It is estimated that 6 million college students took at least one online course last year. Online learning in technical education is primarily delivered through pre-recorded videos. We will discuss a virtual learning system in the context of electronics engineering education. This learning system models the circuits as well as the instruments that are typically used in the labs to allow students to carry out the experiments in a virtual environment. We have extended the concept further to allow students to carry out the experiments on the web-browsers and devices of their choice. This project illustrates the strategies design of educational and scientific management able to change significantly the effectiveness of engineers' education. These strategies are designed from the implementation of modular and evolutionary computer systems in academic institution for teaching and learning effectiveness assessment systems. These systems, tools for decision support are exploited by experts in educational assessment to generate and make available digital databases on teaching practices and learner performances. These digital data are accumulated from quantitative 'measures' on teaching practices analyzed from video recordings of classes' sessions within academic institutions. The relevance of teaching practices is evaluated based on the quantified estimation of thirty-five educational concepts that are deeply related to educational phenomena emanating from inside classrooms and are the determinants of educational efficiency. Furthermore, educational analyzes are performed on the learning examinations according to taxonomies developed by research in science education. This technique enables one to create visual presentation of an object in good and simple analogy. For the first time, the paper model of kirigami was applied in the classroom teaching of silicon MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical systems) course. These MEMS structures are in reality made by complicated and high-cost silicon wafer fabrication processes named silicon micromachining, which consists the lithography, thin-film deposition and etching processes. In the class teaching, the precisely scaled analogy of silicon micro-mechanical structures is created using paper material to form the appropriate kirigami paper models. By applying the physics of scaling rules for different material properties, such as Young's modulus, density and strain limit, the properties of micro-mechanical structures supposedly made by silicon micromachining processes can be experimentally validated by the kirigami paper models. These are required to enable students to combine theoretical knowledge and practical skills. This paper presents course development and teaching experience based on the ARM® Cortex™-M0 DesignStart™ [1] micro-processor IP core and the Synopsys 90nm Educational Design Kit [EDK] [2], both available to the university community, to address these challenges. The reference design and laboratory projects are aimed at allowing students to perform complex, real-world IC designs in a university environment, giving students practical experience with a real digital IC design flow. As a result, there is a need for a design and development of learning content aimed, on one hand, at software and Web security concepts, models, methods, algorithms, schemes, technologies, techniques, and tools used to design, develop, deploy, and maintain highly secure software and Web systems. On the other hand, due to multiple reports by professional societies, agencies and consulting firms in information/data security, students should obtain deep knowledge and excellent hands-on technical skills for a reliable protection of real-world software, Web and computer information systems against advanced types of modern computer attacks (that are, sometime, called Attacks 2.0). The purpose of this paper is to present designed, developed and tested elements of “Software and Web Applications Security” undergraduate and graduate courses that are based on active hands-on teaching approach; it is focused on developed learning framework for each type of computer attack discussed.
