Basith","doi":"10.24297/IJREM.V7I5.4328","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24297/IJREM.V7I5.4328","url":null,"abstract":"The objectives of this research are: (1) to describe and analyze the implementation of the guidance and counselling program at State Senior High School of Singkawang, and (2) to find some factors inhibiting the implementation of the guidance and counselling program at State Senior High School of Singkawang. This study uses qualitative methods; using interview data collecting technique, tested its validity through triangulation. The subjects in this study are all teachers of guidance and counselling in the Senior High School of Singkawang as many as 10 people as well as principals and supervisors as the informants with the total of 11 people. The data analysis techniques are in form of data reduction, presentation and conclusion. The purpose of this article is to share my personal experience with Interactive videoconferencing with Nursing students. This method was challenging to me in the beginning, but as lecturers progressed it went well and students enjoyed the lectures according the statements made by themselves. Therefore, the training and preparation of students to do well in mathematics has become fundamental goal of education for most countries and more specifically in Ghana. Applying Hierarchical Linear Modeling on the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) 2007 data, the relationship between attitudinal and instructional variables and mathematics achievement among Ghana’s grade eight students was examined. Prior to the analyses, exploratory factor analyses were conducted for clusters of similar items to reduce the number of predictor variables. The results indicate that student’s gender, educational aspirations, self-confidence in mathematics, value for mathematics, and frequent use of some instructional variables were significant positive predictors at Level 1. The sample comprised 60 athletes, 30 males and 30 females respectively with the average age of 13,61 ( + 1,48 ) years and previous competitive experience in local and/or peripheral levels. The method used during the study was completed in two sessions. Firstly, all participants were measured according to two variables (precision, score) while performing a forehand and a backhand drive test where competence was being registered. The measurings during the performance of these two strikes were imitially realized with the insertion of visual and later of hearing stimuli. A week later, the measurings were repeated using the same sample (reliability control). The results proved that the values of the second measuring were clearly better than the values of the first one. However, the measuring`s reliability ranges within satisfactory levels (r=.83). Moreover, the negative effects of visual and hearing influences upon the athlete`s performance proved to be mainly visual and secondly hearing. The second part of the paper discussed the action research in education and the reflection of the person you are is the researcher you are in educational research settings. Finally, the paper conclude that there is no single formula when it comes to conducting research in education, each and every researcher regardless of his or her area of study would always be conducting research based on what he or she thinks and deems is the best research paradigm and method to adopt.
