The study evaluated the extent Pikit Agricultural Colony fulfilled its mandate. The study used the descriptive design. Results showed that the colony as an experiment on multiethnic co-existence is a failure. There were very few Muslims and indigenous colonists among Christian colonos in the four villages originally assigned for colonization. In most colono villages, Christian inhabitants prefer to live among themselves than allow other groups to settle in their villages. Pikit did not develop into an agricultural base for production of basic foodstuff for the nation. Internecine strife prevented it from progressing into what it was planned to be. The original villages of colonos and their descendants have increased in population over a ninety year period except village Calawag. Children of colonos in this villages migrated to other places even outside of the country. The study concluded that the descendants of colonos consider the venture of their parents and grandparents as success. The government planners and some economic analysts consider it a failure. The selected MFIs were ASKI and TSPI with 162 respondents. Descriptive research was used. Results showed that majority were engaged in marketing and had less than 5-year membership. All acknowledged that MFI had high contributions towards their economic growth in terms of Size of Capital, Return of Investment, Net Profit, Net Worth, and Total Assets. They agreed to have encountered problems with MFI in its operation in terms of high risk in operating microfinance; very slow business growth probability; voluminous number of small transactions; very volatile market; high costs of monitoring and evaluation; very poor loan repayment rate; loan proceeds were utilized in other purposes; very slow processing of loan that caused loss of business opportunity; very short term of loan and frequent repayment schedule hampered micro-enterprises’ cash flow; and very small amount of loan offered. They recommended solutions to MFI: reduction of documents needed to fast track loan processing; replacement of collateral based-lending to cash-flow-based lending; increase on amount of loan; giving reasonable grace period for repayment; strict monitoring of MFI to ME in the use of loan; strict collection drive to improve repayment rate. The quasi-experiment following a non-equivalent control group design was used. Two sections of 2nd year BSIT students of Isabela State University-Cauayan Campus were involved. The study administered pre-test and post-test. The scores in the achievement test and standardized attitude inventory test were compared and the significance of their difference was determined using the t-test. The control group and the experimental group were equal in terms of cognitive level in Physics. However, the students exposed to the constructivist approach of laboratory teaching had significantly higher post-test scores and higher mean gain scores than the students exposed to the traditional approach after the study was conducted. The experimental group developed a more positive attitude towards Physics than the control group. Moreover, there was a significant difference between the post achievement scores and post attitude scores of the students exposed to constructivist approachbased experiments and traditional experiments. The Constructivist Approach Experiments are effective in enhancing students’ achievement and in developing a more positive attitude towards the subject than the traditional approach. Ninety-two (92) college faculties from different colleges and school served as respondents of this study. The descriptive method of research was employed. Survey questionnaire on educational philosophy inventory with Cronbach’s alpha of 0.829 received by the researcher as part of the kit and handouts during the First Learning Leaders Congress last May 2009 was utilized. The statistical procedure that was used in the study was only percentage distribution. Findings revealed that majority of the CAS faculty are upholding the progressivism and eclectic philosophies of education. The Accounting teachers and majority of the Computer Studies, Education, and Hospitality Management teachers espouse the progressivism school of thought. Most of the Business and Economics, Engineering, and Nursing faculty members are eclectics who do not subscribe to one particular philosophy. Aside from being eclectic, the Nursing teachers are also equally essentialists, behaviorists, and progressivists. The educational philosophy being espoused by the majority of the faculty in the entire college unit is progressivism. Both probationary and permanent teachers uphold the progressivism philosophy of education which implies that they are more child-centered in their approach to teaching and they require their students to really be actively engaged in the learning process. Standardized tools were used to determine the levels of spirituality and work stress. An in-depth interview with the top and lowest ten on spirituality was conducted to further validate the findings. This study’s findings reveal that the faculty’s extent of work stress was low. As to spirituality, they considered themselves highly spiritual. Moreover, the study showed that age, gender, educational attainment, and length of teaching experience did not significantly influence the teachers’ level of work stress. However, only gender was found to have a significant influence on the faculty’s level of spirituality. Finally, no statistical evidence was found that the faculty’s level of spirituality had a significant effect on their level of work stress. However, results of the in-depth interview reveal the practical significance of spirituality in relation to work stress. Therefore, the findings offer insight into the limitation of empirical study to measure objectively the spiritual domain of man. Hence, the role of spirituality still cannot be dismissed despite the lack of statistical evidence. Specifically, it sought to address the following concerns: the students’ level of personal values; their level of interpersonal values; their performance in mathematics; and the relationship between their personal and interpersonal values and mathematics performance; ultimately leading to a theory validation on values and mathematics performance. The students are categorized as average in their Personal Values in terms of Practical Mindedness, Variety, Decisiveness and Goal Orientation as well as in their Interpersonal Values in terms of Support, Recognition, Independence and Benevolence. The college students’ personal and interpersonal values do not significantly affect their performance in mathematics. Thus, they could still perform well even if they have not acquired these values. As a result, this study validates the world-view of mathematics through the ages that scientific thinking as utilized in this discipline is concerned with truth and not values, implying that it is truly objective, values- free and neutral. A manager brings his people and personality to his office. This theory signifies the indispensability of one’s personality to a leader’s performance in his official job (Davis and Newstrom 1995). This descriptive survey-correlation method of research tried to find out which conflict management styles relate significantly to the personality attributes of the Southeast Asian school managers. The findings may serve as a feedback as to how this group of school managers manages conflict in certain situations and as a partial basis for assessment to determine their conflict management styles and personality attributes. The result indicated non-significant differences between their conflict management styles used in each of the five areas of concern which was established based on the computed value of the Phi-Coefficient since there were only two conflict management styles expressed by them in each area of concern namely, Integratingand Forcing. Point-Biserial Correlation Coefficient resulted to significant relationships between their conflict management styles and personality attributes since conflict management styles of Executive Position and Career have significant relationships with Selfesteem and Risk taking personality attributes. Do these practices and conditions reflect a work-life balance? Are our teachers still able to rest and enjoy life after school? These are the questions posed by the study, Teachers' Life after School. Respondents of this undertaking were 67 teachers from the Integrated School to College. It was a descriptive research utilizing frequency and percentage. Results showed that our teachers are generally active and practicing Catholics. Socially, they are active in using the social network in communicating with their students. Most of their evenings and week-ends are spent preparing work related materials. Only 7% indicated that they are able to rest during evenings. Economically majority aspires to save but is not in the position to do so at present while professionally, most teachers aspire to earn their doctoral degree. Though a related study in 2009 concluded that generally, LCC teachers have a high state of wellness; this current research concluded that most teachers do work related tasks during evenings and week-ends. This recognition of the need for specific preparation for aspiring school leaders has been slower to emerge worldwide and in many developing countries such as Malaysia, preparatory training is still not a prerequisite requirement for appointment as a principal. This paper reports on the preliminary findings on the principal preparation program in Malaysia and the effectiveness of the program elements in contributing to the self- efficacy development of the aspiring principals. The qualitative study captured the “live experiences” of two distinct principals and presents their perspectives on how specific elements within their principal preparation program catered to their self- efficacy development. Reflections of the principals led to the conclusion that, although the principal preparation program was viewed as effective in imparting knowledge and skills needed for principal leadership but it could still improve on inducing purposeful elements or experiences to enhance the sources of efficacy beliefs which are vital for self-efficacy development. Plagiarism detection addresses this problem. The study validated the efficacy of the plagiarism detector software for quality assurance of a journal publication. Using descriptive method, the study examined 66 plagiarism detector reports and compared the extent of originality and plagiarism of the research article before and after adoption of the plagiarism detector accumulator technology. Results revealthat the journal had a high level of originality (91.31%) and low level of plagiarism (8.34%). Only 23.72 percentof the 550 detected cases were validated as true plagiarism, giving the software an efficacy rate of 24 percent. The sources of plagiarism included the web links, wikipedia, news, social networking sites, and blogs, among others. The use of these sources indicated the citation of grey literature and non-authoritative sources. Failure to properly document sources was the main cause of plagiarism. The software, however, cannot penetrate the secured databases of subscription journals-thus; plagiarism from these sources evades detection. Plagiarism detection software is effective in intercepting plagiarized sources which elude the scrutiny of the editorial board prior to final publication. The editorial board’s strong quality assurance mechanism and the intervention scheme reduced the incidents of plagiarism in 2009.
