It helps in identifying chromosomal aneuploidies, mosaicism, and euploid embryos.Aim: To assess chromosomal aneuploidy through PGT-A in IVF embryos. Methods: A retrospective study was done from January 2021 to June 2022. 55 blastocysts were assessed for PGT-A through Comparative Genomic Hybridisation (CGH). Results: Among the 55 blastocysts included in the study, 19 embryos showed euploidy and 7 embryos showed multiple aneuploidies. Autosomes were normal but sex chromosomes were abnormal in 3 embryos. Multiple mosaic gain/ loss was reported in 4 embryos. Sex chromosomes abnormality was seen in 8 embryos. Conclusion: 19 embryos showed euploidy. More than half of the embryos showed aneuploidy. Mosaicism seems to be a more common phenomenon in IVF embryos as compared to other kinds of aneuploidy like syndromes, triploidy, monosomy, and other genetic abnormalities. Sex chromosome abnormality was reported in 8 embryos. How to cite this article:Krishna GS, Gupta SK. Assessment of Chromosomal Aneuploidy in PGT-A Embryos. It requires great teamwork from every player. A fast bowler has an important role in the team. The bowling of fast bowlers involves complex actions of the upper limbs, lower limbs, and trunk, due to which they are more prone to injuries. Patellar tendinopathy is a condition characterised by anterior knee pain localised to the inferior pole of the patella. Fast bowling requires a bounce or jump in bowling action which enables the bowler to switch from the run-up phase to the position of back-foot contact. Repetitive high bounce can lead to increasing loading activity and hence can cause damage to the patellar tendon, thereby affecting the performance of the bowler. Therefore, it is necessary to rule out the prevalence of patellar tendinopathy in recreational fast bowlers.Methodology: The study group consisted of 92 male recreational fast bowlers belonging to the age group of 15-30 years. The VISA-P questionnaire was employed as a measurement instrument for the intensity of pain. The questionnaire was given to each subject. They were further assessed based on their score.Results: The statistical research revealed a highly significant correlation between patellar tendinopathy and recreational fast bowling with p value < 0.0001. A significant relationship between age and patellar tendon pain was also found.Conclusion: The research revealed that patellar tendinopathy has a considerable prevalence among recreational fast bowlers. Such a degenerative condition in this joint is called osteoarthritis of the knee. The studies suggest that traction assists in circulation and also helps in decreasing the concentration of noxious irritants. Thus, in this study, dynamic traction has been used and its effects have been studied. Method: The study was conducted on 96 people who were having osteoarthritis of the knee within the grade range of 1 and 2. The participants were given patient consent forms before beginning the study. They were divided into two different groups of the same size, i.e. Group A and Group B. Pre and post-examinations were conducted for both groups. Results: On the basis of the statistical analysis, the outcome indicated that the experimental group in which dynamic traction was used achieved better results in their condition than the other group. Conclusion: The study guides us to the conclusion that the use of dynamic traction is beneficial and more effective in the condition of knee osteoarthritis as compared to conventional methods. The association of SH with insulin resistance and altered glycemic status has been reported in past studies. We have aimed to look for the relationship of subclinical hypothyroidism with HbA1c levels, among non-diabetic individuals.Aim & Objectives: To compare the HbA1c levels among non-diabetic participants with subclinical hypothyroidism (SH), and healthy controls having normal thyroid functionMaterials & Methods: It is an analytical cross-sectional study carried out among 33 non-diabetic individuals with subclinical hypothyroidism and 36 euthyroid people. Mean serum HbA1c, TSH and other thyroid parameters were compared among the 2 groups, using independent “t” test. Spearman’s correlations were done, along with the odds ratio for the risk of association of HbA1c levels with subclinical hypothyroidism. Results: Serum HbA1c levels were significantly enhanced in the SH group (4.91 ± 0.88 %) compared to healthy controls (4.39 ± 0.89 %, p = 0.018). A significant positive correlation was found to exist between TSH and HbA1c levels (p = 0.002).Conclusion: Serum HbA1c levels were increased in non-diabetic individuals with subclinical hypothyroidism. This should be taken into consideration while analysing the HbA1c values in the diagnosis of diabetes/ prediabetes. How to cite this article:Ponnudhali D, Preetha S, Nirmal Sujitha IJ. Globally, the issue is wreaking havoc on numerous low- and middle-income nations. The rate of rapid increase in the prevalence is a factor to be pondered on. There were about 40 million overweight children among primary school-age children globally in 2022, as per the estimated records. Methodology: A cross-sectional analysis was carried out in selected private schools in the Secunderabad region from July to October 2022. The study included 300 school-age children between the ages of 9 and 12 years and the prevalence of obesity was calculated using the body mass index (BMI). Results: The maximum number of study participants (120, 40%) belonged to the overweight category, followed by obesity (95, 31.66%) and normal health status (85, 28.34%). Conclusions: As per the study findings, it is recommended that continuous follow-up healthcare programmes with a focus on physical activities should be conducted. Healthy dietary patterns and regular intake of healthy balanced food serve as a basis for a healthy life and thereby help in reducing the risk of developing obesity at a very early age.","PeriodicalId":276735,"journal":{"name":"Chettinad Health City Medical Journal","volume":"211 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136366386","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
