The problem observed in this study was the concept of performing treatment mantras of Padang Sawah village in Kampar Riau. This study used theopoetic theory with qualitative descriptive research methods. Data collection was done by doing observation, interview, and literalry technique. Findings of this research showed that, in Malay society, the mantra of treatment was closely related to their perception of meanings of diseases. According to them, diseases were not only caused by real factors, but sometimes also caused by factors or things that were not real or unseen. In this context, the mantras were used to break the connection between diseases and supernatural powers, which caused the diseases. Moreover, the treatment process of this kind of mantras contained the values of local wisdom. These values were religious values, health values, social solidarity values and welfare values. The study was conducted on VII grade students at SMP Negeri 11 Kota Tasikmalaya in 2015/2016 academic year. The result of this study shows that gallery walk learning model can improve the quality of learning to rewrite the fairy tales that have been read. In the first cycle, the percentage of the student learning process reaches 28% of active students, 42% of students with significant efforts, and only 15% of students who working together. In addition, judging from the percentage of learning outcomes, 81% of students have not been able to achieve the Minimum Completeness Criteria/ Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) of 75, and 19% of students have been able to achieve KKM. In the second cycle, there is a significant escalation of learning process and students' learning outcomes. The students' learning outcomes on this learning cycle reach 48% of active students, 42% of students with significant efforts, and 36% of students who working together. While the percentage of learning outcomes has reached 100% of the specified KKM. This research is a development which refers to the steps of the methods Research and Development (R & D). The products developed are learning Indonesian media exposition text material in the form of interactive CD. Media that was developed in the validation by expert lecturers as media expert, material expert field of Indonesian and Indonesian language teacher as a user. Subject trials are students of class X SMK Negeri 1 Bantul, Yogyakarta. Subject selection is done by random testing of 12 students at 18 students' products and user trials. Data were obtained through a questionnaire to assess learning media developed in terms of quality and objectives, instructional quality and technical quality. Data analysis is done qualitatively and quantitatively for media evaluation purposes. In the validation phase, instructional media developed sedah declared worth ujicobakan with some revisions. In product testing, instructional media are included in the criteria developed well with an average score of 4.10. the use of the pilot phase, learning nedia included in the criteria developed very well with an average score of 4.23. But in fact, the students have not fully mastered this skill. Based on this problem, the Blogger was chosen as the media in the learning of writing, especially persuasive writing. This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of Blogger as an alternative in the learning of persuasive writing for grade X students of Senior High School. The research subject was grade X students of Senior High School 8 Semarang. This quantitative method with true experimental design taught the persuasive learning through Blogger as the media to the experiment group by taking the result of learning using posttest. In other words, the researcher used Posttest-Only Control Design. The data collection techniques used were test and non-test techniques. The instrument used in this research was in the form of exercise completed by the assessment criterion. The results of the data were in the form of score of the persuasive writing skills of the experiment group and control group. The hypothesis test was using T test. The findings showed that Blogger was an effective media in the learning of persuasive writing. The Corat-Coret di Toilet short story by Eka Kurniawan was analyzed using the Fairclough model critical discourse reading analysis. It aims to know the social criticism were constructive, interdiscursivity, and to find out the ideology behind the short story Corat-Coret di Toilet by Eka Kurniawan. The results of critical discourse analysis reading in Corat-Coret di Toilet story by Eka Kurniawan found that the author wanted to convey three things. First, in the short story, Corat-Coret di Toilet by Eka Kurniawan work on social criticism was constructed in the form of resistance to the government which showed through the characters in the story. Second, the construction of social criticism in the short story of Corat-Coret di Toilet by Eka Kurniawan refers to the proverb that there is no rattan, even if it has the meaning if the good does not exist, then even the poor can be used. Third, short story of Corat-Coret di Toilet by Eka Kurniawan was born from a historical trail in 1999 revealing a democratic and anti-establishment ideology that seemed to represent the author's choice of attitude.
