For the loop robustification and a noise attenuation the loop is augmented by n-th order filters used in the inner DO loop, as well as in the outer loop with the stabilizing P controller. Although the derived results may be used in a broad range of tasks originating in a control of plants with a dominant first order dynamics, for the sake of simplicity they focus on control of a single integrator.","PeriodicalId":271843,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical and Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129150678","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first part of the paper proposes a method to determine the time constant for the power line heating process. It is an essential measure for these protections. The cable lines are considered separately from the overhead lines. The protection characteristics offered by various numerical terminal providers are analyzed. Several configuration options are proposed depending on the specific situations. Examples are presented for cable lines and overhead lines.","PeriodicalId":271843,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical and Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115720011","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The authors present and analyze the successive stages of registration of data containing information on the signals in the power system, starting from their conversion into digital form, by gathering in memory of the DSP and sending them by using LVDS protocol to the FPGA, where they are cached in 4 B frames and then sent via SPI interface to the memory of GPP processor operating under the Linux system. In the next step, using the tools and drivers available in this environment, data is stored on the USB. This operation is critical in saving the data stream from the power system, affecting the speed limit of data recording. The limitations of this operation are caused mainly due to the properties of the Linux system.","PeriodicalId":271843,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical and Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121088810","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this light, this paper presents the authors contributions in terms of improving the filter performances through the attenuation increase at high frequency considering also the parasitic effects minimization. Thus, in order to increase the attenuation at high frequency the use of nickel platting method on the copper conductors is proposed, method which will be tested on a low-pass filter constructed in planar electromagnetic technology.","PeriodicalId":271843,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical and Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126082024","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Starting from the precise mathematical expressions for stator and rotor currents in the short circuit transient, the expressions of the electromagnetic torque have been established. Two damping components with the same low time constant have been highlighted: a sinusoidal one and a constant one. Due to the complicated form of the final expressions, simplified formulas for parameter expressions have been deduced in order to calculate the maximum torque value. Conclusions regarding the nature and the duration of the transient electromagnetic torque have been drawn.","PeriodicalId":271843,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical and Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126618512","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, the R-R intervals behaviour is estimated using linear and non-linear prediction techniques. The value of each sample point is predicted using a certain number of previous samples and the prediction error is computed. The wavelet transform provides multi-resolution analysis and allows accurate time-frequency localization of different signal properties. This paper presents a nonlinear prediction method from a first order discrete wavelet transform, implemented on artificial neural network based learning structure, compared with an ARMA model based prediction method.
