The IHRG was designed and implemented in our laboratory considering the fact that for any patient it will be more comfortable to make medical exercises in his own home. The proposed IHRG has a great advantage - the possibility to specify some vocal commands, which will help the patient to make a lot of medical exercises.","PeriodicalId":271843,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical and Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122446711","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Automatic assessment of fetus condition using abdominal signals (ADS) can be an important tool for clinicians, but, due to the high noise and considering the variation of the fECG morphology, its implementation is rather difficult. The current study proposes a wavelet approach for fECG analysis, which identifies its cyclic features.","PeriodicalId":271843,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical and Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"104 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122880185","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper we focus on the possibility of joining thatcapacity to Microsoft Kinect sensors ability to collect data without the need of additional sensorsand present an application capable of giving proper feedback about the player's behavior during a rehabilitation session. Using an Android OS mobile platform as interface for the collected data, the proposed solution is a prototype that aims to facilitate the analysis of the patient'sprogress during rehabilitation sessions using serious games. The project addresses to medical and engineering professionals, proposing formation of specialists that will systematically apply the principles of medical and bioengineering sciences in finding solutions that will lead in improving health conditions. The main outcome of the project was a Virtual Training & Communication Centre ORTHO-eMAN for innovative education - on-line educational and training material accessed via a standard web browser, which provides an integrated on-line learning environment. Magnetic forces can arise from the mutual interaction of two mass standards, as well as between a mass standard, the weighing instrument and other objects in the vicinity. The magnetic proprieties of the weights must be determined before the mass calibration to ensure that the magnetic interactions are negligible. The susceptometer method is used to detect the susceptibility and the permanent magnetization of weight pieces using a modified electronic microbalance with a permanent magnet on its pan. The paper refers to the influence of susceptometer in magnetic polarization of the weights.","PeriodicalId":271843,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical and Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"67 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114108716","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The dynamic of nonlinear processes can be easy controlled using FLCs. The paper presents a method to design the structure of a fuzzy logic controller (FLC) based on decision tables. To achieve the proposed FLC the mathematical models of the nonlinear processes are not necessary. All the FLC parameters can be on-line tuned. The performances of the proposed FLC are validated by experimental results on controlled processes with fast and slow dynamics.","PeriodicalId":271843,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical and Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123941675","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The optimal design of these motors aims at searching and choosing that machine which to the criterion minimum total cost and to certain restrictive correspond conditions imposed by the type of the drive. The paper presents several significant simulations which provide quantitative and qualitative information for the final constructive solution. The result of the optimal design was a decrease of the total cost with 15.3% and a decrease of the exploitation cost with 35.4%. Initial conditions assume that the machine is operating in no-load mode. In order to simplify the problem, the rotor speed is assumed to remain constantly at synchronous speed all over the time interval of interest. The analysis is based on the spatial phasor machine model and on the use of the Laplace transform. The short circuit state is thought to be produced by a superposition between regular and reversed supplies. Finally, the natural components and their characteristic parameters have been presented. Conclusions regarding the nature and the duration of the transient operation have been drawn.","PeriodicalId":271843,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical and Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117201045","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
