The specific objective of the study is to examine the relationship between the measures of CG [Board Size (BS), Board Independence (BI), Board Gender Diversity (BGD), Audit Committee Size (ACS) and Audit Committee Independence (ACS)] and [performance of DMBs proxy with Returns on Equity (ROE)]. The data for the study would be gotten from the annual reports and accounts of the 10 DMBs on the basis of the variables under study. The type of relationship between the independent and dependent variables will be determined using descriptive statistics and correlation analysis, and the method of data analysis chosen was a multiple regression analysis using the OLS method by E-VIEW 9.0. DMBs that wish to enhance their FP, especially post covid-19, should try to reduce their BS to plus or minus ten, but with strict adherence to the regulatory guideline. This will ensure that the yearly huge expense on this is reduced and efficiency is guaranteed. This will have more positive influence on corporate performance. \u0000Keywords: Corporate Governance, Size, Gender, Board and Performance.

The aim of this research is to demonstrate the effects of misplaced stress on the syntactic categories of words (verbs and nouns). To get and process the gathered data, a descriptive qualitative method is used. The study's population is third-year English department students' for the academic year 2021–2022. In the first semester, the students take a phonology course, which is beneficial to our study. The study's sample included 20 male students. The researcher designed an oral recorded test and a written test to collect the data. To measure the acoustic properties of English words for the oral recorded test, the data was analyzed using "Praat soft wave." For the written test, the SPSS program was used. The findings revealed a clear deficiency in the students' ability to manage stress effectively. This failure attributed to a lack of knowledge about stress placement and its effect on syntactic category. Furthermore, students do not get enough practice and feedback on stress placement while speaking and reading activities. \u0000Keywords: Stress Placement, Word Stress, Syntactic Category, Albaha University Students.

In recent experience, unemployment has pushed people to think entrepreneurship and the creation of one’s own business as the only alternative for survival by people irrespective of their educational background. It is in the light of this, that this study examined the perception and attitudes of students in Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, Kogi State Nigeria, towards career in fashion designing and job creation. The study objectives included a cursory look into the perception and attidutes of the students towards fashion designing as a career, ascertaining the socioeconomic benefits of fashion designing as a means of job creation and an identification of the challenges associated with fashion designing as a career. The study adopted survey research design with the sample size of 377 from the total population of 23, 927 students using Krejcie and Morgan statistical table, while Schumpeter’s Innovation theory was used to justify the place of fashion designing as a career. Questionnaire and in-depth interview were used as instruments of primary data collection with the aid of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) V. 20 and content analysis as tools of data analysis. Findings from the study revealed amongst others, that a significant number of Prince Abubakar Audu University students had a high level of perceptions towards fashion designing as they showed interest in the career in fashion designing, and that they as well had a positive attitude towards it while some of them reported that they go for training frequently during the holidays. The study also revealed that choosing a career in fashion design can help create jobs and reduce the rate of unemployment in the society and thereby contributing to the growth of the Nation’s economy because fashion designers are job creators and not job seekers. It further identified that there are certain challenges faced by Prince Abubakar Audu University Students who were interested in choosing fashion designing as a career such as lack of capital amongst others, and concluded that "fashionpreneur” as a lucrative business has the capacity to reduce unemployment in Nigeria and Kogi State in particular if it is properly explored into. Therefore, it was recommended amongst others that school authorities should sponsor empowerment programmes in the school and likewise the government at all levels should provide grant and soft loans for students fashionpreneurs and fashion designers to help their innovativeness in the career. \u0000Keywords: Perception, Attitudes, Career, Fashion Design, Undergraduates, University.

These forests protect coastal communities against natural calamities. It has been observed that areas with less or absence of beach forests and mangrove systems were highly devastated compared to those with. However, these ecosystems were neglected due to lesser studies and baseline information about the species diversity and community structure and its role in the overall ecology of the area. The study assessed the species diversity and community structure of beach forests in San Fernando, San Jose, Antique, Philippines. The study used the transect line plots method in an area that was purposively selected. The general floristic composition was based on an ocular survey of the selected site. Characterization of community structure was done using accepted parameters. Results showed a total of sixteen (16) beach forest species that belong to twelve (12) families. Tabernaemontana pandacaqui and Jatropha gossypifolia were found to be the most frequently occurring species. The plant diversity of the area is low (mean H’ = 0.968) which is attributed to anthropogenic disturbances. The species with the highest Importance Value was Capparis micracantha (IV =61.02). Overall, beach forest in San Fernando, San Jose has a high species evenness (J’ = 0.929) which proves that conservation and preservation efforts must be increased.
