Management approaches continuously evolve through time but often disregarded one vital organizational aspect, values. The Philippines is preparing itself on the challenges that ASEAN integration will bring to the country in the academic sector. This study evaluated the level of management by values of industrial technology teachers in the College of Industrial Technology of Bulacan State University. The descriptive method of research was used to describe and quantify the profile, level of management by values of industrial technology teachers in the College of Industrial Technology of Bulacan State University. Convenience sampling, a non-probability sampling technique, was used. Findings of the study uncovered that industrial technology teacher profiles of the College of Industrial Technology in Bulacan State University confirmed that teachers were comparatively in their middle ages, male dominated, by and large married, and commonly with Master’s degree. The level of management by values in terms of ethical-social values, economic-pragmatic values, and emotional-developmental values were all perceived at a high level. There were significant differences in the perceptions of students and industrial technology teachers on the level of management by values. This is a call to intensify for the bully-free environment among affected sectors especially in academe. This study described types, sources, and frequency of bullying behaviors encountered by nursing students in their second, third and fourth year of nursing education. The descriptive cross-sectional design is utilized to assess bullying behaviors from nursing students’ perspective. Four- hundred eighty-one (481) respondents experienced at least one or more bullying behaviors from different sources. It also indicated that classmates as the most frequent source of eight out of 12 bullying behaviors, followed by faculty/clinical instructor. However, majority claimed that nothing had been done to bullying behaviors they experienced ( f - 156, 15.23%), they pretended not see behavior ( f - 155, 15.14%), perceived behavior as a joke ( f - 153, 14.94%) and put up barriers ( f -143, 13.96%), respectively. The evidence is clear; bullying poisons academic setting, and it can be carried over to practice. Thus, serious attention and management for nursing schools have to strengthen policies/guidelines to bullying prevention. Caring, safe, bullying free environment and collaborative efforts of zero tolerance to bullying has to be established for student nurses in academe. It likewise looked into the English professors’ assessment of the program and the pre-service teachers’ level of English proficiency before and after undergoing the program. Data gathered using the English Proficiency Test and the Survey Questionnaire were treated using frequency, rank and percentage, mean, Kendall Coefficient of Concordance, and t test.  The following were the findings: a) the breadth of the respondents’ errors reflects the need to address their language deficits; b) the Training Program was Very Highly Acceptable; c) the evaluators have more or less similar assessment of the Training Program, and d) the English Proficiency of the pre-service teachers improved after undergoing the Training Program. Based on the results, the following are recommended: a) English teachers should give pre-service teachers more fun-filled drills to reinforce the latters’ learning of grammar; b) the English Proficiency Training Program for pre-service teachers be adopted for use; c) others should evaluate the program for further enrichment, and d) the program be used to other respondents to confirm its effectiveness. Fifty-six LSU administrators most of whom are members of the Expanded Operations’ Council served as the respondents of the study. The descriptive method of research was employed. Survey questionnaire on Assessing Your Natural Leadership Style adapted from Glanz (2002) was utilized. The statistical procedure that was used in the study was percentage distribution. Findings revealed that many LSU administrators are eclectic who exhibit combinations of natural leadership qualities. Besides, most of the LSU academic administrators are Adaptive Assertive while the non-academic administrators are eclectic. The administrators from the Basic Education Unit are Adaptive Assertive and Dynamic Supportive while the College administrators are eclectic. Lastly, the seasoned and new administrators are both eclectic who exhibit equally strong tendencies in many areas or natural leadership quality types.","PeriodicalId":256981,"journal":{"name":"IAMURE: International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-01-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122157043","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While some of the store ownersluckily make profit, a number of them fail to manage their business venture.  Itis in this premise that the researcher is pushed to study why these entrepreneurswere not as successful as the others. Specifically, this paper aimed to determine theentrepreneurial competencies of the SME operators of Ozamiz City Public mall,Philippines.  This study was limited only to 100 College level SME operators. The entrepreneurial competencies were measured in terms of Time Managementskills, Marketing Management skills, Technical skills and Financial Managementskills.  This study used the descriptive research method in determining theentrepreneurial competencies of the SME business operators and gathered datathrough a standardized questionnaire. The findings revealed that out of fourteenareas of the SME operators of Ozamiz Public Mall, Philippines, nine areas werefound to have high competencies in terms of Time Management skills, FinancialManagement skills, Marketing Management skills and Technical skills. On the other hand, six out of fourteen were found to have Moderate competenciesonly. The studydetermined the performance difficulties of the students in four operationswith Basic Mathematics employing descriptive- comparative design to sixty(60) randomly selected college freshmen. This context in Mathematics hasbeen always identified as the dimensions in which students likely show dismalperformance hence, a further study is conceived. A thirty- item test in integers,decimal numbers and fractions across four operations was the main instrument used in the study. Data gathered were analyzed utilizing One-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) to compare difficulty differences. Result showed thatstudents encountered difficulty in subtraction of integers, division of decimalnumbers and fractions caused by procedural complexities where frequencyof errors was prominent. Difficulty differences in performing four operationswith Basic Mathematics were mostly found significant. Thus, it can be inferred that students cope difficulties with Basic Mathematics to varying extents. Withthis, it is recommended that students should solve integers, decimal numbersand fractions more often as a useful aid to memorize their corresponding rulesinvolving different mathematical operation tasks.
