In view of the existing problems of traditional teaching methods in high vocational colleges, we propose a teaching method aimed at developing the computational thinking of students. This article analyses the courses of high vocational colleges and the characteristics of students firstly. Then we design the teaching activities based upon the principles and strategies of computational thinking. Finally we offer a real teaching case. The teaching evaluations from students indicate that the teaching method based on computational thinking is very effective.","PeriodicalId":275003,"journal":{"name":"2014 9th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128488113","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The elimination of different design alternatives in an early phase without the need for more detail is a common practice. The huge search space makes the identification of design concepts a tedious process. In this paper, a systematic methodology is presented to facilitate the relationship between the functional requirements and conceptual design solutions. Mechatronic design quotient (MDQ), which represents the “goodness” of a mechatronic design, is used to help facilitate the decision-making process of the conceptual solutions. A case study of the design of an electro-mechanical conveyor system is presented to illustrate the proposed methodology.","PeriodicalId":275003,"journal":{"name":"2014 9th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128872267","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Impedance control ensures enhanced transparency by appropriately controlling the dynamic behavior between motion and applied forces in the task space of the manipulators that execute the contact tasks. Performance of the system is improved by using online estimation of stiffness in the unknown environment with which the slave manipulator is in contact. A method of admittance control is implemented in a system of bilateral teleoperation in our laboratory. The effectiveness of the admittance control and its preference over other schemes in the context of homecare robotics are validated through experimentation, and results are presented.","PeriodicalId":275003,"journal":{"name":"2014 9th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"85 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128197694","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It solves the time delay issue present in the data collection process of a WSN, making the entire WSN synchronous and thus resulting in improved timing accuracy. This study applies the OFDM technology to the transmission in the physical layer of a WSN. Sequential matches of system operations are performed for various parts of the system through five synchronization modules in order to achieve input data compensation. This effectively corrects the carrier frequency deviations of the system and subsequently improves the anti-interference capability of the system. Finally, the algorithm is proved to be feasible by experiments on a test platform.","PeriodicalId":275003,"journal":{"name":"2014 9th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133155673","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It allows the job seekers to register their information, search employment opportunities and help them finding the jobs they are satisfied with. At the same time, a lot of employers have released employment information through the recruitment website, including the release date, the name of the company, the company size, the working location, the hiring, the salary range, especially the job responsibilities, the job requirements and so on. The information obtained from the recruitment website may be used to create several applications in various fields. However, due to the growing number of employment information posted every day, as well as the dynamicity of the recruitment website, the task of extracting relevant information from the recruitment webs has become difficult and time consuming. Faced with this scenario, this paper proposes E&VRobot, an intelligent crawler of education and vocation for recruitment web. Finally, it presents a preliminary evaluation of the proposed crawler.","PeriodicalId":275003,"journal":{"name":"2014 9th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"200 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133878732","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
