It is progressively gaining popularity in ophthalmologic diagnostics. Compared to any other imaging modality, OCT enables clinicians to obtain retinal images with much higher resolution. This paper discusses the basic functioning principle of OCT and various advancements that it has gone through starting from its invention by Huang et al. in 1991. Following a review regarding some developed image processing methods, the paper concludes by discussing the limitations and future scopes in OCT image analysis and its application in automated diagnosis. Discourse markers linguistically realize the coherence relations in the surface form. On the other hand, by text aggregation, redundant entities are eliminated, resulting in more fluent, coherent, and concise text. For any but the most application of text generation, appropriate discourse marker selection and text aggregation are two important aspects for coherent text generation. In this paper, we explore the prevalent syntactic aggregation constructs in Bengali and present a rule based approach towards generating Bengali compound sentences using the identified constructs. We present a user based evaluation to validate our approach. In this paper we propose a simple method for EEG classification based on Fourier features. Parameters like energy, entropy, power, and kurtosis were considered for discrimination of various categories of EEG signals. However, standard input methods for typing Bangla are not very widespread among Bengali users. In this paper we present the design and development of a novel Bangla phonetic keyboard layout that can be used to type Unicode enabled Bangla texts in a standard text editor using any QWERTY keyboard. The keyboard layout is based on Unicode 5.0 standard. We have evaluated the performance of our proposed layout with the existing Bangla keyboard layouts. Because sensor networks may be deployed in inaccessible area the position of sensor nodes may not be predetermined. Thus, a localization system is required in order to provide position information to the nodes. The cost and limited energy resource associated with common, mobile nodes prohibits them from carrying relatively expensive devices such as Global Positioning System (GPS). This paper proposes a mechanism that allows non-GPS-equipped nodes in the network to derive their approximated locations from a limited number of GPS-equipped nodes. Non-GPS nodes estimate the distance by measuring the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI).In our method, Hidden Markov Model (HMM) is used to estimate the approximated location of distance estimates with the help of mobility models. Several text prediction techniques have been reported in recent literature. Most of them concentrate on prediction method and keystroke savings. It is observed that other than these issues, many factors influence the performance of text prediction. This paper discusses these different parameters. In addition to prediction method, we also examine organizational structure and fast retrieval of suggestion, factor such as User Interface and Human factors, such as orientation of prediction list, number of suggestions to be displayed, proper placing of prediction window, training and testing etc. Issues such as keyboard-adjacency and motor-coordination slip are also illustrated. Towards this, pathological image analysis has gained immense significance among medical fraternity through visualization and quantitative evaluation of clinical features. Till today pathological inspection of human blood is solely dependent on subjective assessment which usually leads to significant inter-observer variation in grading and subsequently resulting in late diagnosis of certain disease. This paper introduced a systematic approach to morphologically characterize five types of white blood cells (WBC) through statistical pattern analytics. Marker controlled watershed segmentation embedded with morphological operator is employed to segment WBC and its nuclei from light microscopic image of blood samples. Henceforth, one cellular and eight nuclei-based geometric features are computed mathematically and analyzed statistically with t-test and kernel density functions to show their discriminating potentiality among the groups. Amongst all these features, only four statistical significant features are fed to Naïve Bayes classifier for pattern identification with 83.2% overall accuracy. This paper presents the comparative study between fixed and sinusoidal hysteresis current controller for pwm voltage source inverter. A comparison has been made in terms of THD level at the three-phase load current, current error minimization, average and maximum switching frequency of the converter switches in VSI. This is known as Mobile ad hoc networking (MANET) in which potential mobile users/clients arrive within the common perimeter of radio link and participate in setting up the network topology for communication. Nodes within MANET are mobile and they communicate with each other within radio range through direct wireless links or multi-hop routing. With the advent of such technologies, some vulnerabilities have also emerged which provides an opportunity for an adversary to invade such network and share/steal/deform information. The adversary may be internal as well as external i.e. node either participating in MANET or not.
