The different possibilities of shadow corrections are considered which allow one to avoid the unitarity violation. The possibility of estimation of the quality of phenomenological sets of the structure functions on the base of perturbative QCD is presented. Two approximate methods to extract the gluon distributions directly from the F2(x, Q2) data are discussed together with the new HERA data. Charm and beauty hadroproduction and photoproduction processes are considered in the framework of perturbative QCD and the results are compared with conventional parton model predictions. The role of infrared region contribution to F2(xQ2) structure function is discussed. The case of nuclear targets is considered also and A-dependences of charmed and beauty hadron production cross sections are calculated accounting for the difference of parton distributions in free and bound n...","PeriodicalId":264948,"journal":{"name":"Surveys in High Energy Physics","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1997-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132506137","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We determine the light hadronic spectrum and the meson decay constants. For the light-light systems we find an agreement with the experimental data of $sim 5%$ for mesonic masses and $sim 10%-15%$ for baryonic masses and pseudoscalar decay constants; a larger deviation is present for the vector decay constants. For the heavy-light decay constants we find $f_{D_s}=237 pm 16 MeV, f_{D} = 221 pm 17 MeV (f_{D_s}/f_D=1.07(4)), f_{B_s} = 205 pm 35 MeV, f_{B} = 180 pm 32 MeV (f_{B_s}/f_B=1.14(8))$, in good agreement with previous estimates.","PeriodicalId":264948,"journal":{"name":"Surveys in High Energy Physics","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1997-04-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127911514","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A special emphasis is placed on the reactions e+e−→ W+W−→ 4 jets and e+e− → tt → bW+bW−. A transparent recipe is given for quantifying the level of suppression of the interference effects in the inclusive production processes. The influence of the W width on the Coulomb corrections to the threshold W+W− production is briefly addressed.","PeriodicalId":264948,"journal":{"name":"Surveys in High Energy Physics","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1997-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132224065","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

QCD is able to describe the main properties of the hadron interactions at very high energies, including the behaviour of the total inelastic and diffractive cross sections. The inclusive spectra of secondary hadrons are governed by the production and fragmentation of the gluon minijets with transverse momentum qt∼qo , which grows with energy as q2 t ∼q 2 o∼ A2exp(2.5√lns). Thanks to this fact one can apply the pert. It is shown, that the gluon is reggeized and the pomeron is a compound state of two reggeized gluons.
