A humanoid and actuated exoskeleton frames were modelled in Solid Works and assembled in Visual Nastran 4D virtual environment. Control of exoskeletons actuators by means of PID and fuzzy controllers, together with a finite state machine, was designed. Simulations of the humanoid wearing an exoskeleton to perform the mentioned tasks, using controllers with set and adaptive orientation references as input, were performed. It is assumed that the humanoid, representing an old person, is only capable to provide 70% of the required torque, therefore the exoskeleton must supply 30% to complete the motions. With the aid of exoskeleton devices, the elderly will be able to perform motions of a physically able people. Optimization of fuzzy controller parameters for walking motion was done using SDA. Set invariance in the original state space, also referred to as D-invariance, leads to conservative definitions due to its delay independent property. This limitation makes the D-invariant sets only applicable to a limited class of systems. Hence an alternative solution based on the set factorization is established in order to obtain more flexible set characterization. With linear algebra manipulations and as a main contribution, it is shown that similarity transformations are a key element in the characterization of low complexity invariant sets. In short, it is shown that we can construct, in a low dimensional state-space, an invariant set for a dynamical system governed by a delay difference equation. The artifact which enables the construction is a simple change of coordinates for the DDE. Interestingly, this D-invariant set will be shown to exist in the new coordinates even if in its original state space it does not fulfill the necessary conditions for the existence of D-invariant sets. In fact, these modern methods are better than traditional methods (for example, complete data analysis and mean imputation approaches), and in many particular applications can give unbiased parametric estimation. Because these modern approaches depend on linear parametric regression, they do not give good results, especially if the data distribution has highly nonlinear behaviour. This paper explains parametric estimation in cases of missing data, including an overview of parametric estimation with missing data, and provides accessible descriptions of nonlinear parametric and nonparametric estimation with missing data. In particular, this paper focuses on the effect of model selection methods on nonlinear parametric and nonparametric estimation in the presence of missing data. Document clustering is very important due to the fact that it permits us to group them based on some certain criteria, especially nowadays when a large number of articles are available. The timed series representation of the document instead of the vector model permits us to consider a new algorithm for the computation of the distance between documents: dynamic time warping. This novel representation together with the dynamic time warping algorithm represents the foundation for computing the similarity and the clustering of the documents. The clustering algorithm used is hierarchical clustering. This novel clustering method of texts is applied on named entities and on the parts of speech of the words that compose the documents. HIPEC requires the use of an equipment that delivers the cytostatic solution inside the peritoneal cavity at high temperature of 41°C-43°C. In this paper the authors present a temperature control structure for an innovative HIPEC equipment, that is under development. A discrete Internal Model Controller is designed for the cytostatic solution's temperature control. Some improvements are presented to shorten the computation time which is very important in practical cases.
