The problem is reduced to an antenna-to-antenna coupling problem by modeling the EMI source with a monopole antenna. The VHF high band blade antenna was chosen as the victim antenna. The effect of the main and tail rotors on the coupling is also considered and the rotor modulation effect on the coupling is analyzed. The investigation consisted of two stages; numerical analysis and scaled model measurements. The analysis and measurement results are compared for both maximum coupling and for different rotor positions. To compute the higher order terms of the scattered fields, the translation addition theorem for Mathieu functions is implemented to express the field scattered by one cylinder in terms of the elliptic coordinate system of the other cylinder to impose the boundary conditions. Scattered field coefficients of various orders are obtained and written in matrix form. The probe head consists of a loop antenna element doubly-loaded with electro-optic crystals. It optically realizes the operation of a conventional doubly-loaded loop probe and requires no metallic cables or hybrid junction. We examined the probe characteristics for magnetic field detection up to 10 GHz. We consider the case when such base stations are powered from the low-voltage network. Of special concern is the current that might be led through the cable metallic shields to other customers' premises in case of lightning stroke, which is a frequent cause of flashover of the high-voltage insulators and a subsequent phase to ground fault. This paper presents an analysis in the frequency domain of the lightning current distribution between the earth wires, grounding systems and power cable network, in case of lightning stroke at the tower. It outlines the procedure for analysis and control of EMC in the case when an electronic interlocking system will be introduced into an existing railway environment replacing an old mechanical or electromechanical system. Criteria will be presented for the performance of EMC analysis. The international automotive EMC standards, however, all specify specific \"standard\" lengths for test purposes. While using a standard harness length makes comparison of results easier to perform for different electronic-sub assemblies (ESA) for use on vehicles, does it affect the actual test performance? Presented here is the result of radiated emissions tests conducted to the European automotive EMC directive (95/54/EC) utilising five different \"standard\" length test harnesses and a wide-band noise source. The issue of finding a new EMI measurement detector, with proper weighting properties for the effect of disturbance on digital communication services, is the key issue in the evolution of present radiated emission standards in order to protect digital communication services. It has recently been shown that the RMS detector has a response that can be correlated to the interference impact on digital communication systems that do not use error-correcting codes or use block codes. In this paper, we show that this conclusion is also valid for systems using convolutional codes.
