Various authors have considered that these events are caused by the decay of supermassive particles emitted by topological defects formed during the symmetry breaking of a GUT. However, in the framework of supersymmetric theories, the decay of topological defects should produce not only “normal” matter like protons, photons and neutrinos but also supersymmetric matter. The supersymmetric particles decay producing neutralino as the lightest supersymmetric particle. We present cross sections of ultra high energy neutralinos with matter and estimate the energy density of neutralinos produced by superconducting strings.","PeriodicalId":264948,"journal":{"name":"Surveys in High Energy Physics","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1997-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124023634","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

I will also draw analogies between antiferromagnetic phase transitions and chiral phase transitions in lower (particularly 2 + l)-dimensional gauge theories and also some 2+1-dimensional four-fermi theories where chiral symmetry breaking patterns depend on the coupling constants and also the matter and gauge field content of the theory. I will begin by reviewing some arguments that, in the infrared limit, the dynamics of Goldstone bosons in the confining and chiral symmetry breaking phase of 2 + 1 dimensional QCD is identical to the effective spin wave dynamics in 2 dimensional generalized quantum antiferromagnets. I also discuss the possibility that certain quantum critical behaviors in generalized antiferromagnets can be analyzed using the principle of ...","PeriodicalId":264948,"journal":{"name":"Surveys in High Energy Physics","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1997-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114257571","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is shown, that the gluon lies on its Regge trajectory and the pomeron in QCD is a compound state of reggeized gluons. The conformal invariance of the BFKL equation in the impact parameter space is used to investigate the hadron scattering amplitudes at high energies and fixed momentum transfers. The remarkable properties of the Schrodinger equation for compound states of an arbitrary number of reggeized gluons in the multi-colour QCD are reviewed. The gauge-invariant effective action describing the gluon-Reggeon interactions is constructed. The known next-to-leading corrections to the QCD pomeron are discussed.","PeriodicalId":264948,"journal":{"name":"Surveys in High Energy Physics","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1997-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132616596","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The flavor-spin structure and sign of the short-range part of the spin-spin force reduce the St/(6)FS symmetry down to SU(3)F × SU(2)S, induce hyperfine splittings and provide correct ordering of the lowest states with positive and negative parity. There is a cancellation of the tensor force from pseudoscalar- and vector-exchanges in baryons. The spin-orbit interactions from p-like and ω-like exchanges also cancel each other in baryons while they produce a big spin-orbit force in NN system. A unified description of light and strange baryon spectra calculated in a semirelativistic framework is presented. It is demonstrated that the same short-range part of spin-spin interaction between the constituent quarks induces a strong short-range repulsion in NN system when the...","PeriodicalId":264948,"journal":{"name":"Surveys in High Energy Physics","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1996-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126860619","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
