Methods: A total of 50 male obese hypertensive patients with a mean age of 53 ± 7.6 years were recruited in this study. They were randomly assigned to five groups, including aerobic exercise, garlic extract, aerobic exercise + garlic extract, placebo, and control. Theexperimentalgroupsweresubjectedtoeightweeksof aerobicexercise(threesessionsperweek,eachsessionfor35-60minwith amaximumheartrateof 50% -70%)and/orgarlicextractsupplement(6gdaily). Bloodsampleswerecollectedbeforeinterventions and 48 h after the last exercise session. Statistical analysis of data was performed by dependent t -test and Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). Results: Body weight, body mass index (BMI), systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and NT-pro BNP in aerobic exercise, garlic extract, and garlic extract + aerobic exercise reduced significantly compared to control group (P ≤ 0.05). Body weight, BMI, andANPdecreasedsignificantlyinaerobicandaerobic+garlicextractgroupscomparedtogarlicgroup(P ≤ 0.001). Moreover,ANP reduced more significantly in aerobic exercise + garlic extract group than in aerobic exercise group (P ≤ 0.05). In addition, NT-pro BNP decreased more significantly in aerobic exercise + garlic extract group than in garlic extract group (P ≤ 0.01). Conclusions: It seems that both aerobic exercise and garlic extract are able to decrease obesity and hypertension. However, their simultaneous use has no additional effects on hypertension control although it influences the body composition and natriuretic peptides.","PeriodicalId":254271,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Clinical Research in Paramedical Sciences","volume":"94 7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127985976","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Klotho, a protein found in the kidneys and other tissues of the body, is influenced by age and level of physical activity. In this paper, using 66 papers published in PubMed and SID between 1997 and 2018, we examined the mechanism of action of Klotho on cardiac hypertrophy under senescence conditions. Studies have shown that aging results in the development of oxidative stress as well as increased MAPKandTRPC6. The main and holistic attitude of nursing care regards human as an integral whole. Having a holistic attitude to nursing is mixed with philosophical thinking, as such a thinking process helps nurses comprehend patient comprehensiveness and provide holistic and professional nursing care. Professional nursing care can be provided based on establishing relationships among the patient, their family and members of the healthcare team, and using management and thinking skills such as creative and critical thinking. Critical thinking is a type of thinking which is turned into an epistemological issue if fostered. The present descriptive analytical study was conducted by searching international databases using relevant keywords and disregarding time limits.
