Mastering English doesn't just mean getting information from all over the world; it also means communicating and expressing yourself with people from different cultural backgrounds. So far, EFL has received much attention in many counties. As an indispensable part of language acquisition, pronunciation learning should be valued at the beginning of foreign language study, for example, the kindergarten stage. This paper aims to illustrate the negative transfer of the mother tongue on English pronunciation acquisition from the segmental and suprasegmental aspects. Based on the studies and analysis, it hopes to inspire teachers to arouse awareness of the differences between English and Chinese pronunciation among learners, making students acquire native-like pronunciation actively and positively. The study used a Quasi-Experimental design and looked at it through the lens of Self-Determination theory. The study included a total of 40 second-year Junior High School students from two distinct classes. The research was aimed at students aged between 13 and 15 years, and therefore, only students within that age range were selected to participate. Students in the experimental group received Inquiry-Based instruction, while the control group used traditional instruction. The study lasted for four weeks and was an experimental one. To see if Inquiry-Based learning is more effective than traditional teaching, a test with 20 questions was used as a pre-test and a post-test for both the experimental group and the control group. The results of the study showed that students who were taught using an inquiry-based method scored higher than those who were taught through a traditional technique. Self-efficacy refers to subjective beliefs in one’s abilities to perform a task (Bandura, 1997) and it belongs to cognition. Therefore, writing self-efficacy was studied widely on the ground that the two concepts share something in common: cognition.Writing self-efficacy refers to individuals’ judgments of how well they can accomplish a writing task based on their assessments of “various composition, grammar, usage, and mechanical skills” (Pajares & Valiante, 2001, p. 369). Previous studies demonstrated that writing self-efficacy was positively correlated with writing outcomes (Woottipong, 2020; Sun & Wang, 2020; Micheaux & White, 2019) Paramartha, 2016; Kirmizi, 2015; Pajares & Valiante, 1999). It is also a feature of making social relations and communications move smoothly and become stronger. The current study aims to investigate the strategies of the speech act of advice by old females and males for the younger generation in written signs. Comparison is made between old females and males regarding their pragmatic use of advice and the way they are manifested in expressing gender identity differences. The sample of the study consists of (30) written signs of advice divided equally between the two gender groups. Hinkel’s (1997) classification of the strategies for perceiving the speech act of advice is adopted to code the data of the current study. The results show that females’ advice-giving strategies are more varied than males although the two gender groups rely heavily on one basic strategy. English normal students are an important source of basic English education in China, so it is of great importance to cultivating English normal students' teaching practice ability. In this study, the literature research method and questionnaire survey method were used to study the current situation of the teaching practice ability of English normal students at Yangtze University. It can be found that students with a more thorough understanding of the core competence have stronger teaching practice ability, which shows that core competence is an important theoretical support to improve the teaching practice ability of students. This research is critical for companies that want to improve their business performance by providing better service. This study created a business plan for MSEs to use the Marketing Mix and improve customer satisfaction by improving business performance. This study used a quantitative research design and descriptive analysis to describe and summarize the data that was gathered. The research was carried out at 30 licensed MSEs in and around Palayan City, Nueva Ecija. The researchers used a total enumeration technique to simply identify all of the respondents who met the criteria for the study. A total of 30 respondents were surveyed, the majority of whom were rank and file owners of licensed SMEs. The information gathered from the respondents was encoded, tallied, and analyzed using statistical tools such as Percentage, Frequency Distribution, Weighted Mean, Pearson r, and Thematic Analysis. The findings revealed a significant relationship between the respondents' marketing mix and business performance. Furthermore, the majority of respondents are dissatisfied with the business performance they are providing. The MSE owner can adapt improvements in business performance such as promotional strategy, lowering expenses, improving product quality, and providing good service to increase sales revenue and business growth. Their professional growth experiences can provide inspiration for teacher education institutions to train elementary school music teachers and for general elementary school music teachers to grow professionally on their own. The narrative study of the outstanding elementary school music teachers revealed that the factors affecting their professional growth were from four aspects: personal, family, school and society, and the basic ways of their professional growth were professional learning, teaching and research activities and reflective summaries.
