Management by objectives is a prominent management technique that cuts across or pervades all human activities, including business, education, government, health care, and non-profit organizations. It is not merely a managerial strategy for achieving well-coordinated managerial goals. Unfortunately, many firms have yet to use this strategy for gaining employee engagement and support. Subsequently, the objective of this research is to look into the connection between objective management and organizational production. More specifically, this paper intends to understand and describe the idea of management by objective (participation, goal setting and performance appraisal) and how it affects organizational productivity vis-à-vis market share and profitability. This study was conducted using the qualitative approach framework which include the review of related literatures in regards to the topic using journals, textbooks and other related document. From the discussion of findings, it was concluded that for any organizations to be productive and achieve sustained success, it must continuously encourage management by objective since it is very essential in attaining and sustaining organizational productivity. We recommended among others that managers should involve employees in setting and identifying short and long-term departmental goals.","PeriodicalId":272088,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Business and Management","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126073510","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The basic framework of this study, which was on motivation theory, was to analyse how social media and motivation can boost youth’s participation in entrepreneurship programmes. To draw deductions and conclusions therefore, the research relied on survey research design by using a questionnaire and in-depth oral interview to collect data. This study concluded that the motivation theory has a great role to play in encouraging the youth to embrace various entrepreneurship programmes that are being offered by individuals, government, and organisation. Among the recommendations made are, that private organisations, as well as individual entrepreneurs, should train and empower, at least, one trainee or more every year; that for long-term sustainability, the Delta state government should follow up the various trained entrepreneurs to ensure they are practising what they are trained for, and given starters-pack to commence, and that the Delta state government should also support the trainees by patronising their products.","PeriodicalId":272088,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Business and Management","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121050354","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cross sectional research design was adopted in studying twenty two (22) of these institutions. Our respondents were managerial employees constituting the population of the study. From the field survey, we retrieved and analysed seventy nine (79) copies of questionnaire from the participants; Kendall’s tau_b correlation coefficient statistical tool was used to determine the relationship existing between the variables while the p-value obtained were used to test hypotheses developed for the study, partial correlation was adopted for the multivariate level analysis to ascertain the moderating effect of organisational culture on the relationship between the predictor and criterion variables. Findings revealed the existence of significant relationship between the dimensions of corporate governance namely; board ability and board reputation and the measures of organisational performance given as employee retention and customer retention and that organisational culture significantly moderates the relationship between the variables. It was then concluded that ability and reputation of board members of any given business organisation in our case – commercial banks greatly influence the performance of these institutions. This gave rise to our recommendations for the banks and other business organisations operating in this era of heightened competitiveness; that they should look critically into the ability and reputation credentials to ensure the board can deliver to the organisations that which is expected to keep the firm in a strategic position before her rivals, keep her competitive and sustainable; as any organisation that cannot meet up to these demands will be found wanting and may go extinct in the nearest future.","PeriodicalId":272088,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Business and Management","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133576721","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, in recent years, some policies issued by the Chinese government have some complex impacts on the sustainability of basic pension insurance. It is urgent to sort out the impacts of these significant policies on China’s public pension insurance funds, which is conducive to summarizing some useful enlightenment from the existing literatures. It can provide the reference for the government to further reform the system and improve the sustainable operation of China’s public pension insurance.","PeriodicalId":272088,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Business and Management","volume":"163 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123507381","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Exporting has a positive impact on the trade balance of countries, especially in times of crisis, on the level of employment and on the improvement of the standard of living in general. The challenges faced by exporting companies and the actions they need to take in order to be more successful must be systematically addressed. The authors of this article have highlighted the key factors that can help companies to be more competitive and successful in exporting, based on theoretical approaches carried out in this field. The MICMAC method was used to identify the determining factors that can influence the performance of companies in exporting. The variables used in this research were identified based on the review of existing literature. 21 variables were collected and classified into 7themes. The results of the structural analysis were prioritized by performing a sensitivity analysis to prioritize the key factors. It was found that three factors condition the export performance of firms: strategic factors, management profile, commitment and international experience were found to be related to the export performance of the firm. The results of this research were used to develop recommendations for business leaders, practitioners and policy makers. The authors hope that this advice would help Tunisian firms' export performance in the future.","PeriodicalId":272088,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Research Journal of Business and Management","volume":"142 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121978523","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
