From the investigation, we learn what the users regard android mobile as, and understand that the user care only about the functionality to do their work rather than the characteristics of the android. We advance some principles which were based on the discussion to help designer to do user-centered interaction design, and will lead to the user-centered, reassuring, comfortable and consumer-satisfied human-machine interface. Combining with traditional interaction design and the characteristics of interactive manner, the paper put forward some Prediction Technology, by which can be used to design a user-centered system.","PeriodicalId":275003,"journal":{"name":"2014 9th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131258952","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The robotic team comprises multiple heterogeneous robots each with a unique set of capabilities. The developed multi-robot system (MRS) is autonomous and fully distributed. The task allocation algorithm allows for concurrent execution of multiple tasks in the system. Tasks in the developed MRS are heterogeneous objects that are randomly introduced to the system. The transportation of an object may only need a single robot or may require multiple cooperative robots. Essentially the developed MRS runs in an unknown, unstructured and dynamic environment. An experimental implementation and test results are used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed MRS.","PeriodicalId":275003,"journal":{"name":"2014 9th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115111403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, Japan's long history of mono-cultural society causes difficulties for its young people in learning about cultural diversity. In order to support students' learning, the researchers developed an original e-learning programme for intercultural training. It aimed to function as an effective tool for promoting students' awareness of different cultures. From 2012 to 2014, the programme was implemented, in a blended learning style, with Japanese university students. To clarify the advantages and disadvantages of the programme, the researchers distributed a questionnaire to the participants. The findings in 2012 and 2013 showed that the programme was effective for improving students' intercultural awareness and understanding, while it also suggested that teachers need to motivate students' online learning more.","PeriodicalId":275003,"journal":{"name":"2014 9th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116949043","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many Web-based news reading services, like Google News and Yahoo! News, have become increasingly prevalent as they help users find interesting articles from news providers that match the users' preference. However, few research efforts have been reported on campus news recommendation. Different from news articles, news from vertical systems is often short with limited topic scope, targeting at specific audience. To address the aforementioned characteristics, in the paper, we develop a hybrid recommendation system for campus news by integrating different recommendation algorithms using linear combination. Offline and online experiments are conducted to evaluate the system effectiveness.","PeriodicalId":275003,"journal":{"name":"2014 9th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"82 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116964586","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

STEM education is an important initiative to encourage young students to develop the skills they require to succeed in these positions. The First Lego League sponsors annual tournaments in which students must build and program a robot to accomplish various tasks in order to score points. Previously, the students had not used any process or documentation when developing the programs to run on the robot. This competition provides an opportunity to instruct the students in the benefits of using a formalized process that is essential in many software engineering projects commonly encountered in industry.","PeriodicalId":275003,"journal":{"name":"2014 9th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117327832","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The encouragement for implementing environmental education is emergent. The environmental education and information education is an important job, and their combination will be the trends in the future. However, achieving this goal is not a simple task since the ultimate objective is responsible sustainable behavior. An e-learning through gamification could be an approach to promote the sustainability literacy. In this study, a causal model is proposed by combining motivation theory, flow theory and cognitive load theory, is empirically evaluated to investigate how learner characteristics (skill, challenge, incentives, and cognitive load) and attitudes (playfulness) influence learning outcome by playing a serious game. A real-time strategy game with learning of environmental education was developed in this work.","PeriodicalId":275003,"journal":{"name":"2014 9th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"83 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127224676","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
