of cycle I ia 67% and in cycle II is becomes 83%. Data collection by literature observation. Data analysis with qualitative descriptive method. Research results as. First, the competencies tested in PISA are Mathematics, reading, and science for 15-years students, the program done by the OECD every 3 years, started from 2000’s until 2015. Second, the average score results of student reading competency in Indonesia during 2000 until 2015 generally has decrease and make Indonesia ranked on 60th out of 72 countries. Third, the impact of PISA on the development of reading learning in Indonesia is the large number of researches about the reading learning development in Indonesia i.e. PERMENDIKBUD Nomor 23 Tahun 2015 about Penumbuhan Budi Pekerti which obligate students to read some books for 15 minutes before the class begins. Data in this paper are reduplication of Indonesian and Asli Rawa language. Indonesian reduplication data was obtained from Gadis Pantai novel by Pramoedya Ananta Toer, while the Asli Rawa reduplication data was obtained from five native speakers of Asli Rawa language who had fulfilled the requirements as informants. Data was collected by using techniques of tract, interview, heeding, recording and taking note. Based on the research that has been carried out, 1026 Indonesian reduplication data, with 677 full reduplication, 217 partial reduplication, 107 of reduplication which was combined by placing affix, and 25 of reduplication with change of phoneme. Whereas in the Asli Rawa language found 130 reduplication, with 57 full reduplication, 57 partial reduplication, 10 of reduplication which was combined by placing affix, and 5 of reduplication with change of phoneme. The research results show that between Indonesian and Asli Rawa languages both have four reduplications. But, Asli Rawa language had syllable repetition (partial repetition) in complex words form, whereas in Indonesian, it had partial repetition which just repeat the syllable in complex word form that was not found. The research method is quantitative by using simple regression as data analyze and testing hypothesis of research. This research conducted at SMAN 1 Kabila, Kabila district, Bone Bolango regency, Gorontalo Province since May until June academic years 2014/2015. The population of this research is all of students at first grade in SMA Negeri 1 Kabila. Therefore, the sample is taken by random sampling. So, obtained 51 students as sample in this research. Technique of collecting data is questionnaire and test. The hypothesis is tasted by data analyze simple regression. The result of this research is taccount = 2,69 > ttable = 1,23, in significance 5%, thus H0 rejected and Ha accepted. It means there is influence of examples non examples method toward students’ writing competence in descriptive text. This study used a qualitative descriptive technique using the method analysis semiotic of John Fiske’s and postcolonial Edward Said. The results of this study indicate that the symbols in the advertisement have an implicit meaning about the existence of power relations in Orientalism Edward Said, namely: political power in the form of mental occupation, intellectual power which considers eastern people less intellectual and civilized, cultural power in the form of cultural imitation in appearance and lifestyle, as well as moral power that the characters who symbolize the West have the right to determine what is good and not good for the East to do.This constructs the dominance of the western nation over the eastern nation which led to the concept of hegemony, namely the concept of thinking which assumes that the western nation is better than the eastern nation. This research is a classroom action research. The subjects of this study were VIIIB class students, totaling 32 students. Data collection is done through observation, testing, and documentation techniques. The instruments used in this study are observation sheets and writing performance tests. This study shows that the process approach can improve persuasive text writing skills of class VIII students of MTs Negeri 7 Bantul. The increase is known based on the results of observations and the value of student test results. The observation results showed an increase, namely in the first cycle of indicators that were implemented 12 of the 20 indicators were assessed (sufficient), then in the second cycle increased to 15 indicators from the 20 indicators assessed (Good). Based on the results of the student writing skills test, the percentage of pre-action was 60.96%, increased in the first cycle to 77%, and in the second cycle increased to 79.78%, which means that individual and classical completeness of students has been achieved. The main source of the data in this research was taken from the dialogue in the movie. The data from this research was swearing words from the movie. The method used in this research was simak bebas libat cakap method. The Instrument used in this research was human instrument. The data from this research was analyzed by using padan referential (referential equivalent) method and pragmatics. The result from this research was the form and function of swearing words in Yowis Ben movie.
