Starting with the linear approximation of the original nonlinear model of the motor, an on-line parameter estimation algorithm was developed. The algorithm deals with stator windings variations due to temperature oscillations. The resulted linear model was used, in order to control the rotor speed of the induction motor, based on a model predictive algorithm. The predictive control is an advanced control technique of the processes under operating constraints and uncertainties. Abstract
This paper presents the modeling, estimation and control of an induction motor.
