It examines how financial access, financial depth, financial stability, and financial efficiency affect Nigeria's gross domestic product using annual series data from 1986 to 2021, and sourced from the Central Bank of Nigeria data bank. The descriptive, unit root, co-integration and Parsimonious error correction as well as the Granger Causality test were adopted at the 95% confidence level. From the analysis, all variables are integrated at order one; and presented of long-run cointegration. The Parsimonious error correction model confirmed that financial access and its depth are both positive and significant to gross domestic product, whereas financial stability and efficiency are both positive but insignificant to gross domestic product. The Granger causality test demonstrated a one-way movement from to gross domestic product to financial access, and a two-way causality between financial depth and gross domestic product only. In conclusion, the expansion of Nigeria's financial industry has a substantial impact on the growth of her economy. The study thus suggests that financial institutions should continue to allocate more funds to the private sector in the form of credit in order to stimulate more growth prospects in the economy. In addition, interest rates paid to depositors should be improved to attract more deposits; while simultaneously cutting back the rate charged on business loans and advances in order to encourage investors to borrow funds and invest in profitable ventures that will quicken growth.","PeriodicalId":272088,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Business and Management","volume":"85 1-2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116563152","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to investigate whether the digitization process can improve corporate competitiveness, this paper empirically examines the impact mechanism of digitization process on corporate competitiveness using a sample of A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2010 to 2021. The study finds that firms' digitization process can significantly enhance their competitiveness. This finding remains valid after controlling for endogeneity, dynamic effects, and sample selection bias. In terms of the impact mechanism, firm digitization process can promote their competitiveness through the channels of increasing the trade credit financing, improving the information disclosure quality, and reducing the firm default risk.","PeriodicalId":272088,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Business and Management","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126784620","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper takes into account the importance of globalization as a determining factor for national, private and public savings. The Ordinary Least Square method is used for empirical analysis. The analysis is performed in two stages. In the first phase, descriptive statistics and correlation matrix are described. In the second phase, multivariate analysis explains that globalization determines Pakistan's saving behavior. The study concludes that the consumer price index, the real interest rate and workers' remittances have a positive and significant influence on savings. The government deficit has a marginally significant impact on savings, while foreign direct investment has a negative but significant impact on national and private savings. Public savings are directly and insignificantly affected. Trade liberalization has a negligible and positive impact on national savings, but has a negligible negative impact on public and private savings. Given the role of globalization and the saving behavior in Pakistan, the government is suggested to provide a favorable environment and tax incentives to improve foreign direct investment. This will increase savings in the country. To this end, the country's industrial and agricultural sectors must be stable. Furthermore, it is necessary to create an investment friendly business environment in Pakistan.","PeriodicalId":272088,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Business and Management","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134311015","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The cross-sectional survey was employed, and the researcher used regression analysis, Spearman's rank-order correlation coefficient, and descriptive statistics for demographic data. According to the results, company size considerably modifies the association between vocational training and the productivity of family-owned SMEs in Rivers State, which shows a significant relationship between vocational training and productivity of family-owned SMEs. The study found that in order for SMEs to benefit from innovation and receive incentives for productivity and exports, strategic activities and public policies that support knowledge spillovers should be very transparent. The competitive potential of the business fabric may be eroded over time by suppressing self-selection mechanisms or closing the productivity gap between SMEs and larger companies due to open or triple-helix innovation actions and policies, for example, that do not take intellectual property protection for the most innovative and leading SMEs into consideration.","PeriodicalId":272088,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Business and Management","volume":"319 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131507604","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In a qualitative study design, thematic and theoretical research approaches were employed. This study lends credence to the premise that management theories are influenced by the current business environment since theories have evolved over time to meet changing internal and external requirements of firms. These approaches may keep moving because the contingency theory emphasizes that there is not a single best method of management. According to the study, management philosophy is advancing rather than stagnating. Once upon a time, people thought that they were the only beings in the universe capable of having a true experience of themselves, but they were unable to understand themselves in modern society. In this work, the researcher reviews every aspect of the B. F. Skinner Reinforcement Theory of Motivation. This study reviews Skinner's reinforcement theory and McClelland's acquired need theories on companies’ performance. Giving a front-line employee the freedom to make decisions right away while considering the effects on the organization is empowerment. Attracting and keeping customers in service firms is a difficult undertaking. Employees who are given psychological support will be better able to take the initiative to provide for customers. The goal of the current paper is to investigate how psychological empowerment is impacted by motivational needs. The independent variable is the requirement for motivation while, the dependent variable of psychological empowerment. Different variables were measured using standard tools, and their effects on psychological empowerment were investigated. The relevance and association are determined and assessed using a variety of inferential statistics. The key finding is that psychological empowerment is significantly and positively correlated with all motivating demands, excluding connection. Certain organization was used because its staff members are expected to exhibit a high level of demand for affiliation.","PeriodicalId":272088,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Business and Management","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132379324","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
