This results in a boundary control problem, where the control objectives are to reduce the amount of NOx emissions and ammonia slip to the fullest extent possible using the inlet concentration of ammonia as the manipulated variable. The proposed method combines the method of characteristics and spectral decomposition to produce a non-linear model predictive control (NMPC) approach. The results show that the proposed NMPC is able to achieve a very high level of control performance in terms of NOx and ammonia slip reduction.","PeriodicalId":257135,"journal":{"name":"2015 19th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121065519","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Starting with the linear approximation of the original nonlinear model of the motor, an on-line parameter estimation algorithm was developed. The algorithm deals with stator windings variations due to temperature oscillations. The resulted linear model was used, in order to control the rotor speed of the induction motor, based on a model predictive algorithm. The predictive control is an advanced control technique of the processes under operating constraints and uncertainties. The simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.","PeriodicalId":257135,"journal":{"name":"2015 19th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121068942","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the main problems in using DIC for deflection measurements is that direct correlation fails since image sample rotations can differ considerably across two images. The proposed method uses manually chosen reference points to create a spline that describes deflection. Curve geometries are then taken into account when calculating initial guesses for DIC grid points. When the expected rotation is known at any given point image samples can be rotated prior correlation and matches can be found. The validity and accuracy is demonstrated through a series of tests.","PeriodicalId":257135,"journal":{"name":"2015 19th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121512458","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Extended Prediction Self-Adaptive Control (EPSAC) is a part of this family of algorithms and is suitable for wastewater treatment plants control. The main goal of those industrial processes is to fulfil effluent water quality legal provisions with minimal energy consumption. In order to achieve this goal EPSAC control methodology has been applied to the wastewater treatment process. Benchmark Simulation Model No. 1 (BSM1) has been used to simulate the process dynamics. Two types of control strategies were implemented and tested: predictive control without taking into account measured disturbances and predictive control with feedforward. Feedforward control with two measured disturbances (the influent flow rate and ammonium concentration) has been tested.","PeriodicalId":257135,"journal":{"name":"2015 19th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"218 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128949273","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, we have evaluated the taggers using only five different parts of speech: noun, verb, adverb, adjective and others. Our embedded application represents a green solution into a growing number of environmentally aware consumers, very suitable for the market of energy-efficient control systems. We provide a cheap solution for developing by everyone its own automation system control house.
