Propagation measurements collected in typical suburban environments have shown that each of these parameters, or its logarithm, is close to Gaussian. Accordingly, the set may be cast as a five-element vector of jointly random Gaussian processes which are completely specified by the means, standard variations, and mutual correlation coefficients of the five parameters.","PeriodicalId":261988,"journal":{"name":"1999 IEEE MTT-S International Topical Symposium on Technologies for Wireless Applications (Cat. Devices with ungated recess width in excess of 105 nm exhibit soft gain compression and out-of-spec inter-modulation performance. Degraded linearity is manifested in worse IM3 and significantly different IM5 dependence on the output power, whereas soft gain compression leads to premature power saturation, smaller power gain and power-added efficiency. Good correlation between the loadpull results, waveform measurements and 2-stage linear power amplifier performance data was obtained. This work provides insight into a critical device parameter for optimum performance of high linearity amplifier applications.","PeriodicalId":261988,"journal":{"name":"1999 IEEE MTT-S International Topical Symposium on Technologies for Wireless Applications (Cat. The antenna consists of an array of bow-tie antennas printed on a thin dielectric substrate that is fed through a corporate feed divider network. The array is backed by a low dielectric substrate coated with a metallized ground plane to provide one-sided radiation. This configuration is sandwiched by three low dielectric substrates placed directly on top of the array. A metallization pattern layer defined on each substrate converts the linear polarization to circular polarization. The final configuration offers a 21% axial-ratio bandwidth in a robust, low-cost, easy to manufacture, planar structure.","PeriodicalId":261988,"journal":{"name":"1999 IEEE MTT-S International Topical Symposium on Technologies for Wireless Applications (Cat.
