Academia and industry have carried out extensive research aiming at the key theories and technologies of IoT. How to estimate the QoS of applications of IoT is an important problem in IoT research. To address this problem, this paper presents an IoT QoS estimate approach based on multi-dimension QoS which introduces multi-dimension QoS to estimate the QoS of applications of IoT. MapReduce is a programming model for processing mass data and suitable for parallel computing of big data. Therefore, this paper proposed an improved algorithm based on MapReduce and optimal search of medoids to cluster big data. Firstly, according to the basic properties of triangular geometry, this paper reduced calculation of distances among data elements to help search medoids quickly and reduce the calculation complexity of k-medoids. Secondly, according to the working principle of MapReduce, Map function is responsible for calculating the distances between each data element and medoids, and assigns data elements to their clusters; Reduce function will check for the results from Map function, search new medoids by the optimal search strategy of medoids again, and return new results to Map function in the next MapReduce process. The experiment results showed that our algorithm in this paper has high efficiency and good effectiveness.","PeriodicalId":275003,"journal":{"name":"2014 9th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121570632","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At the same time, the digital museum is facing many challenges. Based on the analysis of actual problems of several digital museums, three kinds of problems were proposed. Firstly, the information of the displaying is not expressed fully enough and could not meet the requirements of the audience. Secondly, the characteristics of the exhibitions can not be represented particularly or are even of absence. Thirdly, displaying contents and displaying fashions are often inactive and dull. According to the research of psychology of audience, four kinds of communicative strategies, that is, integration strategy, contrast strategy, interesting strategy, and interactive strategy are proposed, and the relevant approaches to achieve these strategies are presented in this paper.","PeriodicalId":275003,"journal":{"name":"2014 9th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121068112","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many 3D search engines are based on tag matching, which is usually more accurate in identifying relevant models by alleviating the challenge arising from the semantic gap. However, the performance of tag matching is highly dependent on the availability and quality of 3D model tags. Recent studies have shown that tags that are specific to the visual content of 3D models are often noisy and unreliable in real-world environment, leading to a limited performance of autotagging. To address this challenge, we propose a 3D model autotagging method based on semi-supervised weighted metric learning. Extensive experiments show that the proposed method is significantly more effective than the state-of-the-art.","PeriodicalId":275003,"journal":{"name":"2014 9th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130339818","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study followed single-case design using ABAB models in which A indicated the baseline and B indicated the intervention, visual analysis, and effect size measurement. The participants were 2 children with articulation disorders, the experiment since July, 2013 comprised seven teaching units, 30 minutes per class, five days a week, plus another 10 minutes for the post-teaching assessment to collect participant data points. This study established auditory prompting assessments in three parts: phoneme segmentation, phoneme synthetic (blending), and tone awareness. Interventions I and II are training effectiveness evaluations via the e-talk pen in the phonological awareness program. The interventions produced an immediate effect on participants' phonological awareness. The experimental results demonstrated that in the case of two elementary children with articulation disorders, their scores were considerably increased during the intervention phrases. After Intervention II, the results are higher effectiveness than after Baseline II. All the effect sizes are large. The results revealed that the e-talk pen phonological awareness program was large effect for enhancing skills in phonological awareness.","PeriodicalId":275003,"journal":{"name":"2014 9th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114133735","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Efficient storage, retrieval and transmission methods are needed to fully exploit motion databases for reuse and for the synthesis of motions. In this paper, a compression method for 3D Human motion data is proposed. We represent and compress the motion data using the clustering method and primary component analysis. The compressed data is adapted to network transmission with shorter time in order to maximize the use of network bandwidth and computational performance of local machines. At the client, we decompress the motion chips and rebuild corresponding human motion. Experimental evaluation of the method showed that the proposed method has high compression rate and is effective.","PeriodicalId":275003,"journal":{"name":"2014 9th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"205 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114649482","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
