To conduct this research, 90 respondents from 4 private universities of the Sylhet region of Bangladesh were surveyed conveniently through a structured questionnaire; then the responses were analyzed by conducting correlation and regression analysis using SPSS software to test the hypotheses. Correlation analysis reveals that the two dimensions of knowledge sharing i.e., knowledge donation, and knowledge collection has a significant and positive relationship with the innovative work behavior of faculty members, besides regression analysis shows that the two dimensions of knowledge sharing depicted in the model explain about 34 percent of innovative work behavior among the academics of private universities. It has also been found that knowledge collection (KC) has comparatively more influence on employee’s innovative work behavior (IWB) than knowledge donation (KD). Therefore, findings of this study have significant implications to the university authority to ensure sustainable competitive advantage over rivals through academics’ innovative work behavior by cultivating a knowledge sharing culture among their institutions.","PeriodicalId":272088,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Business and Management","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126097516","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Extrinsic motivation is a driver of work that comes from outside the worker in the form of a condition that requires carrying out work optimally. This study aims to analyze the influence of extrinsic motivation on nurse job satisfaction. This type of research is quantitative non-experimental with a descriptive approach (cross-sectional survey) and associative analysis. The study was conducted at RSU Royal Prima Marelan, in March 2022. The population in this study was all nurses with 151 nurses. The sampling technique used in this study was the Slovin Technique, with a confidence level of 95%, and an error rate of 5%, obtained with 109 respondents, plus 30 respondents as a validity test, then the overall population in this study was 139 respondents. Pearson Chi-Square's value of the Supervision variable (X1), Wages (X2), and Work Environment (X3) has a p-value smaller than the 95% signification number (α =0.05), while the Status variable (X4), has a p-value greater than the 95% signification number (α = 0.05). The results of the multivariate analysis, that from independent variables, namely Supervision (X1), Wages (X2), and Work Environment (X3), which are suspected to affect job satisfaction, the most influential is the wage variable with a p-value of 0.001 < 0.05. The OR value obtained is 6,233, meaning that high wages have a 6,233 times chance of affecting the level of job satisfaction of nurses at Royal Prima Marelan Hospital.","PeriodicalId":272088,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Business and Management","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130089551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, this study investigates how employee commitment could be improved through collective leadership. Extant literature that supported this were reviewed and found that collective leadership has played a significant role in organizational performance especially as it improves employee work behaviour. Although, there is less research studies that examine collective leadership and employee commitment in literature. However, this paper made attempt to bridge this gap in literature by adopting two dimensions of collective leadership with respect to two measures of employee commitment. The study also examines Leader–Member Exchange theory and Social Identity Theory that support the concepts. After critical review of past literature, the study conclude that collective leadership can improve employee commitment only when leaders ensure effective communication, build Leader-Team Exchange and engage in network development that will facilitate the awareness of expertise and distribution of roles within the company. Considering the above, the study recommended that management ought to adopt the concept of collective leadership by ensuring effective communication flow vertically and horizontally. They should develop Leader-Team Exchange and build both the team's network as well as the leader’s individual network to improve employee commitment.","PeriodicalId":272088,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Business and Management","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130701792","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The role of a coach is selecting players that are formed subjectively without regard to various criteria. Her decision can impact team performance. Thus, this paper presents a new methodology to assess and rank football team based on multi-criteria decision making (MCDM). The aim is to select the best team for each football game by taking several criteria into account. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is used to determine the weightings for evaluation criteria among decision makers and Case-based reasoning systems to selecting the best team. Many countries try to target inflation to reduce the erosion of savings for citizens, so many researchers have focused on this topic. The current study attempts to determine whether the news or an unexpected change in the consumer prices index basket affects the volatility of the prices asymmetrically. The result shows that four of twelve sectors are not affected by the news, either because they have a constant variance or because of the not significance of EGARCH. The rest sectors show different responses to high price news and low-price news either by magnitude or signs. Generally, we can notice that high prices with significant negative shocks have a more massive effect on future fluctuation. The shocks that affect its future fluctuation are positive and negative for low prices.","PeriodicalId":272088,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Business and Management","volume":"104 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128032620","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
