A Routing Protocol With Quality Of Service In Body Area Network
A Body Area Network (BAN), also known as a Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN), is a type of computer network that can be embedded in the body, implanted, or placed on the surface of the body. The development of QoS protocols is one of the main goals that researchers seek to develop in WBAN to achieve better and faster data transmission. In this work, a real-time routing protocol with quality of service is proposed, in which it provides critical and urgent data from the patient's sensor to the doctor's phone with a slight delay. Also, energy consumption is taken into account. The routing protocol proposed facilitates patient monitoring by doctors. The results of the evaluation show that the proposed protocol has a better performance compared to simple Dijkstra, from the side of residual energy and end-to-end delay, in small networks and dense networks too. These results can form the basis for further optimization of routing algorithms with QoS in BANs.
