Handwriting recognition it is defined as the domain which allow a computer to interpret intelligible handwritten inputs from different sources. It is plays an important role in many areas, such as authenticating bank checking, exchanging remote computer files, and document duration. In this paper, we present a novel handwritten digit recognition method based on deep learning. In order to improve the performance of recognizing handwritten digits, we have proposed a new data augmentation method by using different encrypted digit images and image fusion techniques. The experimental results based on the CVL database shown that the proposed method achieved higher accuracy rates that were compared to the state of the art.","PeriodicalId":266229,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Pattern Analysis and Intelligent Systems (PAIS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128442793","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to their enormous complexity, most of these AI models, notably the most effective type, Deep Learning Models, are classified as Black-box models, making them difficult to comprehend. Therefore, the goal of deployable, transparent AI models is the focus of the current research field known as Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI).Humans can learn how machine learning algorithms generate decisions through explanation, which leads to novel data-driven insights. In this work, we study an explanation approach so-called the Grey-Box model. The developped Grey-Box model uses a self-labeling framework based on a semi-supervised methodology. The key idea of the Grey-Box model is to exploit the benifits of black-box and white-box models. For this purpose, we implement a mechanism to increase a small initial labeled dataset. It allows to incorporate the model's most reliable predictions from a large unlabeled dataset. The proposed approach results in an efficient black box model that is accurate and interpretable.","PeriodicalId":266229,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Pattern Analysis and Intelligent Systems (PAIS)","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134226632","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The human can be accepted or rejected based on the decision taken, that is built on a predefined threshold in the open-set systems, whereas in closed-set systems, the decision is built on the minimum score. Both systems have many drawbacks if they are performed separately. This paper presents a new identification system that combines the two systems. This combination offers all the advantages of both systems and overcomes their disadvantages. Consequently, this combination results new identification evaluation criteria. These new criteria are also described in this paper.","PeriodicalId":266229,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Pattern Analysis and Intelligent Systems (PAIS)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114261007","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, most of this information is on paper or on individual computers, which further complicates their processing. The smart university is a promising solution that will overcome most of the problems that slow down the development process of universities. This paper proposes a new pedagogy management system based on IoT tech-nology and the Hadoop framework to manage distributed data. The main objective is to respond to the limitations and challenges of existing systems and to provide an information system that helps its users to make intelligent decisions. Additionally, with the integration of the Hadoop cluster, the system provides better analysis times as the data grows. This article also presents a systematic review of papers that integrated new technologies into operations, processes, skills and models in education and, in particular, in academic institutions. The proposed system was tested in a real environment in the computer science department at the University of Guelma and the obtained results are very satisfactory.","PeriodicalId":266229,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Pattern Analysis and Intelligent Systems (PAIS)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114685093","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The development of QoS protocols is one of the main goals that researchers seek to develop in WBAN to achieve better and faster data transmission. In this work, a real-time routing protocol with quality of service is proposed, in which it provides critical and urgent data from the patient's sensor to the doctor's phone with a slight delay. Also, energy consumption is taken into account. The routing protocol proposed facilitates patient monitoring by doctors. The results of the evaluation show that the proposed protocol has a better performance compared to simple Dijkstra, from the side of residual energy and end-to-end delay, in small networks and dense networks too. These results can form the basis for further optimization of routing algorithms with QoS in BANs.","PeriodicalId":266229,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Pattern Analysis and Intelligent Systems (PAIS)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114652144","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The approach consists in dynamically applying a model-based test for each new version of the system under test. It uses for this (i) the AUML sequence diagram of each new version of the system under test to generate test cases capable of covering the new interactions introduced in this system, (ii) the constraints, expressed in Object Constraint Language (OCL), necessary for the execution of each interaction in order to take into account the specificities of interactions between agents that can be performed inclusively, exclusively, or in parallel, (iii) genetic algorithms to follow the evaluation of the introduction of new interactions in the system under test.","PeriodicalId":266229,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Pattern Analysis and Intelligent Systems (PAIS)","volume":"411 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122789895","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recently people are sharing architectural monument images on social media. In this paper, we try to recognize architectural monuments in digital photographs of Algerian cultural heritage using a convolutional neural network (CNN). As no datasets support the diversity of Algerian monuments, adapted for CNN training, we built a new dataset and made available to the public. AlgHeritage dataset consists of 20,000 images that can serve as a benchmark for various research fields, as it combines numerous real-world challenges. We evaluate our dataset with three CNN models MobileNetV3, InceptionV3 and InceptionResNetV2, and compare it with two other datasets. MobileNetV3 with fine-tuning produces a good accuracy of 93.29% on the AlgHeritage dataset in comparison with other datasets.
